“Anna Claire was great! She house-sat with our dog while we were on vacation. She spent a lot of time with our dog, sent us great photo updates, and proactively communicated anything she had a question about. She clearly had our dogs best interest in mind!”

“Athena was absolutely amazing with our Yorkie, Ellie. Timely, long walks with her and sent us tons of picture with regular updates. She spent 3 overnights with her, and left our house cleaner than when we left!”

“Mars was amazing with my three dogs and my cat for a recent weekend trip I took out of town. She came out to my house and met me and my animals prior to my trip. She stayed at my house and took great care of my babies. She updated me with pictures and I felt fully at ease with her. I highly recommend Mars for any pet sitting needs you may have!!”

About: I have experience caring for all types of animals, including dogs, cats, rodents, fish, and exotics. I am a Certified Veterinary Assistant with 250+ clinical experience hours, pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine. I will be interning at a vet clinic this summer, but I will have a fairly flexible schedule for care for pets in their own home. Pet care for pets of my own is a part of my weekly routine, including bathing, cleaning, and feeding. I hope to make client pet care a part of my weekly routine as well. I have experience in all aspects of pet care, to ensure a safe and healthy environment to all involved. Cleaning, feeding, bathing, and medication administrationh are just a few of the ways I can cater to you and your pets needs. Creating and maintaining an environment perfect for your pet is my top priority.
“Lindsey was wonderful with our 2 cats. They are both naturally friendly and a bit demanding when it is feeding time. Lindsey was able to allow them time to play outside and keep them company every night. She has been a great sitter!”

“Gleris was amazing as our in home pet sitter for our two dogs! She sent daily photos and kept in touch with us during the entire time we were gone. Both of our dogs were well cared for while we were gone. Gleris is very trust worthy, and we felt very comfortable leaving our dogs in her care for 5 nights.”

About: I am currently a junior at OSU majoring in zoology. I have a cat named Troye whom I have had for 1 year. I grew up with dogs and have experience giving oral medication. I also have 3 years working with large mammals at accredited zoos. I am a full time student at OSU, so I am looking to work locally in Stillwater. I currently do not have another job so most days should be open. I live in a small apartment, so I am looking for clients interested in walks and drop in visits, but I am also open to house sitting.

About: I’ve had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. Before I was able to have a pet of my own, I cared for stray animals by making sure they had food, fresh water, and plenty of love. Now, as a dedicated dog owner and pre-vet student, I’ve gained experience caring for my dog with heartworms and allergies, including administering medication, monitoring her health, and giving medicated baths. I treat every pet with patience, compassion, and the same level of care I give my own I’m currently a full time student and working a part time job at the OSU vet hospital. When school begins in august I will be available after 5pm and all day available on the weekends. I might have the opportunity to do drop ins during the weekdays depending on classes. I will treat their/your home with respect and kindness. In their eyes I am a guest so I want to make sure they are comfortable as possible. If that means laying on the floor giving cuddles is the best for them that’s a great idea! Or if they just like to be in someone’s presence I can definitely bring a book and hang out with them.

“She’s both perfect. She’s so sweet. She works so hard sending updates. I don’t know if there’s a word to explain how wonderful she is and she’s going places and I’m so proud of her and so is God.”

About: I’m a vet tech, I work with all types of animals, I can do toe nail trims, give baths, and give medications. I start vet school in the fall and am looking for extra cash I work at a vet clinic until end of July before vet school. I can do walks/house/pet sitting working around that schedule for now. For fall I would not be able to be house/pet sitting all day, but I can do before and after classes. Whatever the client needs is what I’ll do. Whether it is medications, baths, toe nail trims. Whatever routine your pet is used to, I will do in place of your absence!
About: I have been pet and house sitting for friends and family since I was 16 years old. I love animals (sometimes more than people). I can take care of all different types of needs that your beloved pet might have. Long walks, baths, morning and night time routines, special diets, etc. I have even taken care of a dog with diabetes before. I do not have much experience with other animals but I am a quick learner. I would love to take care of any pet you may have. I am a full time student at Oklahoma State University and I have a part time job that I work as well. I wouldn’t be gone from my house or yours any longer than the hours that would consist in a normal work or school day. I’m not normally gone that long but that is the longest I would be gone in a day. I have a pretty open schedule for the most part because a few of my classes are online. I don’t have any pets at home anymore. Sadly my childhood dogs passed away this summer and while I am not ready to get my own dog yet I still love taking care of animals! I kept a lot of their old things so I have plenty of toys, dog beds, and blankets that your animal would be welcome to use. I also have a dog door and fenced backyard that is available for use as well. The dog door can be shut or left open depending on what works best for your animal.
About: I have owned pets all my life from dogs and cats to ferrets and lizards. I am currently studying animal science in pursue of a degree in veterinary medicine. I have trained puppies and volunteered at shelters so I have been exposed to lots of different dog breeds. Last summer I worked side by side with a Vet and gained lots of experience with many animals. My schedule is very flexible considering I am a college student and only work when I am home on breaks. I am working at a vet clinic and getting experience in that field. I am also available on weekends and capable of working with you to put the needs of your pet first. My dogs have a fenced in yard so during this time of year they spend a lot of time outside and playing fetch. We have crate trained them as puppies so I can accommodate to any means necessary.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Stillwater
We booked Chloe to watch our dog Winston our second time. She did amazing! She stayed in our home and make Winston feel comfortable and kept our house clean. She went above and beyond and I would definitely recommend booking her if you want to make sure your pet is safe and happy!

