About: I have a huge heart for animals. I have had pets all of my life and consider them to be part of my family. I have experience taking care of dogs of all ages and know the commitment and responsibilities that come with caring for pets. If you have an energetic dog, I can take them on runs, jogs or long walks around the neighborhood. If you have a calmer dog then leisurely strolls around the neighborhood it will be. I have experience with shy and reactive dogs and I can give them the patience they need. I am also happy to just cuddle and spend quality time with your dog or cat. Taking care of them is truly a passion for me. Pet care fits perfectly in my schedule. I am a college freshman who is off for the summer and has a flexible schedule. If you and your family are away from home, I’m always free to check up on your furry companions! I will provide the attention your pet needs and follow any specific instructions you have for me. It is important to me that your pet is comfortable and feels safe at all times. Personalized care and giving your companions lots of love and attention are things I will do to make your pet feel happy and safe.
“My Kittens Sushi and Orion warmed up to Bri and were happy to have her company. She was great in being understanding of their personalities and routine as well as the logistics of their environment. Great communication and photos from her while I was on my trip. Would like to book her again. Thanks again Bri!”

“Kristen did a great job taking care of our Bailey. She is very pleasant and accommodating. She kept us updated and we were able to relax on our short trip knowing our fur baby was well taken care of.”

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Stephanie! From the very first meeting, she made us all feel so comfortable. She is truly a dog person who goes above and beyond for every pup in her care. We have two dogs with very different needs: one is reactive, and the other has ongoing medical requirements. Finding someone we trust with both of them felt daunting but Stephanie came in with calmness, confidence, and knowledge, knowing exactly how to approach our reactive dog and handling our other pup's medical needs with skill and care. Stephanie was wonderful at keeping me in the loop and made it obvious that our dogs' comfort and wellbeing were her top priority. We feel so incredibly lucky to have found her and will asolutely be booking with her again. If you have dogs with special needs, look no further!”

“Cali was great! She sent us pictures of our dog daily and was very considerate of our house. I would book with her again due to her attention to detail and caring manner.”

“Becky was very responsive and communicative each day while we were away. She sent pictures and took very good care of our two dogs. We would highly recommend her and definitely request her again on our next trip away.”

“Upon meeting Rose, we were instantly warmed by her friendliness and attention to our pets. She impressed us with her organization as she came prepared with thorough questions about our pets and home in preparation for our weekend away. We found her to be considerate of our space and thoughtful about making sure everything was done the way we expected. She went above and beyond by ensuring we received updates and photos all weekend long. We would be happy to work with her again in the future.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over seven years through the Wag! platform in addition to friends and family’s pups, and have experience with a wide variety of breeds and personalities. Over time, I’ve discovered that I truly excel with smaller, calmer, and more mellow dogs—and that’s where my focus is for Rover. I take a gentle, attentive approach to dog care, paying close attention to each dog’s comfort level, routine, and preferences. I’m especially mindful of dogs who thrive in quieter, low-stress environments and do best with patience and consistency. Whether it’s relaxed walks, cozy companionship, or simply maintaining their normal routine, my goal is always to create a safe, low-stress experience where dogs feel secure, respected, and genuinely cared for. Pet care is my top priority. My schedule is flexible so I may step away for some dog walks, but I am mindful of my schedule and adjust taking additional walks accordingly. I take safety, trust, and comfort very seriously in both my home and my clients’ homes. I approach every pet with patience and respect, allowing them time to adjust and feel secure in a new environment or routine. In my home, I maintain a calm, clean, and pet-friendly space that’s especially well-suited for smaller, mellow pets. I have a fully fenced yard, and all outdoor time is closely supervised to ensure safety at all times. I’m mindful of doors, gates, and potential hazards, and I create a quiet environment where pets can relax without unnecessary stress or overstimulation. I closely follow each pet’s routine, feeding instructions, and any specific care preferences shared by their owner. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the space with the same respect and attention as my own. I follow all instructions carefully, maintain consistency with the pet’s normal schedule, and ensure their environment remains safe, familiar, and comfortable. I’m attentive to changes in behavior or mood and communicate promptly with owners if anything seems out of the ordinary. Above all, I aim to build trust—both with pets and their people—by being reliable, observant, and genuinely attentive to each pet’s well-being.
“Liz and Rachel did an amazing job caring for Scooby, Jack and Slinky. Very responsive and shared many photos of our happy animals. I would gladly have them sit for our furry friends again!”

