“Amanda is great, this was our first Rover service (in a new home), and she handled every thing perfectly. She reacted to each animals personality and “vibe” - and the photos show that everyone was fine. We are very happy and relieved!! Thank you Amanda!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter to check in on our dogs. She was incredibly reliable, communicative, and so sweet with them. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were being well cared for and getting plenty of love and attention while we were away. She sent updates and made everything so easy and stress-free. Our dogs were happy and comfortable, which says it all! We will absolutely be using her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets!”

“If I could give Gabriella 10 stars I would! She is absolutely so amazing with my cats and sent sooooo many pictures and videos of them so I knew they were ok! I cannot emphasize enough how good she did with them!!”

“I booked with Taylor super short notice because of an emergency and she was able to accommodate and fit me into her schedule. Took great care of my dog when I couldn’t be there. Went the extra mile.”

About: I am currently a junior at OSU majoring in zoology. I have a cat named Troye whom I have had for 1 year. I grew up with dogs and have experience giving oral medication. I also have 3 years working with large mammals at accredited zoos. I am a full time student at OSU, so I am looking to work locally in Stillwater, but can also serve surrounding areas like Guthrie and north Edmond depending on my schedule. I feel free to reach out and ask any questions! I live in a small apartment, so I am looking for clients interested in walks and drop in visits and housesitting! I will always treat your home and pets with the same respect that you would, and would love to set expectations on both ends before booking!
“This was my first time leaving the boys with someone other than my daughter and Mars was completely amazing. From the meet and greet to the last day she kept me in the loop. The boys were happy and in good hands with her.”

“Super great with Leo! Went above and beyond to make sure my nervous little cat was taken care of while I was gone and even watered a few plants for me I had forgotten about. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter”

About: I have had dogs since I was born, and a cat for about 6 years. I’ve dog/ cat sat many times for friends and family, and have nannyed kids with pets as well. I have two senior dogs currently, and also bottle fed and litter trained my cat! I’m currently a student in college, so I’m free most afternoons and evenings! Typically before 9/10, and then around 2-night time. Most weekends are flexible aswell. I have two senior dogs at home, one of which is crated at night. I’m well versed on puppies/kittens, as well as older fur babies! I can bottle feed, help with potty training, and take care of older pets with meds, getting up stairs, etc.!!
About: I am a student at the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine, and have over four years of experience working at veterinary clinics. I am also feel free handling trained. I am a full-time student working to get my degree in veterinary medicine. My schedule allows me to be available frequently during the days. Especially early mornings, lunch, late afternoons, and evenings. My weekends are also very open. I would care for someone’s pet like I would my own! My main priority would be their safety, which I would insure by keeping eyes on them at all times and regularly checking their condition. I would also keep them happy and occupied however they enjoy best!
“Bridget was awesome! Very attentive and gave detailed info about how Ellie was doing while we were away on a trip. We will be rebooking with her - definitely recommend.”

“Sarah W. was absolutely incredible! Not only did she take fantastic care of our pets, showering them with attention and enssuring all their needs were met, but she even went above and beyond in so many ways. She thoughtfully watered our plants, and we were so impressed when she took the initiative to take out our trash after noticing the neighbors had theirs out. Her level of care, responsibility, and attention to detail truly made us feel at ease while we were away. We highly recommend her and will definitely be booking her again!”

“Rachel was a great caregiver to our 3 cats! She was responsive and attentive, as well as patient with giving two of them medication. We loved getting pictures and video updates of our buddies, she took excellent care of them! We’ll for sure ask her to take care of them again in the future.”

“Olivia did an amazing job taking care of Blu while I was away. She was reliable, communicative, and followed all of his care instructions closely. I really appreciated the updates and knowing Blu was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Olivia and would be happy to book with her again!”

“I appreciate Anna Claire taking care of my cat Ellie while I was gone for a few days. Unfortunately Ellie is very timid around new people so she didn’t receive the full experience but she quit hiding after a couple of days so she saw Anna Marie come and go and didn’t run away. Always a good sign. She was well taken care of and I am very grateful.”

About: I grew up around animals, my mom owns an equestrian center so I’ve grown up around large animals, I’ve dog sat through highschool and have had all sizes of dogs my whole life from 20lbs-105lbs and I raised swine through highschool. So I understand the needs of animals and the responsibility it takes to be a sitter. Recent college graduate with an animal science degree. I am pretty flexible at the moment I have a pretty open schedule and am super willing to move things around. I want pets to feel safe when their owners are gone so if that means spending more time at the house during the day I can fill the need of this. Making sure the animals schedule doesn't change from their original schedule, so there is no additional stress on the animal.

I can’t say enough good things about the care my babies received from Amanda today while I was at my daughter’s wedding. She kept in close contact with me all throughout the day, providing photos from each visit to my home. I have 3 standard doodles and a calico kitty all of whom love the attention and affection shown to them at each of the three visits to my home today. Her care and attention to them gave me peace of mind so I could fully enjoy my daughter’s special day. Without hesitation i highly recommend her services to anyone needing care for their fur babies. Thanks Amanda!

Lilly was great! I hated leaving my kitties, but they were in good hands. Lilly was very communicative and sent pictures from each visit, which made my time away much easier. She took excellent care of both kitties! I would def recommend Lilly and will absolutely book her again.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
