About: I’ve had several dogs over the years including puppies whom I’ve trained from scratch, as well as temperamental seniors. I love them all and they usually like me too. ☺️ To get $20 off your first booking, use this link: https://www.rover.com/sit/sonalv50918 I work part-time from home so I’m able to dedicate a lot of time and attention to your pet. Walking them is one of my favorite forms of entertainment and exercise. I have a 5 ft high fenced backyard and the Sierra Azul trail entrance is just a 5 minute walk from my house so there is plenty of walking terrain for your doggies. While at my house, your cutie pies will be allowed on the sofa and bed unless you say otherwise. I’m also able to drive out to your place and spend some cuddle time with your fur babies. Just let me know what their needs are, I’m adaptable.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was about 10 years old and have always loved being around animals. I have experience walking, feeding, playing with, and giving medication to dogs, including helping care for my neighbors’ dogs as well. I also have two cats, so I’m comfortable around both dogs and cats. I’m willing to help in any way I can and can’t wait to meet your pet! I just graduated from college and moved back home so I am able to help whenever you need. I am also very flexible and can work around your schedule! I always make sure pets are in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where they feel cared for and relaxed. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate routines, and any specific needs or preferences the pet may have. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship while their owners are away.

About: I have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember, including behavior and training. I believe that every dog is a good dog. I began my career in animal care at an exotic pet shop in my teens. Between retail gigs, I had the privilege of working at a rescue shelter and a zoo, where my passions for animal conservation and welfare continued to grow. After that I spent some time in the veterinary field, where I gained valuable experience as a veterinary assistant. It was working in the veterinary field where I really got to pursue my passion for working gently with anxious and "aggressive" animals. Due to some physical limitations, I am not able to work full-time anymore, so I am now taking time to focus on what I really love to do, which is making pet and owner's lives easier. In my free time, I love to crochet, play video and borad games, and go on hikes with my partner. I am currently available full time to walk, sit, or drop-in on your pet! I can make most days and times work. Let me know what you need. I am not able to host for pet-sitting currently, per my lease at my current living arrangement, but I am available to stay in the pet owner's home if requested.

About: Growing up with cats and dogs, I understand the depth of care, attention, and empathy each furry friend deserves. I am committed to delivering the very best care, determined to ease any stress that comes with a temporarily absent owner. I love physical fun, including walks, jogs and hikes. I prioritize the dog or cat’s care, safety, and comfort. I am patient and I would love to meet your pup or kitty! I work remotely, which benefits my furry clients very much! (I will just ask for a WIFI connection). I’m very flexible and am able to travel if you live relatively close by. Pups are always welcome at my home, but I prefer to come to you. I am happy to include pups in my pre-existing routines of morning walks or jogs or evening walks, jogs or hikes. Whatever the pup enjoys most!

About: I’ve been caring for family pets for as long as I can remember, so being around animals has always been a natural part of my life. During the pandemic, I began fostering dogs and gained hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing a little extra patience and attention. Through fostering, I’ve become comfortable with a wide range of personalities, routines, and care needs. I’m experienced with feeding, walking, playtime, basic training and reinforcement, administering routine care, and helping dogs feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. Most importantly, I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their individual personality, preferences, and routine so they receive the same love and attention I would give my own pets. I’ve fostered and cared for dogs and have a dog of my own, so pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. I work from home and have a flexible schedule with full availability, which means I can give pets plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. I prioritize safety, comfort, and trust in every pet care setting. I follow each pet’s routine and the owner’s instructions closely, while providing plenty of supervision, attention, and a calm environment. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I treat them like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable.

About: I grew up with dogs and have always loved animals. As an adult, I’ve been volunteering at the Humane Society for over 10 years and am qualified to work with some of the most challenging dogs there. I have undergone training for shy, rowdy and reactive dogs, and am continuing to practice clicker training. I am currently working from home. My work day typically starts early and ends early, so my afternoons are more available to take long walks. There is a trail that I walk most days that is about 3 miles, and it would be perfect for an active doggo! I can bring your dog out for frequent potty breaks during the day and give lots of pets between meetings during the week. We can also practice clicker training for basic manners.

