“Sarah and Todd were quick to respond to our request and so accommodating for our dog during our quick overnight trip to Springfield. They were so communicative and went above and beyond! It was a convenient option that gave us peace of mind and flexibility with limited pet friendly lodging options!”

“I just like to say Kimberly was outstanding. This was our first time leaving our boys with a sitter and this was for two days. Immediately after choosing her she was very responsive and helped to ease the worrying especially for my lady. We made it to Kimberly and dropped off our boys and it was very comforting. Kimberly communicated and provided a pics the two whole days our boys was with her. I highly recommend her if you’re in the Springfield, Illinois area. We definitely use her again when we have come to Springfield for business and have to bring our boys.”

“Our dogs were in great hands while we were gone. She sent pics and updates which we enjoyed. The dogs looked very content in their new surroundings. I will definitely call Pam whenever we need a pet sitter. She was excellent and the dogs were happy to see us. Thank you so much Pam and family!”

“Sarah is incredible! We were able to enjoy our vacation worry free, knowing our puppers are in good hands! She went above and beyond to make their stay great. I’m almost worried they won’t want to come home with us haha. Very thankful for the frequent updates and pictures as well, we will not book with anyone else!!”

“Karen was great! Maggie had a great stay and seemed comfortable from the time we dropped her off. We really appreciated all the updates Karen provided! I'd recommend Karen in a heartbeat.”

“Kari is so wonderful with the animals she cares for. I could tell by the way my dog Ruger acted as soon as he entered her home. Usually when I pick him up, he let's me know that he's not pleased I was gone, but after a stay with Kari he is totally calm and happy. Thanks for taking such great care of my boy!”

About: I have experience fostering dogs with the animal shelter APL and have a small toy poodle of my own. He is very friendly with other dogs and loves to play. I love dogs and would love to have the opportunity to watch dogs and take care of others! I am open to watching dogs for a couple hours, a day, or even a couple of days if that is what is needed. My house has a small backyard and I am also available to do drop ins at the dogs own home. The area is very quiet and would be comfortable for another dog to be in. If I am caring for someone else's dog I plan on being home for the time I'm watching the dog so that it will be well taken care of. I’m currently only working part time so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals. I am available early mornings or early afternoons to give your animal a break during the workday! I am also available any time on the weekends. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs to keep your dog company. I have a toy poodle and a golden retriever. I can also do drops in to walk or play with your dog as well!

About: I have at somepoint had 100+ pets with my ex that we took care of together. I have adopted "agressive" pets only for them just needing a loving home to feel comfortable. We also fostered a bunch of pets to help when APL was struggling for space. I do have a very busy schedule myself. However I make time to spend with our pets. We make homemade food for them and have a bunch of toys for them to play with. My partner is a stay at home spouse so no one gets into too much mischief. I view pets as family members and they have the comfort of laying on the couch and bed with us. We have a decently big yard with a fence for them to run about and have outside time.
“It was comforting to know that Pepper was in a comfortable space, room to run outside, with plenty of people and pup friends to keep him occupied while we were on vacation! Kyle and Lyndzie sent lots of updates throughout the week too! Gave us peace of mind and we would definitely book with them again!”

“This was our first time using the Rover app, so it was our first time with Megan. After meeting her, I had such peace. The dogs had fun at her house, and I love the updates she gave me! We will definitely be using her again!”

The median cost per night for dog boarding in Springfield is $35
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Springfield
We are new to Springfield and met Taylor when searching for extended stay for our (F) Lab. We are very grateful for finding her and her dog. Taylor was very receptive and caring, provided a safe and clean home for our pup, Maggie. She is an experienced dog-mom that is very good with communications. We will use her again.

You could not ask for a better experience than having Sarah care for your animal while you're out of town. Period. Not only does she send photos daily as most might, but the pictures she sent us were among the very best we have of our dog! Many were entirely suitable to have prints made from them. Sarah loves dogs and from her personal engagement with them on walks, etc. you never have to worry about yours. Our only mild concern was that our old girl Mabel wouldn't want to come home after her 8-day vacation at Club Sarah! Many thanks, Sarah. We’ll surely look to you next time we have to leave town. George and Gail

Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
