“Amanda did a great job watching our pup over the weekend while we were away! She has great communication skills and was so understanding when our dog had an unexpected accident and needed a little extra love and care.”

“Shelby was awesome with my dogs, timely, friendly, and communicative! she left detailed reports with several pictures on each drop in. 10/10 recommend and if we need another sitter, i will definitely use her again :)”

“Julia was such a great dog sitter for our dog while we were away for the weekend! She had great communication skills and was very professional. We hope to use her again in the future!”

“Mars was absolutely fantastic! Our dog had an upset stomach and diarrhea while we were away, resulting in some messy accidents in the house. Mars communicated everything that was going on to us and got everything cleaned up before we got home. She was so adaptable and understanding, making sure we didn’t stress while we were away. Our dog was so well watched over, not to mention her stomach issues were resolved, all thanks to the extra care Mars was sure to give her. 10/10 would recommend her as a sitter and will be using her again in the future!”

About: I have cared for many different animals over the years. This list includes cats, reptiles, fish, small dogs, medium dogs, large dogs, and xl dogs. These animals have been my own as well as friend’s, family’s, and neighbor’s, as they knew I would tend to them with the utmost care. My specialties include working with deaf, blind, anxious and senior animals. My philosophy for caring for any animal is to respect their boundaries and help them feel the most comfort possible. I am currently working at a part time work from home job, meaning I have a very flexible schedule and can come morning to evening to care for you pets. I am available to overnight care any day of the week as well. In my clients home: Check ins would include tending to anything outlined by the pet owner, and being sure to give the animal as much pets and playing as they would like. Overnight care would be the same as far as tending to the outlined instructions. Since it is overnight, if there is a certain nighttime routine it would be accomplished. Before I left I would also make sure I have picked up and cleaned up behind myself (ie. fluffing pillow cushions, throwing away trash, washing dishes, etc) In my home Care would be the same as listed above. I do not have a fenced in yard, however, there is plenty of walking space for them to enjoy being outside. I do have a yard if they just need to potty but not go on a long walk.
“Katy stepped in at the last minute and kept my trip from being ruined. She was incredible with my cats. She was always responsive, caring, and made sure to keep me in the loop on everything. My cats loved her! I highly recommend her.”

About: I am currently a junior at OSU majoring in zoology. I have a cat named Troye whom I have had for 1 year. I grew up with dogs and have experience giving oral medication. I also have 3 years working with large mammals at accredited zoos. I am a full time student at OSU, so I am looking to work locally in Stillwater, but can also serve surrounding areas like Guthrie and north Edmond depending on my schedule. I feel free to reach out and ask any questions! I live in a small apartment, so I am looking for clients interested in walks and drop in visits and housesitting! I will always treat your home and pets with the same respect that you would, and would love to set expectations on both ends before booking!
“If I could give Gabriella 10 stars I would! She is absolutely so amazing with my cats and sent sooooo many pictures and videos of them so I knew they were ok! I cannot emphasize enough how good she did with them!!”

“I booked with Taylor super short notice because of an emergency and she was able to accommodate and fit me into her schedule. Took great care of my dog when I couldn’t be there. Went the extra mile.”

“Olivia did an amazing job taking care of Blu while I was away. She was reliable, communicative, and followed all of his care instructions closely. I really appreciated the updates and knowing Blu was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Olivia and would be happy to book with her again!”

“Another great job done! I'm pretty picky but Rachel is by far the best sitter I've ever had and I'm not a nervous wreck traveling for work anymore. Can't imagine using anyone else at this point”

“Sarah W. was absolutely incredible! Not only did she take fantastic care of our pets, showering them with attention and enssuring all their needs were met, but she even went above and beyond in so many ways. She thoughtfully watered our plants, and we were so impressed when she took the initiative to take out our trash after noticing the neighbors had theirs out. Her level of care, responsibility, and attention to detail truly made us feel at ease while we were away. We highly recommend her and will definitely be booking her again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of all types of animals ranging from hedgehogs to special needs dogs. Never have I found a challenge that I couldn’t overcome I’m a college student with only a couple of classes every day, none of which would interfere with caring for an animal I have been put in charge of I know from personal experiences that keeping your pet in their own environment Is always better than dragging them out somewhere new, whether I’m staying the night, or just popping in a couple times during the day we’ll be best friends by the end of day 1

About: Growing up with pets my whole life, I have gained knowledge to keep pets happy and healthy. I'm familiar with many dog breeds, as well as every size dog. I have administered medications to dogs, at proper doses and times. In addition, I am experienced with dogs all ages, and can assist senior dogs to walk, or attend to any other needs. I'm home for the summer before going to college, and will have plenty of time to play with your pets! I aim to make them feel safe and happy while you're away, and give them all the attention to do so. In your home, I will follow whatever instructions are set for your pets. There will be no other animals, so no worries on other pet interactions, your animals will be safe and cared for in the comfort of their own home.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up on a farm, animals have been something I’ve loved since I was little. My passion was mainly towards cattle, but after I moved to college I began watching my friend’s dogs when they were gone on extracurricular activities and I fell in love again! It made me not miss home so much and I gained a new skill of learning to care for these special animals in my friend’s lives. Before and after class I help walk, feed, and take care of dogs of all sizes and kinds. Ensuring their health and well being is my main concern. I am also very good at overnight stays when owners are away from home and checking on the needs of the pet. I take care of my pets like they are my babies. My cattle have been a shining example of this. After raising my own for over 10 years, being loving and caring to animals comes naturally, so no matter what animal, the kind and appropriate response to the pet will be used because I know, these animals are very close to our hearts. I will cater to each animals need respectfully and responsibly.
“I appreciate Anna Claire taking care of my cat Ellie while I was gone for a few days. Unfortunately Ellie is very timid around new people so she didn’t receive the full experience but she quit hiding after a couple of days so she saw Anna Marie come and go and didn’t run away. Always a good sign. She was well taken care of and I am very grateful.”

About: Hello! I'm a vet student here at OSU and would love the opportunity to take care of your pets! I grew up with many pets and have years of experience working with animals in a veterinary setting. I have 3 cats and a 100lb dog, so I am comfortable working with all kinds of animals! I have had puppies, kittens, and senior pets and am able to match the needs of any animal. I am very comfortable administering medications as well. I'm just a student at the moment, so I am able to work in visits most days! Our schedule is not the same every day, but I can work with you to ensure that your pets receive what they need. I have a passion for pet care and will take care of your animals like they are my own. I am very used to taking care of other's animals from working in veterinary clinics. I can’t say enough good things about the care my babies received from Amanda today while I was at my daughter’s wedding. She kept in close contact with me all throughout the day, providing photos from each visit to my home. I have 3 standard doodles and a calico kitty all of whom love the attention and affection shown to them at each of the three visits to my home today. Her care and attention to them gave me peace of mind so I could fully enjoy my daughter’s special day. Without hesitation i highly recommend her services to anyone needing care for their fur babies. Thanks Amanda!

Marissa is amazing! My dogs love her. ❤️ My dog Gabie is a tough sell on new people but she instantly took to Marissa I couldn’t believe it. She plays with the dogs and sends me pictures. So fun! She is great. I’m very picky about who I let watch my dogs but I would recommend Marissa to anyone. Especially if you have an anxious senior dog like my Gabie.
Meadow was lovely. She was so patient with us and the dogs. All three of the dogs really liked her. She asked all the right questions to make sure she knew how to keep the dogs in routine while she's caring for them. We look forward to working with her again soon!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
