“Sasha was amazing with our dog Bolt while we were away! She took great care of him in our home, kept us updated with thoughtful communication, and truly went above and beyond. She even swam with him, which he loved! We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup. I would absolutely book with Sasha again. Highly recommend!”

“Mikayla was amazing. She took care of our little guy for a couple days and he loved her!! She was responsive and sent us updates throughout the day. Our flight was delayed and she was available to stay with him an extra night which was lifesaving. We 100% would recommend her.”

“John was amazing with Porter who is a big dog and loves to jump. He came prepared with treats and really took the time to get to know Porters needs. Was an amazing rover sitter!”

“Laura was amazing! Very professional and warm from the very beginning. Also very attentive and communicative throughout the process So grateful that we get to have her watch her animals. Looking forward to the next sit. 😊”

“We are so grateful for Amy, who watched our special needs dog for three weeks while we traveled internationally. She stayed at our house and sent constant updates, gave him his medication, and provided him constant love. When we came home she left the house spotless as we left it for her, which was so respectful of her. We had provided A LOT of instructions for her to take care of our dog (2 pages worth), and she followed directions perfectly. Our dog was so happy to be with her during that time, and we were glad we were able to take a breath during our vacation, knowing he was in safe hands.”

About: I absolutely adore animals. I love being able to love on them and they are a blessing in my life. They just bring absolute joy and excitement into my life. With medications I can give vitamins & pills if needed but have never handled needles. I am willing to learn if needed!! I have pet sat from around a year old all the way to 10+ years with joint issues. I am very easy and work better with clear instructions. The more the better. I want to make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible as well sticking to the same routine while you’re away so they aren’t thrown off too much. I currently do this full time & absolutely love it. My schedule is pretty open and I am VERY flexible. I am also flexible on price. I want to make this as easy as possible for my clients and make sure they are 100% satisfied with my services. When I am in a clients home I like to go by a routine that’s written out by the client. I like clear and set instructions (food, potty, water preference, etc) that way I can follow their normal routine and make them as comfortable as possible while the owner is away.
“Denys was great with baloo I was able to see at times they got along well and he had plenty of good walks, I came back from vacation and baloo looks in great condition and also well fed...denys followed our instructions well and was very respectful of the house environment ,I highly recommend denys to anyone who wants excellent care of their pets...again thank you Denys and rover for this great experience!”

About: Dogs are a big part of my life, and I treat each one like my own. I have experience caring for both puppies and seniors, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy every day. I am currently playing college softball at FAU. I practice in the mornings and have availability in the afternoons, giving me plenty of time to care for, walk, and spend quality time with your dog. I focus on keeping pets comfortable and loved, making sure they get the attention and care they need every day. I follow their normal routine and I want to create a calm, safe environment while you’re gone.
“Mafalda was such a wonderful pet sitter for our 11 month old Havapoo! She was punctual and very communicative from the moment we booked up until the appointment day. We look forward to future bookings with Mafalda!”

About: I have had pets all of my life and I love animals.! I currently have one cat so I am comfortable pet sitting cats. I also love dogs, I had a Dalmatian who lived until he was 17. I have experience watching my family members and friends animals. Please reach out with further questions. I have a job position that allows me to work from home which lets me be home with the animals all day to care of them. I will be able to take them for many walks throughout the day. I have a two story house that is very spacious. I have a fenced in backyard. I live right next to a park where I can take daily walks and enjoy the outdoors.

“So, I am one to read every review for everything I’m going to do, but I never take the time to leave one. However, I had to review Christina and the incredible job she did taking care of my two babies. I almost don’t want to review her because I want to keep her for myself lolllll, but she deserves the attention and praise. My two 50 pound dogs are not an easy task (very rambunctious and high maintenance) and I was so nervous and paranoid about somebody being able to control them. It’s hard to have people walk in the house because it takes time to acclimate them, but Christina came for two meet and greets and at the first one when the pups weren’t acting as friendly as I would have liked, she kept her cool and was great with them and sat and visited for a long time. Once my trip came, I was still worried about her going into the house and everything being OK, but she sent me constant updates and pictures and left the house in perfect condition. It is such a relief when you know you can count on someone to take care of your fur babies ❤️❤️. Thank you so so much Cristina for the love and care you gave to Marley and Huckleberry and for the peace of mind you gave to our entire family. I think they are looking forward to their next hang out time with you ???”

About: I have a 4 year old Pomeranian of my own, and have fostered 3 dogs in the past. I am a teacher during the school year, so I have experience with managing and supervising large groups of kids. Doggies need that same kind of care ! I'm a teacher on summer break. I have a small dog of my own, so most of my days off are spent doing coffee runs and errands with Dolly. I live in a small apartment perfect for smaller dogs. I have lots of toys , treats, and pet beds, and lots of energy for walks, fetch, and tug of war. Dogs are allowed on furniture for nap time! :)
“Nicole was SO SWEET with my two boys who sometimes can be a lot to handle. I really appreciated her stopping in before our vacation to meet them. She sent pictures the entire time and I will 100% be booking with her in the future! Thank you so much for taking care of my babies!”

“Audrey is a great sitter for my cats. She even took care of my tanks too. My cats are safe and happy. I got informed everyday and never got worried for my babies. I will definetly book her again”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid, whether it was dog walking or playing with them. Ive had numerous families rely on me as I am also a nanny, and take care of their pets. I currently work part time. One of my jobs is dog sitting. So I’m pretty flexible as need be. I love to make the time to ensure the pet doesn’t feel lonely. I normally work in the clients home. We either play around the home or head on outside to a safe area where they can get tons of movement.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Southwest Ranches walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Southwest Ranches maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Southwest Ranches choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