“Andrea is a gem. She is communicative, respectful, and left our home in excellent condition. My cats are everything to me and she took wonderful care of them while I was out of town for my birthday. She also left me a sweet card and note with an update. Will definitely book with her again.”

About: I’ve have been walking and taking care of dogs for the last 5 years now. From puppies to senior dogs that require medication, or stroller walks I am a full time dog sitter/ tutor, so I’ll have time to walk and play with your pooches. I am available Monday’s, Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons, Fridays and weekends. I have a fenced yard and 1 small male dog, (5.5 yrs old). I have 3 kids ( 20,18 and 15). My husband works from home 2 times a week as well.
About: I’ve been a pet owner my whole life, growing up I had three different dogs, Ruby, who died when I was 8, Ollie, and Zoe. I’ve had three fish, two mice, a lizard, and a hamster. Starting at age 12, I began dog and cat sitting for my neighbors and friends, and many families have relied on me for the care of their animals when they cannot be there. I also study animal science with a pre vet concentration in school so I'm extremely knowledgeable on how to correctly interact and care for pets I am currently a full time pet sitter, so sitting is my whole life at the moment. During the year I study animal science but when I am not working over the summer I love to read and bake! I always make sure front doors are closed or locked, pay special attention to certain rules and expectations of different pet owners, and never let animals out of my sight unless they are safely inside or in an enclosed outside space.

About: Hi, my name is Lee and I’m a recent architecture college graduate in the midst of transitioning between school and the work world. Growing up, I cared for many species of animals such as cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, and butterflies. I currently live with an orange tabby named Rosie who’s 10 and a little spicy. I have cared for and pet sat cats and dogs of friends and family for several years. I helped my sibling foster 4 kittens. I walked dogs ages two to fourteen and from 12lbs to 80lbs. No matter the size, I enjoy carrying for fur babies, while making sure each animal is comfortable, safe, and happy. My schedule is quite flexible - from morning to evenings - only working around personal projects and care. Drop-in visits toward the end of the evening are doable. I am generally available on weekends. I appreciate owners who provide detailed information on routines and care, so I can provide best for their pet as to ensure comfort and consistency. I have cared for cats and dogs from 5lbs to 80lbs and from elderly to energetic. I enjoy taking dogs out for regular walks, whether it’s just to get them out of the house or to tire them out. Usually I walk one pup at a time, but I have walked two medium size dogs (40-50lbs each) from the same household together. Some of the dogs I have cared for have been unfazed by people or other pets, while others have been well trained but anxious or potentially reactive to others dogs, requiring a soft muzzle. On overnights and drop-ins, the dogs I have cared for have had various diets, including raw food, kibble, and fruits/vegetables (as treats). I’ve had pets that required separate meals, unique rituals around meals, or specific supplements/pill medications at meals. Some households have asked I crate their dogs at night, while others have pups that want to be in whichever room I sleep.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to calm seniors. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality. I’m patient, friendly, and love making every pup feel happy and comfortable. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to spend plenty of time with dogs. I can fit walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day, adjusting to your dog’s energy and needs so they always feel cared for. I make sure dogs are always safe and comfortable. In my home, they can access almost every space, so they feel free and relaxed. I also have a small balcony on the first floor where they can get some fresh air safely. I always follow the owner’s instructions and keep a close eye on them to make sure they feel secure and cared for.
“Stephanie watched our three dogs and cat for a long weekend and did a wonderful job! Everyone was happy and healthy upon return. She was very respectful of our house and kept everything very clean. Stephanie followed my many instructions perfectly! I really appreciate her responsiveness and all the photos she sent throughout the weekend! Will definitely book again. Thank you, Stephanie!”

“Sarah is a dream dog-sitter! She asked all the right questions about my dog, and listened intently. I felt confident with her dog-knowledge and background, and knew my guy was in good hands! I will definitely use Sarah again!”

“Danielle did an absolutely incredible job taking care of my dog! I had her come and housesit for me since my dog definitely prefers to stay in her own space. Danielle's experience taking care of her own pets translated so well to taking care of my little one. She was able to follow very specific feeding instructions due to mine being such a picky eater. And Danielle was so communicative the entire time and was always sending me pictures and videos to let me know that my little one was doing great! I absolutely will be booking with Danielle again when I need to travel!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred English Town walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in English Town maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in English Town choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in English Town. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
