“Mimi is so wonderful with my dog! He loves her and gets so excited to get to her house in the morning. Thank you Mimi for being so communicative, flexible, and attentive with my pup. We appreciate you!”

“It was such a delight for my chihuahua mix Maui to stay with Dipanjana and her husband and her cute dog Kulfi for the first time! Dipanjana was very proactive and thoughtful in preparing us for our first day care visit, letting Maui get familiarized with her dog and home, ahead of our daycare appointment, which I appreciated immensely since my dog has separation anxiety. She is relaxed and easy with communication and with Maui to make him feel at home like letting him sniff around, play with toys, or sit on her lap. She was also very on top of it with any instructions I had for his stay. Her home and neighborhood are also very clean and comfortable. It was so great to see Maui in pic updates and in good spirits when I picked him up and I look forward to another stay in the future soon!”

“Pup had a great time with Maria and her pups. Maria took great care of our pup during daycare and was very responsive. She was also available for last minute booking, which I greatly appreciate!”

“Thank you so much, Ru, for taking such great care of Mochi! She had an amazing time and it’s clear she received so much love and attention while staying with you. I truly appreciate it—you made me feel completely at ease leaving Mochi in your care. I would absolutely trust you with her again in the future!”

“Michelle was able to accommodate my last minute request and was responsive. My puppy had a great time with her and she was communicative and made me feel comfortable. I will be booking with her again.”

“Jennifer and her Family (human and fur) are a fantastic fit for Cleo. She is a high energy dog and comes home fully exhausted from her playdates with Jennifer, Rosey and their team! My husband told me it was the "perfect fit" for Cleo and us!”
“Ana was very caring to our little dog. She’s very thorough and amazing. So lucky to have her take care of Inday. She sends us pictures and videos to keep us updated. Very much recommended!”

“Nala had such a great time at her first day care experience and I will most definitely be using services through Pissamas again! Nala was a very happy and tired girl!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, relatives and clients for years. Our house is their pets’ second home when they travel or need us. I can do the same for you, too. During the weekend I am mostly home. Weekdays, I partially work from office and home. There is plenty of time to spend time with your pet or walk them frequently. My husband works from home full time, so there is always one or two adults at home. We live in a single house with a fenced backyard, and there is a big greenbelt right outside our backyard ( see images). Therefore it’s very convenient for frequent walks or play time for your pet. They can also meet other dogs as well. As a family, we are comfortable with being around furry friends. We volunteer with my daughters at a local farm cleaning, caring, patting…. Love it! Our own cat-Zeytin is very calm and friendly. We love to play, walk, cuddle, spend some quiet time with our pet and guest pets and will do the same with yours, too. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet! Nevin
“We had a wonderful experience! Rachel took great care of our pet, made sure she got plenty of walks, and sent us daily photo updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We would absolutely book with Rachel again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: Hello! My name is Stephanie! I have owned dogs and pets my whole life and I absolutely love animals. I only care for one guest dog at a time, so your pup gets plenty of personalized attention, love, and care during their stay. I have a 3-year-old Goldendoodle who is super friendly and loves making new friends! I work remotely, so I’m available throughout the week and on weekends for overnight boarding and daycare. I especially love working with recurring families so I can build a relationship with you and your furry friend and help them feel comfortable and at home during every stay. I’m a very outdoorsy person and love taking dogs on adventures, whether that’s going to the park, exploring a dog-friendly trail, or enjoying a nice long walk. We also have a yard for plenty of playtime and outdoor fun! I can’t wait to meet you and give your pup a fun, loving, and personalized home-away-from-home! 🐶💕 I work remote and have a flexible schedule over the week so I will be able to spend all day with your best friend and give them all the love and attention they need while you are away! Your pup will be going on walks throughout the day or a trip to the dog park. I would prefer to watch your pet in my own home but am also open to pet sitting and can make arrangements to visit your pet.
“Our dog is a bit hyper one and Jacqueline made him comfortable in no time. I got updates throughout the days and Ollie seems happy. Will definitely book again for future needs. Highly recommended.”

“Chino had a great time at Aditi's place and didn't take too long to adjust. Aditi kept updating us about Chino with pictures and his status during the day, which helped comfort us that Chino and Aditi's family are getting along well. Would highly recommend Aditi for dog-sitting!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Coyote
Kio had a wonderful first stay with Brian! The drop-off was seamless, and Brian was so welcoming, walking us into his home. He was attentive to my instructions for Kio’s care, patiently listening and providing updates throughout the day. He took Kio for walks as I requested, and he was there during pick up too. We had such a great experience with Brian and are already looking forward to our next visit!

This is actually my first experience using the rover app. As first-time Rover user, of course I was a little nervous, but Nidhi made the experience great. She kept me updated throughout the day, and it was clear my dog, Adam, was well cared for at doggy day care. I felt completely at ease and will definitely rebook.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your South Coyote commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
