About: I have always loved and cared about all animals. I currently own 3 cats, a bearded dragon, a tarantula, and fishes. I am currently a veterinary assistant student and will be pursuing a vet tech degree right after! I have taken care of dogs since I was 12. Family friends would let me walk their dog around the neighborhood. Although I don't own any dogs currently, on my free time i go to the san martin animal shelter and do doggy day out. I take dogs on a field trips out of the shelter whether it is a hike, a day at the beach, or just a walk at a park. I am currently not working during the summer and am taking only online classes, so I have enough time play with you pups or kittens! As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life from large to small. From the time I was born we have always had a dog. All three were raised from the puppy stage so I have experience with all age dogs. I also grew up with a rabbit when I was younger and have been around cats all my life also. “So grateful we found Sophia -- she is excellent! We were nervous about finding someone to stay in our home for a week that not only we could trust, but that our sweet, but anxious and stranger-averse, rescue dog would let past her tough shell and get along with. I was stunned when our dog almost immediately warmed up to Sophia during our meet and greet (that never happens), and not only did she get along with Sophia, she clearly bonded with her and missed her after we returned from our trip. Sophia took great care of our home, treated our pup with so much love, provided much appreciated updates with photos and videos, communicated proactively and timely, took our dog on multiple walks a day (even though it rained most days, she bought a doggy raincoat!), and was gracious and flexible about trip date adjustments and meet/greet times. Can't say enough positive things about Sophia -- would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“Mike took good care of our two older dogs. They were happy and healthy apon our 5 day return and the house was great as we left it. He got packages from outside that werent supose to be delivered so that was great too. He showed up on time and stayed until our agreed upon touch down of flight very late the last night. About: I’ve raised five dogs of my own from puppyhood; as well as watched the dogs of my friends and family since I was young. I’ve had everything from mixed breeds, to French bulldogs, pugs, and even a pit bull! I have experience with oral medication administration and elderly dog care. My current dog was in my care before he could be weened, so I know plenty about little puppies! I believe in keeping my dogs as active as their health permits, so walks are a crucial part of the day for me. (If they can, of course. I’ve also had a senior dog with arthritis I’ve accommodated.) I have a knowledge of dog psychology and feel that it’s important to recognize dog behavior correctly. I’m currently working part time with a flexible schedule. As long as I know ahead of time, I’m most likely able to accommodate your pet. I always care for your pet as requested. Whether or not your pup is crate trained doesn’t matter, I’ve cared for both. If your dog needs medication, walks at certain times, a health specific diet, has allergies, can’t be around certain animals/noises/environments- I will go out of my way to make sure your pets needs are met. I will always treat your pet as my own.
