I've raised and cared for multiple breeds of dogs (Golden Retriever, lab, Boxer, mixed breeds, Boston Terrier, etc.) and loved every single one. I have experience caring for dogs with special needs, such as separation anxiety, escape artists, aggression, leash-tugging, etc. From my experience, I'm a firm believer that dogs shadow their owners, and will happily be obedient if it means they can have their owners' affection and approval. Any dog can can learn new skills with enough support and encouragement!
