“Keren is thorough and professional with her service! Upon meeting my lab she took her through simple steps to acclimate and make her feel comfortable in her surroundings! She asked lots of questions and made sure she had all the information needed to make my puppy and me feel welcome and less stress for the first time! When I picked up my puppy she was happy and had bonded with Keren and her children! My pup was tired and slept all the way home and throughout the evening! I would highly recommend Keren and plan on using her service if we go on vacation! I wouldn’t worry about my sweet lab while she is in Keren’s hands!!”

About: I’ve owned seniors dogs, puppies and everything in between. Jack Russell Terrier to English Mastiff. I’ve also owned cats with diabetes that required insulin daily, neurotic quirky animals we’ve had to adapt to, chickens, goats, sheep, bearded dragons and other reptiles. We are an active family. Hilo and Koa go most places with us. However, there are times he must stay home in his covered kennel, fenced yard or inside depending on weather. We enjoy the rhythm of our daily routines just as much as all of our animals. To keep it humming everyone works in concert sharing the load of responsibilities.

When caring for pets in my home, they become part of an active, dog-friendly neighborhood with plenty to explore. I live just 1.5 blocks from the beach and close to great walking spots like Arana Gulch, the park at the end of Schwan Lake, and a nearby dog park only minutes away. Dogs in my care enjoy fresh air, fun walks, and plenty of playtime balanced with calm downtime at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routines so they feel safe and comfortable in familiar surroundings. For cats, I generally prefer in-home care, as I find they are happiest and most relaxed in their own space, and it helps avoid unnecessary stress for them and unexpected scratching for my furniture. No matter the setting, I care for every pet with genuine love, attention, and respect for their individual needs.

At my home, I have a young dog with a fenced in yard on a cul-de-sac neighborhood in Aptos. I live near a big open space and I am also happy to walk your dog in your local neighborhood where your dog will be most comfortable.

I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals and genuinely enjoy their company. Animals tend to feel comfortable with me right away. Friends often joke that I’m a magnet for their pets because I take the time to move at their pace and build trust through calm, attentive presence.
