About: I’ve always been an animal lover since I was little. Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. I was also an Animal Keeper for about a year with native Illinois Wildlife (including black bears, cougars & bobcats). I am currently transitioning to being a Veterinary Assistant so I am gaining new skills weekly! Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too. Your home is their home. I will cater to your pet based on what they like or need. If they just need someone to keep them company I’m there. I will treat your space with respect and follow any instructions given. My pets are family and are treated as such so the same would go for your kiddos.

About: I had dogs my whole childhood, and have had cats in adulthood. As a kid, I loved caring for and training our dogs, both basic commands and some fun tricks! I was responsible for letting them out when they needed, feeding them on time, playing with them, and taking them on walks. I wanted to be a dog trainer for years, and had a training manual I would study to know all the right actions and reactions for different situations and behaviors. I can't say I remember many specifics for training, but I definitely have plenty experience in basic care and play. As of right now, I am available all day on Sundays, and until 2pm all other days— perfect for midday walks or drop-ins while you're at work! I have fostered many puppies and adult dogs in my home through a dog rescue in California for 5 years, and continue to do the online work for that rescue from my home in Illinois.
