About: Experience with senior dogs that need more special attention due to their diet and medication needs giving them plenty of exercise or playing going on walks and making sure that they get all the attention and love that fur babies need. Currently work part time and available after 2 PM on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Fully available Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. I will have plenty of time to take care of all pets needs whether it’s check-ins, housesitting, walks, feeding and even baths if needed. This all depends on clients wishes and what the fur babies need will be based off of clients comfortability with me being in their own space. My general rule is making sure I leave space(s) clean and respecting others homes and boundaries due to me being a guest and being respectful of property and the safety of pets and fur babies.

“Karen is awesome!!!! She arrives early, stays the entire time! That is a huge plus +++ for me. My pups love her! She takes care of them & my home... what more could I ask for.”

“I hired Elsie for two drop-ins; one late at night and one in the morning, so that my partner and I could enjoy a night out without having to stress about our cats. She put both us and our cats at ease, following our instructions and giving our cats the attention they needed. We would definitely book her again when the need arises.”

“This is the 2nd time we’ve used Catherine to watch our cat Tucker. She is literally the best you could ask for! Keeps us very updated and is so reliable. Makes going away a breeze because we know he is in good hands!”
“Lordyn was absolutely fantastic, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! She kept me updated with messages and photos after every visit, which gave me real peace of mind knowing Aspen was happy, well cared for, and getting plenty of attention. Her communication was excellent, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about Aspen's well-being rather than just checking a box. It's never easy leaving your dog, but Lordyn made the entire process stress-free. I came home to a happy, healthy pup, and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again. I highly recommend Lordyn to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter!”

“Natalie was able to accommodate on short notice. Summer is brutal so she is able to use her best judgment to take our dogs out so they could do their business but brought them inside to cool down and played with them for the remainder of their visit time!”

“Kim was great. She followed everything we asked, was very sweet to our two cats, played with them, and gave them plenty of love and attention. The updates and photos she sent were excellent, and it was clear they were comfortable with her. Would definitely book with her again.”

“I had an unexpected trip out of town and Jennifer was able to take care of my cat with no notice. And she was able to extend my care with the trip took longer than expected. I don't know what I'd do without her!!”

“This is my second time having Zihan sit with my cat and he absolutely loves her. She takes great videos and photos and is easy to communicate with. I will rebook with her again whenever I have a need.”

“Rachel does great with my dogs. They seem to really enjoy her and she’s great about my dogs being a little stand-offish when new people enter the home.”

“Sandra was amazing! We had to leave very unexpectedly and she was able to accommodate! There was a mix up with a friend who was supposed to make morning visits and help with our smaller critters and feedings and when they didn't show Sandra took initiative to play with them and make sure they had food and water! I can't thank her enough!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Spring Valley
The moment Barbara met our three cats, we knew we had found someone extraordinary. From that first meet-and-greet through every scheduled drop-in visit, she cared for our cats—and reassured us—with a level of warmth, attentiveness, and genuine connection we had never experienced with a pet sitter before. In fact, a couple of remarkable “firsts” happened during that very first visit. One of our cats, who is incredibly sweet but typically a complete “hider” around new people, actually came running down the stairs to greet Barbara. We were both floored—and honestly a little confused! We had never seen her respond to someone new that way. Our other cat, equally sweet and usually just as cautious with strangers, soon stretched out on the living room floor beside her and began engaging with her as though she were already an old friend. We looked at each other and knew immediately that there was something special about Barbara. Somewhere along the way during that first visit, she affectionately dubbed herself “Aunt Barb.” We loved it—and, judging by our cats’ reactions to her, apparently they did too. Aunt Barb it was. That first impression carried through every single visit while we were away. Barbara was incredibly thorough, attentive, and genuinely engaged with our cats. Her updates never felt like someone simply checking boxes on a list of pet-sitting duties. It was obvious that she was spending real time with them, learning their individual personalities and routines, and making sure they felt comfortable, cared for, and loved. Her communication was spot-on, and the care and detail she put into keeping us updated gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. Perhaps one of our favorite surprises came when Barbara sent us photos of all three cats actually playing together. We have been carefully working to integrate our newest cat, Mosi, into the household, and Barbara not only understood how important that process was to us, she continued that work while we were gone. Seeing all three of them relaxed, interacting, and playing together in her care was something we never expected—and it meant the world to us. What impressed us most, though, was how genuinely Barbara cared about our cats. There is an enormous difference between someone who is good at taking care of animals and someone who truly connects with them. Barbara does both. She seemed to understand each of our cats as an individual and met each of them where they were, rather than expecting them to simply adjust to her. Finding someone you trust with your pets—and your home—is a big deal. Finding someone who makes you feel that your pets are being cared for with the same affection and attentiveness you would give them yourself is something else entirely. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Barbara and have already asked her to care for our feline family again. If you are looking for someone who will care for your pets with skill, compassion, and genuine affection, we cannot recommend Barbara—our beloved “Aunt Barb”—highly enough. She earned our cats’ trust immediately, gave us complete peace of mind, and has become the first person we will call whenever our feline family needs care.

Sarah was amazing! Communication was great, she made sure to keep me updated daily. I loved the pictures! This was my first experience with Rover and any pet sitter and I would absolutely do it again. The entire booking process was very easy and seamless. I was able to relax during my trip knowing my fur babies were ok. Highly recommend!

Alicia is hands down the best cat sitter we've ever had. We were gone for over a week and she followed every single instruction we gave her, and honestly went above and beyond that. She kept things clean and actually spent real time with our cats instead of just doing the bare minimum. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she's looking after. It's no surprise she's the highest rated sitter in the area. She proved exactly why every day we were gone. We came home to happy, well loved cats and a spotless space. We will absolutely be booking her every single time from now on. Can't recommend her enough!

Zihan was AMAZING! Always prompt, communicative, sweet and incredible with my kitties. My one cat is a little spicy and she handled it like the professional she is. I would love to have her watch over my baby's again should I need to get out of town again. Highly, highly recommend Zihan if you need someone who is efficient and will always let you know what's going on while you're away. She is incredible! Thanks girl!!

I cannot recommend Karen enough. From the start, at the meet and greet, my cats adored her! My little girl who usually takes a while to warm up to people went up to her right away and obviously knew Karen would take good care of her. Karen was on time every day, and she communicated with me and let me know my cats were doing well. Karen was also not intimidated with giving one of my cats her inhaler when I know that can be difficult. I know people think cats are aloof, but my cats enjoy people, and Karen actually played and hung out with them and did not just feed and run.

Jay was excellent with our kittens and senior cat. They provided updates and photos for each check-in and was super responsive to any questions we had. Having Jay look in on our babies while we were away allowed us to enjoy our vacation without worrying if they were doing ok. I highly recommend Jay and we will definitely be utilizing their services again for our next vacation.

Mason was the best choice we could have hoped for. My cat Marco absolutely loved him. He responded to my texts promptly and remembered to send pics of my fur baby without being reminded. Mason showed up on time each day like clockwork. I appreciated him being trushworthy as well. I might add that Mson's daily rates are reasonable considering the limited chores we paid him to do. THANK YOU MASON FOR BEING RELIABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY !!!! We recommend him with 5 stars ! 6-17-26

Matthew is an amazing dog walker. He is attentive to specific needs of our dog and caters his time with her to best suit her. He is always on time and spends the full length of time with her. He sends plenty of photos along with a report of how his time with her was spent. He truly loves dogs and working with them to help them grow.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
