I am currently a college student home for the summer and looking for fun ways to make extra money while enjoying my time off. I work part-time and love staying busy, so pet sitting is the perfect way for me to earn a little extra income while doing something I genuinely enjoy. Getting to work at a dog wash and grooming place was a good experience and I loved getting to spending time with dogs. Spending time with animals brings me so much joy, and I love giving pets the care, attention, and companionship they deserve while their owners are away.

It’s important for me to know each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs ahead of time so I can make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible. I like to know their feeding schedule, bathroom routine, favorite activities, medications, allergies, energy level, and how they interact with other people or animals. I also appreciate knowing any behaviors to watch for, things that make them anxious, and emergency contact or vet information. The more I know beforehand, the better care and attention I can give your pets while you’re away!
A typical day
I love keeping pets active, comfortable, and entertained based on their personality and energy level! For dogs, I enjoy going on walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, outdoor playtime, and giving them lots of attention and cuddles. For cats, I like playing with toys, laser pointers, brushing them, and giving them calm companionship and affection. I also make sure pets stick to their normal routines so they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Since I’m home for the summer from college, I have a flexible schedule and love spending quality time with animals rather than just “checking in” on them.

I have been pet sitting for over 5 years and have had the opportunity to care for pets from so many amazing families, many of whom continue to rebook with me. I have 4 dogs of my own, so spending time with and caring for dogs is something I truly love. I also worked at a dog wash and grooming place for a year and loved working with dogs.
