âI couldnât be happier with the care Simba received again . From the first day, it was clear how loving and attentive Rikiya is. Communication was excellent, and Simba felt comfortable and happy. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family.â

About: Iâm basically the kind of person who will stop mid-conversation to say hi to a dog đ I genuinely love spending time with animals, and dogs tend to warm up to me pretty quicklyâwhether theyâre playful, shy, or a little bit dramatic. What sets me apart is the energy I bring. I donât just âwatchâ dogsâI hang out with them, play with them, and make sure theyâre having a good time while youâre away. Whether itâs a long walk, a game of fetch, or just being a cozy couch buddy, I adapt to your dogâs personality and routine. Iâm also super detail-oriented, so Iâll follow your instructions closely (meals, meds, quirksâyou name it). And youâll definitely get lots of updates and cute photos, because I know being away from your pet can be hard. Iâm great with both high-energy pups who want to play all day and older dogs who just want a calm, gentle presence. Either way, your dog will be safe, happy, and probably a little spoiled đ I work from home, so Iâm around pretty much all day to give your pet consistent attention and care. They wonât be left alone for long stretches, and I can easily stick to their routineâwhether thatâs regular walks, playtime breaks, or just being there for company. Having that flexibility means I can give pets lots of supervision, cuddles, and quick responses to their needs throughout the day. Itâs perfect for dogs who need extra attention, are a little anxious, or just love having someone around. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take time to understand each petâs routine so they feel relaxed and at home. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm space with a fully fenced backyard, daily secured leashed walks, and occasional park visits for extra fun and exercise. Since I work from home, they get constant supervision, attention, and plenty of cuddles. Iâm always mindful about safety and provide regular updates so you can feel at ease.
About: Iâve owned seniors dogs, puppies and everything in between. Jack Russell Terrier to English Mastiff. Iâve also owned cats with diabetes that required insulin daily, neurotic quirky animals weâve had to adapt to, chickens, goats, sheep, bearded dragons and other reptiles. We are an active family. Hilo and Koa go most places with us. However, there are times he must stay home in his covered kennel, fenced yard or inside depending on weather. We enjoy the rhythm of our daily routines just as much as all of our animals. To keep it humming everyone works in concert sharing the load of responsibilities.
âDebra was great! Amazing communication, sent me pictures of my pup throughout the day, and he came home exhausted, so I know he was played with and loved on. Thank you so much!â

âAbsolutely love, Rachel and her family! She is so willing to work through problems that arise during day care. Very supportive! Your puppy would be so happy to call her home their second home.â

âJennifer and her Family (human and fur) are a fantastic fit for Cleo. She is a high energy dog and comes home fully exhausted from her playdates with Jennifer, Rosey and their team! My husband told me it was the "perfect fit" for Cleo and us!â
About: Iâve been pet sitting for friends, relatives and clients for years. Our house is their petsâ second home when they travel or need us. I can do the same for you, too. During the weekend I am mostly home. Weekdays, I partially work from office and home. There is plenty of time to spend time with your pet or walk them frequently. My husband works from home full time, so there is always one or two adults at home. We live in a single house with a fenced backyard, and there is a big greenbelt right outside our backyard ( see images). Therefore itâs very convenient for frequent walks or play time for your pet. They can also meet other dogs as well. As a family, we are comfortable with being around furry friends. We volunteer with my daughters at a local farm cleaning, caring, pattingâŚ. Love it! Our own cat-Zeytin is very calm and friendly. We love to play, walk, cuddle, spend some quiet time with our pet and guest pets and will do the same with yours, too. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet! Nevin
âLady is a small needy sweet dog and she gets sad when left alone. Jen and her family are absolutely the best, and Lady feels right at home. I get great updates from Jen throughout the day and I know she is well taken care of and she has fun. I'm so glad I found Jen, thanks to her care I can work without worrying about Lady being home alone.â

âMimi is so amazing!!!. She is the first doggy sitter I have had through rover, and I have to say that I am more than pleased with her. She is so sweet and good with dogs, my girl loves her! I also mentioned to Mimi that my little girl has separation anxiety and she still took her on and has been willing to help me work on it with her. She sends me updates throughout the day (including pictures, which I love receiving at work). If you need someone trustworthy to care for your fur baby, give her a try. You will not be disappointed.â
âLyan is an extremely kind and understanding person. Kuma had a great time staying in her care! We were provided pictures during his stay, and she took extra precaution to check portions of his food.â

âRomeo enjoyed his day with Melissa, Vaughan and Beanie! Melissa was easygoing and caring, she even went above and beyond with extra long walks and potty breaks for him. She sent updates throughout the day, which was appreciated. Beanieâs house was very pet friendly, and Beanie was cute and well-trained as well :) Thank you!â

âI want to give a huge thank you to Bruno and his fiancĂŠe for taking such amazing care of my husky, Nova, especially on such short notice! From the moment I reached out, Brunoâs communication was clear, professional, and thoughtful. He asked about Novaâs allergies, schedule, and any personal preferences to make sure sheâd feel comfortable and safe throughout the day. Within the first hour, I received pictures and a video of Nova walking and playing happily with their sweet pup, Jojo. Throughout the day, Bruno continued to send updates, pictures, and videos, in total, I received 15 photos and 4 videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear from the start that Nova was not only being watched, but truly cared for. They even gave her snacks and a fun new topping on her food to make her feel extra special. On top of that, Bruno made sure to update Novaâs Rover report with a detailed summary: two long walks, potty breaks, food and water intake, every detail was covered. To top it all off, at the end of the visit, Nova went home with a goody bag and so much love. It genuinely felt like she had a mini vacation of her own. đ If youâre looking for responsible, loving, and attentive care for your furry friend, I canât recommend Bruno and his fiancĂŠ enough. They treat your pup like family and make the whole experience stress-free and joyful. I will absolutely bring Nova back again, this is the kind of care every fur friend deserves!â

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,749 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Sveadal. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Sveadal commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
