About: I have spent my entire life around animals of all sizes, and have yet to meet one I didn’t love! I have a huge place in my heart for all animals, and have had experience house sitting and dog walking for others. Additionally, I spent a few months helping care for and train the puppies and dogs at the Trail of Hope Animal Rescue, so I’ve worked with dogs of all ages and sizes. I currently have two dogs of my own, and I fully understand the need for an extra helping hand when it comes to taking care of fur babies! I am currently a graduate student at Oklahoma State, and I have a very flexible schedule. My classes and meetings are typically in the mornings, so I am free most weekday afternoons/evenings and on the weekends! I am also available most weekday mornings during the summer months. I have two dogs of my own in my home, and they both love to play with other dogs! Generally, I would keep boarded dogs at my home and in my yard, but I also have a hard bottom backseat extender for dogs if you’d want me to take your dog(s) to a park!
“Meadow was lovely. She was so patient with us and the dogs. All three of the dogs really liked her. She asked all the right questions to make sure she knew how to keep the dogs in routine while she's caring for them. We look forward to working with her again soon!”

“Sarah took such good care of my doggos! She left plenty of feedback and sent pictures through the visits! ❤️ She even handled my timid dog very well. I am so glad they were in good hands while I was away!!”

“She was very patient during our meet and greet. She was also able to give my one kitty her inhaler. Will definitely be trusting her to care for my kitty cats again in the future!”

“Jillian was very pleasant and conscientious. You can tell she loves animals. She contacted and sent pictures every day. I did not worry about my dogs with Jillian taking care of them. She did a great job.”

About: I’ve cared for animals most of my life, including my own dogs, bunny, and fish, as well as others’ cats and dogs. I’m patient, reliable, and comfortable supporting pets of all ages, from playful puppies to more sensitive seniors. I focus on creating a calm, loving environment where every pet feels safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. As a full-time school psychology graduate student at OSU, I intentionally and consistently incorporate pet care into my weekly routine. My class and assistantship schedule gives me predictable blocks of time throughout the day, which allows me to provide regular check‑ins, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I balance my academic work with pet care by planning, maintaining a structured routine, and ensuring every pet receives focused attention and a calm, reliable presence. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in every home I care for. I follow each pet’s routine closely, keep their space clean, and make sure they always have fresh water, a tidy litter box, and a comfortable place to relax. I pay attention to body language, comfort levels, and any changes in behavior so pets feel understood and secure. Whether I’m in my home or a client’s, I create a peaceful, predictable environment where pets can feel safe, cared for, and genuinely at ease.
“I booked with Taylor super short notice because of an emergency and she was able to accommodate and fit me into her schedule. Took great care of my dog when I couldn’t be there. Went the extra mile.”

“Super great with Leo! Went above and beyond to make sure my nervous little cat was taken care of while I was gone and even watered a few plants for me I had forgotten about. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter”

About: I am a huge animal lover and have grown up around them my entire life. At present, I am taking care of five dogs at home (basically a mini-shelter!) and am looking to add a sixth. My beagle mix rescue that I’ve most recently adopted and trained goes on daily adventures with me, whether it be on long hikes outdoors or on brief excursions to Starbucks for a pup cup. Whenever my friends or family need someone to dog-sit, I am often their first choice, and I have taken care of a wide variety of breeds, ranging in size from the small maltese to the large malinois. When it comes to taking care of your pets, a top priority for me is safety: I will make sure that they are properly leashed when walking and are well taken care of at home. I have completed multiple training courses and am familiar with how to handle reactivity, aggression, anxiety, and stubbornness in dogs as well as cats. Having recently graduated college, I have plenty of time available for dog walking and pet-sitting. I look forward to helping, so please feel free to reach out! I care for pets with a realistic mindset. It takes a while for them to create a bond with a new person. I will be calm, give them treats and show them affection to create a bond with your best friend.
About: I have been around dogs my whole life !! I currently have two dogs of my own as well. I do some dog training. Sit, stay, lay, shake, crate training, and potty training. I work full time however I get two breaks and only work Monday-Thursday. I work from 8-5 and take a break at 1130 and 2:30. I live in a house and have a closed in fence. I take my dogs for a walk or run every day and will play fetch or tug of war with them in the yard. The dogs get lots of outside time and my girls love having new friends to play with! A kennel is not required but I do ask if you have one to bring it. Since we have our own dogs and also board more than one dog we put them up in the kennel when going to sleep at night.
“They say dogs are great judges of character. My dogs instantly loved Lindsey! As soon as I saw her with them, I knew our dogs would be okay without us. She was accommodating, easy to work with, and easy to trust. She sent us lots of pictures from her visits (good ones too). I would not hesitate to hire her again!”

About: I have worked with pets of all types for over a decade. I’ve walked, bathed, and trained dogs for people all across the board. I’ve worked with animals with different needs, ages, and personalities and loved them all! I am really good with senior animals and have lots of experience in that area! I’m currently a full time student with a very flexible schedule! I’m free to hang out with your pets weekends, and weekdays after 4. I have a later start in the mornings so I’m free for early walks or whatever you need! I am very clean and organized and will leave your home the same or better than I found it! I am also very adaptable and can work in any space with any pet!
“Micaela was absolutely fantastic. She was great with our cats while we were gone. She sent thorough notes with each visit along with pictures. Will definitely rebook with her.”

About: I have grown up around both cats and dogs of all sizes and personalities. I was raised with German Shepherds, so I am very familiar with working and protection breeds and understand how to read their body language, respect boundaries, and build trust properly. I volunteer at the humane society where I work with a wide variety of dogs and cats, including high-energy, shy, and more reactive animals. This has helped me learn how to adapt to each pet’s needs and personality. I have experience caring for large dogs (100+ lbs), small breeds, puppies, senior dogs, and cats. I have also fostered a pit bull, which gave me experience managing higher-energy dogs that need structure, patience, and mental stimulation. I am comfortable administering medications, caring for pets after procedures like spay/neuter, and handling both playful and more reserved animals. I pay close attention to behavior, routines, and small details to make sure pets stay happy, safe, and comfortable. I am currently a full time student but my schedule is flexible and open. I can check mornings briefly but afternoons and evenings I can spend more time! I have both cats and a dog, so I’m very used to maintaining a consistent routine and making sure pets get the attention, care, and structure they need. I follow feeding schedules closely and always make time for play, exercise, and affection. I understand that pets can feel stressed when their owners are away, so I focus on creating a calm, comfortable environment and keeping their routine as normal as possible. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe and cared for at all times.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
