“Sasha was awesome! She gave me so much peace of mind while she looked after my sweet KoKo Bean. She was a great communicator and kept me updated with pics & everything while I was away to keep me at peace knowing that KoKo was in great hands. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Oriana was great with my babies! I've never left them with anyone other than my mom before, so I was a little nervous to make sure everything was done correctly...but Oriana made me feel relaxed and comfortable. She was very professional and can tell she truly loves taking care of dogs so much. She sent me updates and pictures throughout the day and was responsive whenever I checked in with her. Will definitely be booking her again for my next trip!”

“We have used other sitters but by far John is THE BEST! He came by our house 1st and spent time getting to meet our cat and dog. He made us feel so comfortable. Excellent communication and pictures. Our girl always looked like she was smiling in all the pics. The house was perfect. He is certainly a keeper! Highly recommend him.”

“This is the second time Laura has stayed with our two pups, at our home, and we cannot thank her enough for taking such good care of them! She is so considerate and goes above and beyond. We were able to enjoy time away with our granddaughters without any worries. Thank you again Laura! Looking forward to our next vacay!”

“Denys took amazing care of our dog Rocky while we were away. He was reliable, caring, and kept us at ease knowing Rocky was in great hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had pets all of my life and I love animals.! I currently have one cat so I am comfortable pet sitting cats. I also love dogs, I had a Dalmatian who lived until he was 17. I have experience watching my family members and friends animals. Please reach out with further questions. I have a job position that allows me to work from home which lets me be home with the animals all day to care of them. I will be able to take them for many walks throughout the day. I have a two story house that is very spacious. I have a fenced in backyard. I live right next to a park where I can take daily walks and enjoy the outdoors.
About: Hi! I am new here but offer years of experience caring for pets! I just love animals and grew up with a German Shepard called KC and a monkey called Maruja, yes a monkey! :) Let me help you with walking your dogs, board them at my home, or even care for any other pets (no snakes). My availability is pretty open. Reach out! My current schedule is a balance from home and office depending on the weeks, days and projects that are available for my role within the company. I have a fenced yard with a deck and grass within a safe Pembroke Pines community. If your pet enjoys walking they’ll definitely join me!
“We are so grateful for Amy, who watched our special needs dog for three weeks while we traveled internationally. She stayed at our house and sent constant updates, gave him his medication, and provided him constant love. When we came home she left the house spotless as we left it for her, which was so respectful of her. We had provided A LOT of instructions for her to take care of our dog (2 pages worth), and she followed directions perfectly. Our dog was so happy to be with her during that time, and we were glad we were able to take a breath during our vacation, knowing he was in safe hands.”

About: Welcome to my profile! I'm an animal lover with a passion for caring for pets. I have a dog, two cats, and two horses, so I know firsthand how much they mean to their families. With over 10 years of pet care experience, and having worked as a full-time pet sitter for the past year, I'm comfortable handling all kinds of pet care needs. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets in a new place, so I go out of my way to make them feel comfortable and loved, just like they’re at home. And don’t worry—I’ll send you so many photos and updates, you’ll be sick of hearing from me! I look forward to meeting your pets and providing them with the best care possible! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to spend plenty of time playing with your pets, taking them on walks, and attending to all of their needs. Plus, my husband works from home full-time, so if I ever need to step out, he’s here to keep an eye on them. We have a spacious, safe, fully fenced backyard perfect for outdoor play and running around. When it’s time to relax, we have many dog beds and a comfy couch. I’m flexible and make sure to adjust playtime to fit each pet’s personality and favorite activities.
“Marjorie was great with Prince he warmed up to her after a while she kept him very relaxed while I was away he tends to get sad with separation anxiety. She sent me updates, pictures and kept him on his schedule during her visit which was great and very helpful. I definitely recommend her to any of my friends and family members with pets.”

About: I live in Gramercy and lead an active lifestyle — I’m home pretty much all day and flexible with my schedule, so I can accommodate walks and visits at any time. My roommate and I both love animals, so your pet will get plenty of extra attention and affection while you’re away. I go on daily walks and runs myself, so I’d genuinely love the company whether laying on the couch or going outside! I’m currently home for most of the day and have a flexible schedule, so pet care fits easily into my routine. I go on daily walks and runs of my own, so I can build your pet’s walks right into that time. I’m open to walks, drop-ins, or boarding pretty much any time, weekdays or weekends. I live in Gramercy with a roommate who loves animals just as much as I do, so your pet will get plenty of attention while you’re away. I have a pointer rescue and previously had two Great Danes, so I’m very comfortable managing dogs of all sizes and energy levels in a home setting, and I’m equally happy caring for cats after growing up with them my whole life.

“Bianca was great with our three pups. Our puppies are really scare when we are not with us, but Bianca was really patient and sweet with them. We received daily photos and updates. We will book Bianca services again.”

About: They call me the animal whisperer because of my natural instinct and draw towards animals and giving to their energy. Grew up with pets since I can remember! I’ve been taking care of others fur babies for over a decade. My schedule normally consists of working full-time 9-5, on occasions I have more flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and sitting. Services provided upon request and availability. Normally I do some part-time sitting with several drop-ins, and walks, or each separately at the fur parents home. On the occasion the pet is friendly and is comfortable at my home, they are always welcome here when needed.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Southwest Ranches
Amy was absolutely fantastic. I am very picky when it comes to who gets to care for my dog but as soon as I met Amy, I just knew she could be trusted. She’s a kind soul who will communicate, show up on time, send updates and leave the house better than how you left it. Micco loved every moment with her and I will be sure to book again.

Ana took wonderful care of Gordo while I was away. I’m very grateful for all the love, attention, and happiness she gave him. It was clear that she treated him with kindness and made him feel comfortable and cared for. When Gordo came home, he was happy, relaxed, and affectionate, which shows how well he was treated. Thank you, Ana, for your dedication and for giving Gordo so much love. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Southwest Ranches walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Southwest Ranches maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Southwest Ranches choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
