“Mary Ann did a great job for our first time with Rover. She was reliable, timely and did a great job with our cat, Pepe. Loved the pictures, the updates and overall, she filled all of our needs and expectations. So glad we found her!”

About: Moved from California to Illinois recently! I have 3 dogs back home (my parent’s dogs technically but still my babies 🤣). And with me right now I have 6 cats! (2 are mine, 3 are my boyfriends’, & new kitten addition we rescued!) Back in California, I had one person give me a chance on Rover before I moved & that was so much fun! He was a hyperactive and reactive dog, but was able to take him on a beach trip and go out to lunch in public with zero problem behaviors occurring! Besides Rover, I had many experiences caring for my dogs & cats, my family’s pets, and friends furrbabies! I use to take dogs out to beaches, hikes, and on chill days, just walks around the neighborhoods. I have experience with fear based dogs, hyperactive dogs, puppies, & elders! Currently, I’ve been going to shelters every weekend, spoiling the animals there and learning more about caring for disabled pets! Looking forward to care for lots of furrbabies! *Bonus* I have some experience in farm animal care! I’ve cared for horses, goats, ducks, chickens, and geese. I’m very flexible and open to different needs. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Weekdays I’m unavailable 8:30am to 1:30pm due to work. I’m very flexible on weekdays, as long as it doesn’t interfere with my work schedule. Weekends I’m free all day long! I share the care of my cats at home with my partner, which allows me to be more flexible with caregiving other pets. I like to either have a fun outing or a chill day at home. I love to go on long walks and trials with dogs! For animals that need to be let out for potty, I will take them out as many times requested by parents. I very much love to spoil pets with play, affection, treats, & toys. Any accommodations please reach out (allergies, diet restrictions, behavioral issues, etc.) I’m very flexible & can adjust to any physical and behavioral needs.

“Neva was absolutely fantastic with our puppy. From the start, we felt completely comfortable leaving her in Neva’s care. She was prompt, communicative, and clearly treated our pup like her own. We will most definitely be using Neva again and highly recommend her!”

About: I am a dog and cat lover and always happy to take the best care of your beloved family member. I originally came from Wag! a different dog walking/sitting app with over 800 completed services with a 5 star rating. I trained puppies, taken care of senior dogs, administered insulin, and love caring for dogs of all sizes. I have done dog walking/ pet sitting full time for a few years and currently looking for new clients as I moved to this area from Nashville TN. I prefer sitting in my clients home, it makes me comfortable knowing the pet is in their space and have their familiar surroundings. And following the routine the owners have given me to ensure their pets are happy, healthy, and safe while they are away!
“Was an awesome sitter! Kept me constantly up to date especially since one of my dogs gets really bad anxiety when we leave. He took great care of them and they didn't seem as anxious as they usually are.”

“Abby is absolutely great! She was so patient with our boys (our year old Belgian Malinois is a ball of furry energy) and our 9 year old cattle dog mix is blind. I've never had anyone come in and take care of my babies, but I trust Abby 100%. Thank you Abby and Rover for providing this service. She'll be the first person I call next time we go out of town!”
“She was an amazing sitter, met all demands and even went beyond. She's very consistently a great person overall, and I really appreciate her. I will definitely rebook if needed.”

“Taylor is an excellent furbaby caretaker! We're so lucky to have had the opportunity to book with her on a number of occasions. Her notes are thorough and photos show how much care and attention she puts into her visits. Thanks, Taylor! I look forward to booking with you in the future!”

“Sarah is such a sweet person. She did a great job! She stayed in constant communication with us. Our dogs struggle with fireworks anxiety and she was sure to give them extra cuddles. Will definitely book her again!”

“We had a very good experience with Kiri. She kept us updated with detailed notes and photos of our pets when she visited and also brought our mail in. I would happily recommend her services.”

“Shadia maintained timely communication with us which took away a lot of the anxiety of leaving our pets for a week. He took our dog out for a walk twice a day even though that was not a part of our request and provided additional help when we needed it. He also offered to help with other tasks even though we did not ask for it. I am happy we got we got the opportunity to work together and I would gladly work with him again.”

About: I love playing with and paying attention to pups. Love to say hi to them every time we cross paths on the elevator in my building! Cats have the warmest place in my heart <3 As a medical student and proud rescue cat mom, pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I start each morning sitting with Ashley while she enjoys her wet food, and throughout the day, she keeps me company—often curled up beside me while I study. We’ve built a calm, comforting rhythm together that brings joy to us both. Caring for her during past UTIs taught me how to gently give meds, but mostly, it's our daily cuddles and quiet companionship that define my approach to pet care: consistent, loving, and attentive. For pups, as the weather gets nicer, taking them for walks is a great study break as well! Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I focus on creating a calm, safe environment that feels familiar and comforting. I follow feeding and care routines closely, give lots of affection, and respect each pet’s unique needs and personality. At home, I am in a 1 bedroom apartment, and pets enjoy a peaceful space and my full attention, especially during cuddle breaks while I study. In clients' homes, I’m respectful, clean, and reliable—keeping pets on their usual schedule, providing regular updates, and always ensuring emergency contact and veterinary information is readily available, so owners can feel at ease.

About: I’ve always grown up around pets whether they were my families, my own, and all the family friends. Animals have always had a special place in my heart. Not saying I’m a professional trainer but I have taught my cat a trick or two:) if you have any specific questions about the care I have done I would love to answer EVERYTHING:) I work as a coach and recruiter so in-between office hours and practices I go home and make sure I give my cat all the love’ns and clean up his litter-box and take him on occasional walk on his harness. Make sure their water is fresh, make sure their feeding schedule is up to date, no messes in the house, hang out with cuddles and enrichment time, and make sure they feel loved:)
“Nakee was AWESOME! My dog is 13yrs old and requires extra attention. He bonded with Nakee immediately during our meet and greet. She was very professional and attentive to all our needs. Will definitely use her again!🤗”

“This was the first time I used Gina, as my regular Rover was unavailable. She came over for a meet and great beforehand and instantly hit it off with my GSD. I would recommend her to anyone and will use her again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Springfield with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