We couldn't have asked for a better house and pet sitter! All of our pets are seniors, and each one has medications or special care needs. Leaving them is never easy, but she gave us complete peace of mind. She followed every instruction we left, from medications and feeding schedules to taking care of our home and even setting the alarms exactly as requested. What stood out the most was how much she genuinely cared for our animals. She didn't just meet their needs—she loved on them and treated them like they were her own. Coming home to happy, well-cared-for pets meant the world to us. We are incredibly grateful for the care and attention she gave both our home and our furry family members. We will absolutely be using her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and compassionate!

Anna Claire took excellent care of our dog while we traveled. She stayed at our house overnights to make sure our dog was comfortable and less anxious. Our dog has a severe protein allergy so Anna Claire had to be careful about that. Having a vet student made us very comfortable knowing she could handle the situation if our dog had any issues. Anna Claire was easy and quick to communicate with. Highly recommend Anna Claire.

Vanessa has now stayed with our poms, Nox and Luna, three times. We continue to book with Vanessa because she is responsible and trustworthy, punctual, and communicates well. We know the pups are in capable hands. This time, Vanessa also had to coordinate with a second sitter to switch off midway through our absence. All of that was handled without an issue. We would definitely book with Vanessa again!

I’m I am incredibly thankful that Linda was able to watch our furry baby! She was available last minute as our plans changed unexpectedly. She was caring, proactive, and asked great questions to make sure she knew how to care first our furry baby. We did in-home sitting so Linda was excellent in maintaining our baby’s routine. Baby Angel got lots of love and belly rubs. Thank you, Linda!

Gleris was amazing as our in home pet sitter for our two dogs! She sent daily photos and kept in touch with us during the entire time we were gone. Both of our dogs were well cared for while we were gone. Gleris is very trust worthy, and we felt very comfortable leaving our dogs in her care for 5 nights.

Abbey was the most amazing dog sitter! She took care of our new 2 pound Pomeranian… and our 100 pound German Shepherd while we went to a concert. We had only had the puppy for three days and I was a nervous wreck! Abbey arrived early and sent tons of updates and pictures. She is great with large dogs and noticed our German Shepherd was getting annoyed with the puppy- and put him in another room for a bit! I’m so thankful for her intuition and caring nature! If you need help with your furry friends… I would recommend her a million percent! Stop researching other Rover resumes and go with Abbey! Your babies will be in the best hands ever!

I'm always nervous about leaving my pup, Bodie, with a new sitter, especially for an extended period of time. Kaylee's positive attitude, expertise, and evident care for the well being of my dog made me feel comfortable leaving for 10 days. My dog sometimes has big feelings, and often needs emotional support or guidance from his human. Kaylee took the time to visit with us twice before staying over spring break, to ensure that she knew all about how to handle Bodie's needs and preferences. Kaylee sent very detailed and honest updates, with pictures that showed Bodie having such a good time! As soon as I got those first pictures of Bodie playing and snuggling, my mind was at ease that he was having a great time with Kaylee. I would definitely recommend Kaylee to my friends and their pups:)

Sierra was amazing while watching Okie! She responded promptly, carefully followed Okie’s transition to adult food while keeping an eye on her symptoms, and took her on plenty of walks. She was very respectful of our home and communicated multiple times a day, sending lots of photos, which we really appreciated. She even offered to take Okie to her grooming appointment when it got rescheduled while we were away, which meant so much to us. It truly felt like she cared for Okie as if she were her own. She saved us from having to fly with our 10-month-old puppy, we couldn’t be more grateful!

Great experience. Adelaide stayed in our home and cared for our three beagles while we were out of town for a week. Beagles were happy and healthy when we returned and our home was just the way we left it. Any time we reached out she responded in a timely manner. Would absolutely re-book!

Mars is so nice. She is very open to discuss options on taking care of my dog and arranging to drop and picking up the dog. She post pictures and videos every other day. She takes Winnie to dog park who has a lot of fun. She keeps a good communications with me all the time. We have to change the pick up date due to a delay of flight. She did not complain at all and willing to accomodate our travel. I am so thankful to her. Recommend.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Stillwater walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Stillwater maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stillwater choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
