“We hired Jennifer during a trip, she was super nice, flexible and communicative. She maintained me informed of every activity and sent a bunch of photos. We moved now but if not I'd hire her again for sure!!”

About: I have owned dogs and fish throughout my life. I have also taken care of family members and friends pets as well. I don't currently have a pet due to my extensive traveling which is why I'd love to take care of your fur baby! I can take your dog on short hikes or walks and spend some quality play time with them as well. When I travel I also try to adopt a dog for a day when possible in the places I visit to help dogs find their forever homes. I am also open to taking care of other animals as I am always open to new experiences. I'm currently retired and have plenty of time to care for your pet! I am flexible and can be available days, nights, and weekends when I'm not traveling. I will treat your home as my own if overnight sitting is needed. I understand sometimes pets feel more comfortable in their own environments and will respect their space.

“First time we have used the service. We had two small in a hotel room. We utilized Rover so that we could go out to dinner and to events in Las Vegas. We selected Drew and it was the best decision that we ever made. She was on time and had a very kind and warm attitude about her. The two dogs were immediately comfortable with her and we are extremely grateful for her ability to bond with the dogs and make them feel at ease when we left the hotel room. We hope to see her again one of these days when we return.”
About: I have had pets all my life, from fish to hamsters to your basic cat and dawg. Book me and your pet wont want to come back but Ill make sure they do. I have a smaller place but I need to hit at least 15,000 steps a day so we will be going on walks frequently. Currently I dont have any pets, but I help my mom with taking care of and walking our familt dog. Hes elderly and needs to go out to the restroom frequently so I take him every 2 hours or so. I make sure to give them lots of attention and be sure to have basic needs met (food, water, restroom, love). I take care of pers like a baby as they arent able to take care of themselves so they are relying on me to give them what they need.
“Kimberly was an amazing sitter for our kitty cat! She was so communicative, flexible, and friendly to us and our cat. She sent amazing photos of our pet and clear updates on her wellbeing. We will definitely be using her again in the future.”

About: I'm a HUGE animal lover. I've raised and sat many different pets. I've cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, frogs, hamsters, cats, dogs, and an opossum. I had a senior chihuahua that passed away in May 2026. I am available for boarding small animals, cats, and small to medium sized dogs. I work during the day on weekdays, however, my office is 8 minutes down the road and I check in at home on my lunch break. I sit for one client at a time. (Or multiple pets from one family). I have a quiet apartment. I am a homebody most nights. If I leave the apartment, I like to leave reggae music or reality tv (usually Real Housewives of NYC) on for the pets. I let the pets sleep with me in the bed if they prefer.
“Colleen was the perfect sitter for Rocky and myself. She took in my instructions and followed them without issue while giving my guy the attention and care he needed.”

“Double reviewing because she’s the best! We got stuck in Florida because of a hurricane, and Jay was completely flexible and made sure our kitties were taken care of and safe every step of the way.”
“Nina took fantastic care of my cat while I am away. I loved receiving the adorable photos and updates – it really eased my mind. Highly recommend for anyone in need of a reliable and caring cat sitter. Thanks again!”

About: I have had pets my whole life! I’ve taken care of elderly, new borns, puppies, big dogs, cats, turtles, fish, birds and more. I’m a real animal lover. 🩷 I am very flexible & can work out any schedule! I’m currently working part-time. My schedule isn’t the same every week but I can accommodate as much as I can! I just need at least 2 weeks notice, but sometimes I can accommodate in case of emergent pet care. I am very adamant about pets safety. Having pets in this generation is like having kids! I will provide the most loving and safe service I can offer to your children.
“Maria took care of our two cats while we were out of town. One of them is diabetic and requires insulin injections. Maria is amazing! She is very detail-oriented and thorough. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs pet care.”

About: I've had a huge love for animals especially dogs since we got our first dog when I was 4 years old; hence, I've learned responsibility to take care of animals at a very young age. I've always loved petting, cuddling & playing with them as well. I’ve dog sat a few breeds on & off since I was 13 for my neighbors & cousins. I've been a coparent for 3 dachshunds & 2 cats. One of them, Molly, being a senior dachshund that passed in 2021. The last 2 years of her life I cooked her people’s food, changed diapers due to her becoming incontinent, taught her how to open her mouth for medicine, & made sure her dog pen was as comfortable as possible. She also had dementia, in addition to her sight & hearing almost gone. I still walked her daily because that's when she was the happiest. She lived to be 16.5 years old & was never sick or in pain with perfect health until she passed peacefully. In 2023, I helped foster a Pembroke corgi, Loki, I walked him & helped teach him how to be social because the first year of his life was spent locked in a cage. I helped my sister to teach & acclimate him to normal functioning activities to learn how to be a dog. We then rehomed him with loving parents who we keep in touch with to this day. I walk my dogs daily in the mornings, feed them with healthy toppers & ice-cold water every morning & lots of playtime. I’ve traveled with my dogs for many years & taken cares of them while on vacation with us. I am a part-time nursing student at CSN, I live at home & don't work so I have a flexible schedule. I'm an early bird & usually begin my day at the gym. My past drop-in visits I usually do on the way to the gym or the store. I can always stay with them in your home & study to keep them company, if desired. After coming home from school or running errands is my typical time that I do second drop-ins if needed. I have a large pool in our backyard, I teach them how to swim & get out of the pool, locked gates, doggie door with a doorbell so I know when they go in & out, I walk them daily so if they do get out, they know how to get home. My dogs aren't runners because due to being walked everyday they don't have the desire to run out the door.
Spring Valley dog parents share their Rover experiences
Matthew is an amazing dog walker. He is attentive to specific needs of our dog and caters his time with her to best suit her. He is always on time and spends the full length of time with her. He sends plenty of photos along with a report of how his time with her was spent. He truly loves dogs and working with them to help them grow.

Chris and his fiancé were absolutely amazing and such a life saver on short notice. They were incredibly kind, patient, and understanding with Benjamin, who is still adjusting and can be a bit difficult when left alone. Benjamin warmed up to them right away, which speaks volumes about how caring and trustworthy they are. They were super understanding of Benjamin’s needs and took such great care of him. I truly appreciated the communication and patience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter.

Callie did so good on her drop in visit with Kyle! It was our first time leaving our puppy alone with someone else and we were super nervous. But she did an amazing job watching Kyle. She sent pictures and her communication was perfect. I would definitely recommend Callie to watch over your pet and will be using her again! Already looking forward to her helping us out more the next few weeks.

Laurie B is a gem! As a first-time user of the app and a new puppy parent, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed—but Laurie made everything easy. From the very beginning, she went out of her way to help me navigate the app and offered helpful tips and best practices to ensure a smooth experience. She was incredibly patient with both me and my energetic puppy, always checking in, asking thoughtful clarifying questions, and keeping communication open and clear. Her kindness, professionalism, and calm presence made a big difference—and most importantly, my puppy loved her. Laurie is the kind of sitter you hope to find: attentive, reliable, and genuinely caring. I can’t recommend her enough. Thank you, Laurie!
