“Our dog had a great time with Jenna and we felt very comfortable leaving our dog in her care while we were in town for a wedding. Jenna sent pictures and put us to ease and we highly recommend her!!”

About: I have been a lifelong dog owner. I enjoy the exercise and would love to walk your dog either around the neighborhood or in a dog park or in one of the numerous open spaces around Aptos. As a retiree, I enjoy the exercise of getting my daily walk with my own dog. I would love to do the same with your dog to keep your dog exercised and to keep up my exercise regimen. At my home, I have a young dog with a fenced in yard on a cul-de-sac neighborhood in Aptos. I live near a big open space and I am also happy to walk your dog in your local neighborhood where your dog will be most comfortable.
“Sandy really loved her time with Denise and Quarky. She tried to run back into Denise's house as we were putting her in the car, so we'll definitely have to book again, the next time we're in Santa Cruz. Denise was easy to communicate with and drop-off/pick-up was a breeze.”

“Jacob and Leilani had a fun day. He’s a sweet, intelligent guy that has great tips and calm energy. I feel that’s exactly what she needed was that perfect match! I was so glad to find Jacob and that he was available within a day. That is a rarity! He had Leilani run as much as she wanted. She’s super happy! Thanks Rover and Jacob! Leilani’s Dad”

My cat passed away last year and I am not yet ready for a permanent addition to my home. I am working full-time, however I have hybrid schedule. In the summer I work one day in the office and the rest from home. During the rest of the year I work three days a week in the office and two days from home, however, I can make flexible arrangements as well, I live in an apartment on a quiet street and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. I have a litter box, toys and scratching post for cats. I have food bowls, soft blankets as well.
About: Safe house, attentive company, and dependable care giver with professional husbandry, pet sitting, behavior, and veterinary experience to tend to your Best Bud when life calls. Confident, compassionate care for senior and special-needs dogs. Plenty of playtime and exercise to tire out high-energy pups. Engaging, creative enrichment to keep every mind happy and active. Professional Ecologist with wildlife handling, husbandry, and behavior experience. 6 years Professional Veterinary Technician experience at local veterinary hospital. 2 years volunteering at local animal shelter. 30-year Pet Owner. Forever Animal Lover! Pet care naturally fits my daily rhythm—I’m home managing kids and household, so feeding, walks, playtime, and affection easily blend into my weekday routine. I'm home most of the day but may step out of the house a few times a day for 20 min-1.5 hours, for school pick ups or a quick work out. Your pup can come along for the walk/ride or stay safely kenneled until my immediate return. I can pick up Dogs in the Live Oak Neighborhood for Doggie Day Care between 8:30-11am. Weekend availability is more variable depending on what the family plans are. Your pup will enjoy a calm, structured, and caring environment within our family home on a quiet, low-traffic street in a popular walking neighborhood. With a secure courtyard and a spacious, private backyard for play, enrichment, and relaxation, your dog will have plenty of safe space to explore. Boarding pups generally have access to the house with lights out from about 9 pm to 6 am, and a potty walks right before bed and first thing in the morning while my coffee brews. Your pup can count on at least an hour of daily exercise—often more—and will be fed according to your established routine, with fresh water always available. When I’m home, pups are free to roam the house and enclosed courtyard, enjoying companionship and comfort alongside me.
“I am so happy Enzo got to spend time with Anusha. He was such a happy tired boy, by the time I picked him up he was ready for a long nap. She did a fantastic job providing me with videos of him playing in her beautiful backyard, snuggling and napping. And really happy she had another dog for Enzo to play with. She walked him and played fetch. I would absolutely give Anusha five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ she was also very friendly and nice. 👍 I am sure Enzo will be happy to be dropped off to be puppy-sat again sometime soon.”

“Our Zoey seems to have had a wonderful day with Elizabeth! Zoey is a senior dog, almost 11, with some medical issues and she can get nervous/confused when left alone. Elizabeth was very gracious and kind to Zoey today, and Zoey seemed happy and tired when we picked her up. I’d strongly recommend Elizabeth, and I hope she wants to watch Zoey again in the future :)”

“Nancy and her family were simply amazing with Toby! She sent pictures regularly and I could see from Toby’s smile how much fun he was having. I felt very comfortable leaving Toby in her care and highly recommend her. Thank you so much Nancy.”

“Jennifer and her family are great! Bennett loves playing their dogs and cuddling on the couch with everyone. Jennifer makes the whole process so easy and is great at communicating needs, updates, and photos. I will absolutely continue taking Bennett to Jennifer for daycare or boarding and would recommend her if you’re looking for somewhere safe and comfortable for your dog to stay.”

“I had a last minute request for my friend who hasn’t used Rover before through my profile since I was watching her two dog babies earlier in the week. My friend had las minute cancellation of her dog sitter for her wedding day that was so stressful for her. Carlie response right away and made my friend and I felt very comfortable right away. I had a last minute request for her to pick up the babies at the wedding venue and she arrived on time and was lovely. I really appreciate you Carlie, you went above and beyond. I know Milo and Mac were in great hand.”
“Nieves was incredibly sweet and took excellent care of my dog. My pup got to play with her kids and they took her on a walk to the beach. I really appreciated the updates and the fantastic pictures she shared throughout the day. I will definitely be using her services again in the future. Highly recommended!”

About: I care for friendly dogs of all sizes and ages. I match your routine so your pup feels secure. Puppies get structure and play with real downtime. Seniors get gentle walks and calm company. I ask about favorite places, games, feeding, and sleep so care feels familiar. You receive photos, texts, and video during every stay. I can care in your home if that is best, or use a secure fenced space if that fits your plan. We start with a meet and greet to confirm a good fit. I am flexible and build the day around your pet. Share your ideal timing and I will match it. I can do early mornings, midday check ins, and evenings. Walks, hikes, playtime, and rest are set to your dog’s energy and the weather. I live in the Santa Cruz mountains, so nature walks are easy when approved. Communication is steady, with updates after each visit or at set times you choose. If your pet needs a different rhythm, we adjust. Friendly behavior is required. I do not accept aggressive dogs. We begin with a meet and greet to confirm fit and discuss needs. I follow your vet and emergency instructions and keep contacts on hand. On walks I use secure leashes and obey local rules. At home I maintain clean spaces, safe gates, and clear boundaries. I have a resident cat, but I can arrange care without any cat contact if you prefer. I can provide care in your home, or make use of a fenced area if that suits your dog. Your preferences guide every decision.
About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, relatives and clients for years. Our house is their pets’ second home when they travel or need us. I can do the same for you, too. During the weekend I am mostly home. Weekdays, I partially work from office and home. There is plenty of time to spend time with your pet or walk them frequently. My husband works from home full time, so there is always one or two adults at home. We live in a single house with a fenced backyard, and there is a big greenbelt right outside our backyard ( see images). Therefore it’s very convenient for frequent walks or play time for your pet. They can also meet other dogs as well. As a family, we are comfortable with being around furry friends. We volunteer with my daughters at a local farm cleaning, caring, patting…. Love it! Our own cat-Zeytin is very calm and friendly. We love to play, walk, cuddle, spend some quiet time with our pet and guest pets and will do the same with yours, too. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet! Nevin