“My cats took to Brooke right away, but what impressed me is her professionalism. When I’m gone, my sister cat-sits, but does not clean their litter box. So it’s not a huge job, nontheless, Brooke arrived daily, swept out their litter box, cleaned-up and dumped in the bin near my condo. She is smart, funny, and loves animals. My sister says Brooke’s visit was the event of the day for the cats. Really appreciated her upbeat personality and reliability. We hope to see her again. Meanwhile, highly recommend!”

About: I’ve raised five dogs of my own from puppyhood; as well as watched the dogs of my friends and family since I was young. I’ve had everything from mixed breeds, to French bulldogs, pugs, and even a pit bull! I have experience with oral medication administration and elderly dog care. My current dog was in my care before he could be weened, so I know plenty about little puppies! I believe in keeping my dogs as active as their health permits, so walks are a crucial part of the day for me. (If they can, of course. I’ve also had a senior dog with arthritis I’ve accommodated.) I have a knowledge of dog psychology and feel that it’s important to recognize dog behavior correctly. I’m currently working part time with a flexible schedule. As long as I know ahead of time, I’m most likely able to accommodate your pet. I always care for your pet as requested. Whether or not your pup is crate trained doesn’t matter, I’ve cared for both. If your dog needs medication, walks at certain times, a health specific diet, has allergies, can’t be around certain animals/noises/environments- I will go out of my way to make sure your pets needs are met. I will always treat your pet as my own.

About: I have had dogs and cats in my family home since I was a child. My mom and I provided fostering services and we took care of any needs the pets had. We had to deal with many emergency situations and we got very familiar with animals and what they need. I have also volunteered at the Humane Society and helped in any way that I could. I give my 100% to animals because they don't have a voice and they all deserve the best care! I treat the animals like I would like to be treated myself. I will always make sure to check on their needs and be very proactive. I have a dog friendly apartment community that is perfect for dog walking as well. I also have watched a lot of senior dogs, and I’m very familiar with giving them their medication and taking extra good care of them. I work from home full-time, so I am able to give your dogs the attention they need and take them out however often you would like. I am very good with animals and understanding what they need. I am extremely attentive and over protective and I am always monitoring my pets and others pets at all times. I just want to make sure they are happy and comfortable at all times. I truly believe in making the owner, feel confident and comfortable that they can enjoy their time away by knowing that their baby will have the best care.

About: Hello! My name is Amy. 😊 My husband and I are proud pet parents to our Puggle, Frankie, who we absolutely adore. We’ve had such positive experiences with Rover sitters, and now we’re excited to return the favor by offering a safe, loving environment for your dog while you're away. I know how important it is to feel confident in your dog sitter, and I want to provide you with peace of mind knowing your pet is well taken care of. Our home is an apartment with an enclosed balcony, and we’re surrounded by multiple parks where we walk Frankie every day. We prioritize exercise and love to take her out three times a day, including special weekend trips to trails, beaches, or parks for a little extra adventure. I believe in clear and consistent communication, so you can expect daily photos and updates about how your dog is doing. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or cuddles, I’ll treat your dog just like part of our family. We’d love to pamper and care for your dog while giving them the attention and exercise they deserve. Let me know if you’d like to chat more 😊 Since I work from home and my husband is off on weekends, we have plenty of time to care for our dog. We take Frankie out three times a day for potty breaks and 30-minute to hour-long walks, plus special adventures on weekends. You can expect the same level of care for your dog, along with any additional accommodations needed to ensure they feel comfortable and at ease during their stay with us. I prioritize safety and comfort for every pet in my care. At home, our dog-friendly apartment is secure, with an enclosed balcony and plenty of supervision during playtime. When caring for pets in their own homes, I follow the owner’s instructions to keep routines consistent and pets comfortable. I also provide regular updates with photos, so you can trust that your pet is safe and well-cared for.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - English Town

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
