About: I’ve spent the last 18 years surrounded by animals, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. From playful puppies learning their first tricks to sweet seniors needing extra love and patience, I cherish every stage of a pet’s life. What makes me different is the way I connect with each pet on a personal level. I take the time to understand their routines, their quirks, and what makes their tails wag (or their purrs start!). Whether it’s gentle walks, cuddle time, or giving medication with care, I make sure they always feel safe, loved, and at home, even when you’re away. For me, this isn’t just pet sitting, it’s being a trusted friend to your furry family member. 🐾 Because I work remotely, I have the flexibility to give pets the attention they deserve throughout the day. Whether it’s a midday walk, playtime in the afternoon, or snuggles in the evening, I’m able to fit pet care seamlessly into my daily routine. Being home most of the time also means your furry friend will rarely be left alone, and I can keep them on their usual schedule with plenty of love and companionship. My days revolve around making sure pets feel happy, comfortable, and cared for. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their routines closely so your furry friend feels comfortable and secure. I pay attention to the small details—like feeding schedules, preferred walking routes, and favorite toys—so their day feels as normal and stress-free as possible. I create a calm, loving environment where pets know they’re safe. Whether it’s double-checking doors and gates, giving medication carefully, or offering extra snuggles for reassurance, I treat each pet with the same love and responsibility I give my own. You can always count on open communication and regular updates, because I know how important it is to feel connected while you’re away.
“Dayelin is exceptional. She took excellent care of my babies and showered them with affection. She dedicated time to them and always sent us photos. We are very grateful for her care and will definitely be back. From the first day, we had complete confidence in her. She is very professional and responsible. We highly recommend her.”

“Laura was amazing! Very professional and warm from the very beginning. Also very attentive and communicative throughout the process So grateful that we get to have her watch her animals. Looking forward to the next sit. 😊”

“Audrey is a great sitter for my cats. She even took care of my tanks too. My cats are safe and happy. I got informed everyday and never got worried for my babies. I will definetly book her again”

About: Hi! I'm someone who genuinely loves animals and understands that every pet deserves patience, attention, and individualized care. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. My experience with pets goes beyond simply owning one. I fostered a kitten from just 2 weeks old until 3 months, providing around the clock care during one of the most delicate stages of its life. That experience taught me how important consistency, gentleness, and close attention to an animal's needs are. I've also cared for my own Lhasa Apso since I was 12 years old. She's now 9, and I personally handle her grooming, baths, daily care, and overall well-being. Because of this, I'm comfortable following routines, paying attention to changes in behavior, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I'm naturally meticulous and detail-oriented, so I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet companion to relax with, I'm happy to match their personality and make them feel at home. I'm currently saving for graduate school, and pet sitting allows me to earn money doing something I truly enjoy. My goal isn't just to watch your pet. It’s to provide the same level of care, affection, and reliability that I would want for my own. When your pet is with me, you can have peace of mind knowing they're in caring, responsible, and trustworthy hands. Pet care fits well into my daily routine. I work Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., so I'm available before and after work for walks, feedings, playtime, and overnight care. My evenings and weekends are flexible, allowing me to give pets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I'm committed to maintaining each pet's normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you're away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping their routine as normal as possible. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any special care your pet may need. I understand that pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment, so I make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. I also treat every home with the utmost respect by keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. My goal is to ensure both you and your pet feel comfortable, confident, and at ease while you're away.
“5 starts just isn’t enough. Scott was our first experience having our dogs house sit & first time leaving our pup, it was challenging passing him down to Scott, but he made it all possible, was flexible, helpful and surpassed all our expectations and MORE. Hands down, BEST doggie sitter out there & super loving with the pups. 10?”

We couldn’t be happier with the care our dogs, Gus and Otis, received. They were incredibly attentive, reliable, and clearly treated our pups like family. We received regular updates and always felt at ease knowing they were in such good hands. Gus and Otis came home happy, well cared for, and loved. It’s such a relief to find someone so trustworthy and genuinely caring. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional pet care and will definitely use them again in the future!
Michelle was so great to work with- communicative, friendly, and our pets loved having her stay for the weekend! She provided detailed daily info about how everything was going, as well as pictures throughout her stay. Michelle handled our senior dog's medications perfectly and ensured he was healthy and well-taken care of the whole time. Our cat also warmed up to her quickly, which isn't always the case. Things couldn't have gone any better and we already rebooked for another stay!

Chris was an awesome puppy sitter !! He came to our house to watch our dog while we left for the day. He is super sweet and loves dogs, and our puppy loves him. He also literally trained our puppy how to lay down in just one visit !! When i came home i tried it and she knew the command. He sent us the cutest photos of our pup and continued strong communication / updates while we were gone!!

Mercedes was absolutely wonderful—kind, attentive, and truly caring. She treated Smokey like royalty, keeping him happy, engaged, and well-loved every single day. I received daily photo updates, which made me feel at ease while I was away. When I returned, Smokey was happy, well-fed, and clearly in great spirits. Mercedes is not only a great sitter but also a genuinely lovely person. I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you, Mercedes!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Palm Springs North walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Palm Springs North maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Palm Springs North choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
