“Our pups love Montana! She took great care of our two girls and we loved the pics. We came home to two very happy and well-exercised pups. Thank you for accepting such a short notice booking!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Mae. She was wonderful with my cats. She was reliable, punctual and followed all of my crazy requests. I felt comfortable being away. I hope she is available the next time I have to be out of town.”

About: Since I was a toddler I’ve had dogs around me, growing up with Newfoundland’s (they are big!!) and German shepherds. I also have experience with other large breeds like Great Danes and hounds as well as small like Maltese’s and chi weenies! I love all dogs and exploring with them! I do work as a teacher so I will be available for evening walks as well as weekends. My own dog I walk daily rain or shine and will do the same for you! I have a chiweenie who is very friendly and loves adventures! We love walks- long or short! I understand not all dogs mesh well with others so my dog can always stay home from walks!
“I highly recommend Ciara! She genuinely loves animals. Her communications and pictures allowed me to relax while away and not worry about my sweet, senior cat. I would hire her again without any reservations.”
“Kerryanne was fantastic and helped me to have peace of mind while I was away. This was my first time having a pet sitter for my two cats, and she listened to everything I had to say, was very reassuring, and it was simply a fantastic experience over all.”

“Shana was a fantastic and dependable pet sitter for our three beloved cats. She was attentive and followed our guidelines/instructions exactly. I will definitely be booking Shana again in the future!”

About: I have done in home visits and dog walking for pets of all types. 3 years of experience. Tons of availability. True animal lover at heart. Many references available. I am currently not working and I'm looking for a few regular gigs to keep me busy. I love to walk and hike. I love people and animals in general. I currently am a homemaker with a fenced in yard, three cats at home, and a dog nephew who gets dropped off for at my discretion for either a long day of daycare or a sleepover.
“Breanna was absolutely fantastic, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided for my dog. Before the visits even started, we did an initial meet and greet, and I was immediately impressed by how meticulous she was in making sure she had all the information she needed. She asked thoughtful questions, took detailed notes, and made sure she fully understood my dog’s routine, personality, and needs. It was clear from the very beginning that she takes her responsibilities seriously. Breanna clearly takes great pride in what she does and understands the responsibility that comes with caring for a living creature. That level of professionalism and compassion gave me complete confidence that my dog was in the best hands possible. Throughout my time away, she was reliable, communicative, and provided updates that gave me real peace of mind. I came home to a happy, relaxed, and well-cared-for dog, which says everything about the quality of care she provides. I highly recommend Breanna to anyone looking for someone who is trustworthy, dependable, and genuinely passionate about caring for animals. I will absolutely be booking with her again in the future.”

“Alani was awesome with drop ins for our cat. We were very nervous leaving our cat home for the first time, but Alani helped ease our minds with great communication and pictures! Thank you again!”

About: I have been surrounded by all animal since I was very young. Dogs of all sizes and ages, cats, rodents, farm animals, reptiles, etc. I love learning more about animals and I appreciate the time I have with them. I respect animals and find it rewarding to work with them always. I am currently working part time and looking for a job that I enjoy to fill in the days. I have an open availability and am able to work weekends as well. In my home I have a fenced in yard, open areas in my house for my pets to roam. My dogs are fed on a schedule and let outside every 1 1/2 - 2 hrs, and go on walks in a sanctuary that is close by my house. My cat always has clean litter due to me cleaning it everyday, I also deep clean the litter box every week. My cat gets her water changed at lease 2-3 times a day and is fed on a time schedule.
“Mandey took good care of our cat and plants for an extended time that we were away. She gave pills to our cat, changed the litter box weekly, brought in mail, and aired out the apartment as needed. Mandey was very communicative and thorough. We’d absolutely ask her to take care of our cat again.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have always cared for them from walks to feeding to just playing. I know how to care for them and they trust me. I can work every weekday at pretty much anytime, though afternoons are preferred as those are the times most often available for me. I can also help multiple times a day as needed. I have animals of my own who I love dearly. I promise to care for yours as if they were my own. Any specific requests asked of me will be handled.
“Sarah was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure our dogs were well cared for in their own home environment while we were away! From feeding, bathroom breaks, walking and playing there is nothing our dogs missed while we were on our family vacation thanks to Sarah’s attentiveness!”

About: I’ve worked with exotic as well as household pets! I love them all! I have worked with birds, cats, dogs, rabbits, lizards, and snakes. I am comfortable with most animals and am willing to work within your comfort zone to give your pet a happy life. I work M-F with a set schedule. I personally walk or hike my dog daily. I can take out, check on, walk, or potty your animals as needed. I’d love to take them on a hike, or do some training exercises together. Enriching their lives, and creating a bond is the overall goal. I greatly enjoy dog psychology. Understanding and reading a dogs body language has been an absolute game changer for the relationship and training for my dog when he was a puppy. Creating a trusting relationship first and foremost and working with the individual dog in front of me. I work with infants and toddlers, so education, body language, and milestones are my niche.
About: I have been around dogs all my life and love all animals whether they’re big or small. My last family dog was blind and diabetic so I am familiar with taking care of animals who needs extra care. I have three pets: a dog (Molly) and two cats (Mr.Butters and Sgt. Pepper a.k.a. Sargento) and they’re my whole world. I currently have a lot of free time, so I can cater to your pet’s needs. I am comfortable popping in during the afternoon or morning if your pets need attention and their breakfast. I always treat pets homes with care and make sure they are cared for. I love to help make pets happy and will make sure they are entertained.

About: I have always had pets since I was a child: dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, etc…ranging from young dogs and kittens to senior dogs and cats. I am able to problem solve their different needs and administer meds. I am patient, responsible, and would love spending time with your furry friends. I am a teacher and have afternoons, nights, and weekends available during the school year, and a flexible schedule during the summer months. I am looking forward to caring for your pet with check-ins. During check-in visits, I will follow your care instructions and use my background knowledge to be there for your beloved pet. I love checking in and making sure pets are well cared for!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Taunton
We love Shana!! This is the 3rd time we’ve had her come take care of our 2 cats and as always we had a great experience. Shana is incredibly friendly, responsive, flexible, and communicative, sharing photos of our cats during each visit to check in. We’ll absolutely have Shana back in the future to care for our kitties!!

Hannah was amazing!! Great communication and went above and beyond for our girl. If you’re looking for someone reliable, honest and someone who genuinely loves animals, you found your sitter! Thank you again for all you did for Kenna and I hope we can book again in the future!!

Montana cared for my two cats for over a week and truly went above and beyond for them- even spoon feeding one when he was being a bit of a prince about eating. She was very respectful of my house and left everything clean. She even took out the trash and the litter genie bags at the end of the week which I did not ask for or expect! Thank you so much for taking such good care of them that I didn’t have to worry at all for the whole trip!

Amara has a good personality. She was punctual. She took a lot of pictures of Reesee and she gave me updates every day which I loved. She took the time to go to the third floor which is the loft to take pictures of Reesee because Reese's can be very shy I really appreciated that.💕 I would recommend her. I'm glad we met Amara!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Taunton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
