My goal is to be your go-to professional for a quick check in, regular walk or overnight stay for your best friend. I grew up owning dogs, cats, ferrets and even snakes. I love all animals and practice positive reinforcement training with my American Cocker Spaniel named Cannoli, (he even looks like a cannoli). We would love to walk or pet-sit for you! I’m happy to work with dogs of all sizes even the big ones! Before accepting first booking I will ask to do a meet and greet, in which, I will assess your pup so we can make sure it’s a good fit and everyone is comfortable. During my walking sessions I provide water in a doggy flask, homemade treats my wife makes made from 3 ingredients: oats, banana and one-ingredient natural peanut butter! I will implement basic relationship building techniques as I use positive reinforcement training (offering treats for basic obedience commands: touch, look, sit, down, heel, etc.) during the walk at no additional cost. In addition, I will make sure to get a vigorous pace going, reaching up to 1.5 miles on a half hour walk or even above 3 miles for an hour! That is, if your dog is healthy and they are up to the challenge and are enjoying it. My suggestion: for high energy dogs, extend the time of the walk to one hour. Throughout the walk I will send pictures and update you on our progress through the Rover App. A little more about myself: I grew up in Yonkers, NY, was in Cub and Boy Scouts as a child and moved to Las Vegas with my wife, for a sunnier existence, 4 years ago! Holding deep conversations about life, science, philosophy and how dog training can relate to all things relevant to our daily lives is my passion. I have experienced loss of loved ones (both human and pet), overcome struggles and challenges and live and breathe a positive mindset, a will to accomplish any goal and a need to share my experience and knowledge with others. Matthew is very professional and knowledgeable about dog behaviors and temperaments. We have a large dog and I appreciate this attention to our boy. You can tell Matthew cares about the clients he takes on and it makes the experience that much better.
Matthew is an amazing dog walker. He is attentive to specific needs of our dog and caters his time with her to best suit her. He is always on time and spends the full length of time with her. He sends plenty of photos along with a report of how his time with her was spent. He truly loves dogs and working with them to help them grow.
Matthew is a fantastic dog walker and care taker. Reliable, communicative, and clearly cared for Odin as if he were his own.
Matthew is always great with our pups. He’s been helping us so much with Mickey’s training and they always come back nicely tired. They’re always excited to see him!

Schedule
I have worked in restaurants since 18, rising to Assistant General Manager role as well as Culinary Lead. I am currently available all mornings and Wednesday and Thursday all day for walking, boarding and in-house pet check ins where I feed, provide water and play as well as a walk to your pet when you are not home (I always make sure to send pictures and lock up.) After I have established a relationship with your dog and am certain they are socialized, with your permission, I like to include my dog Cannoli on some walks to provide socialization as well as companionship. Cannoli is a great runner and always wears his sneakers. Please reach out with any questions.

Safety, trust & environment
Fenced in yard. Lots of toys and fun to be had playing with my well trained dog Cannoli. We live in a gated community and would be happy to walk or run with your dog as we all know a tired dog is a good dog and I have a lot of energy and attention to give.

A typical day
I work with my dog using positive reinforcement techniques, establishing games like Fetch, tug of war, chasing and being chased, gotcha game, and other games with a purpose allow me to train while keeping the experience fun for the dog and myself. We have plenty of toys, comfy places to lay down and Cannoli, my wife Samantha and myself to keep them company. We have plenty of love and attention to give. Your puppy will be safe from the heat, from boredom and be given proper exercise, attention and positive experiences to further their obedience and socialization skills.
