About: i’ve had 3 pet dogs in my life since i was 10 years old, 13 years later, i’m down to two and i still love them with all my heart! i moved from Connecticut to Florida and looking to work doing something i love, caring for pets :) i know lots of the dogs on my street and i want to meet more! i have a neighbor who relies on me to watch her male chihuahua once in a while when her female pomski is in heat, and i used watch my cousins shihtzu when they would travel. i’m very strict about walking these guys on a schedule. my dogs have to go outside at least every 7 hours or less (i try to walk them whenever i have to “go” to get an idea). i have lots of experience with pets (mainly small and medium dogs 2-25lbs) i enjoy learning their different personalities likes and dislikes. i’ll care for your dog like it’s my own, :) <3 i’m happy to send constant updates feel free to ask me any questions about my experience and or my own pups :) i work part time so i have a lot of free time, i’m plan on starting small, and hopefully with the service i provide, i’ll build clientele and in a year i could raise my prices if the demand is high enough. right now my plan is to make enough cash to take online courses for a future career in my home i walk my dogs minimum of 3 times a day although most days it’s 4 (they dont wake up through the night and they sleep about 10-12 hours) i make them food most days, they’re picky about their food so i don’t have kibble at home in your home, i can make your pets food as well, so long you provide the ingredients of course i do well with walking them on schedules my dogs go to the dog park maybe once a week or maybe the beach, something fun as a sitter that’s something i can do for you as well im more than happy to take picture and videos and send you updates on your fur baby to help you feel more at ease with the distance between you and them <3
About: I have trained my own dog from he was a puppy and was 12 years old. I loved caring for him and teaching him new things. Regardless of the dog breed I will watch the dog, I truly have a passion for dogs. So this is a great way for me to get involved with dogs. And love your dog as my own, this past August of 2024, I put my best friend down selflessly and just want to show same love I did to him to your little love. 🐶 Pet care is perfect for my routine because throughout the week I hardly work and with enough notice I can get the time off to dog sit. So I can play and stay with the dog for as long as you need during the week. When I take care of my own dog I love to use the harness because he chokes himself when he walks. I take him on a long walk until he pees and poops. Sometimes to loosen the dog up I will play with my dog to tire him out and let him have to go poop. I’m currently working part time and only receiving three days of work only a few hours, but I am available with set days off being Sunday and Wednesdays. I can typically request off with 2 weeks advance notice. I have a fenced in yard and no longer have a dog. So the sole attention and focus will be all on your dog. Your dog will be able to run in the fenced in back yard or go on long walks.
“Sarah is so reliable and easy to communicate with. She sent us just the right amount of photos and check-ins while we were away. I will completely trust her with my dog any time. She is great!”

“Abbie was amazing! So sweet & communicative the whole time I was away from KoKo. She gave me so much peace of mind and left everything tidy and clean at my home. She even drew the cutest picture of my baby as a parting gift. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of a sitter & am definitely booking with her again!”

“We have used other sitters but by far John is THE BEST! He came by our house 1st and spent time getting to meet our cat and dog. He made us feel so comfortable. Excellent communication and pictures. Our girl always looked like she was smiling in all the pics. The house was perfect. He is certainly a keeper! Highly recommend him.”

“Stella is absolutely amazing! ✨️ This was our girls first time ever being away from us in over 4yrs and Stella was so understanding and gentle, she was so good with her! 🥰 We absolutely love Stella and will definitely be using her again in the future! Thank you so much Stella for making our trip stress free and keeping our little princess happy and stress free also ❤️❤️❤️”

About: I have been taking care of a neighbor's house with three dogs and one cat and suddenly I realized this can be a job that I'm comfortable in! The cat is a kitten, so I am a little hesitant with cats. (Have never dealt with adult cats) If you leave me instructions everything is good to go! I currently have a lot of free time because of online classes. I have a very flexible schedule, and I am very happy to work with you! :) I have a closed fence and two potty trained dogs. Normally about every 3ish hours I will take the dogs out in the yard. When the dog's kind of tell me through their behavior that they want to go outside I let them. I also take them out on walks so
“Valentina is amazing! I had never used rover before and she was able to go check on my dogs during an emergency. She sent photos and let me know all was well. The next day, we booked her for house sitting and she was amazing. She checked on them a few times through the day (sent photos every time), and spent the night keeping our animals cozy in their own home. She is communicative and attentive. I recommend her and WILL be using her again when needed!! Thank you so much Valentina.”

“This is the second time we had Olga to sit Capone and was another great experience. We went to Miami for dinner and not once was concerned about him. The updates kept coming to my phone. She took him to our Dog park. Capone lives her and so do we. If she’s available and you want your dog safe and happy hire her and you won’t regret it”

I have three dogs and one cat of my own, so animals are a huge part of my everyday life! I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, attention, and care that I give my own. Whether your pet loves walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’m here to make them feel comfortable and cared for! I’m a teacher, which gives me a great schedule for pet care! I leave for work around 7:00 a.m. and am usually home by 3:15 p.m., so I’m available in the afternoons and evenings. I’m also available on weekends, or federal holidays where school is closed, making me a great option for weekend trips, evening drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting. I’ll always do my best to work with your pet’s routine and give them the care and attention they deserve I can take care of your dog exactly how you need me to. If they need to go in a crate, I will put them in it. If they need me to sing them a song before they eat, I’ll do it. Whatever makes them feel comfortable!
About: I've been taking care of dogs for friends, family, and myself since I was 13. I've had rescues, older dogs, dogs with separation anxiety, and puppies. I've done basic obedience training and potty training with small and medium sized dogs and I've also taken care of older foster dogs I'm currently in between jobs so I have plenty of free time to watch and play with your furry family. I'm home full time 7 days a week and I live with my two retired parents I have a fenced backyard so they can run and play to their hearts content without any outside worries. I don't currently have animals of my own. I have no problem with crating a dog if requested, but I prefer to let them roam and be in the same room as them to watch over and play with.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Miramar
Denys was wonderful with our two dogs who can be a little crazy. He stayed at our home while we travelled and took excellent care of Parker and Millie. He asked great questions ahead of time, sent some updates while we were away, and knew how to safely navigate any issues. Our house was also on great shape when we returned. Very trustworthy. Highly recommend!

Sarah was very responsive to my queries and provided frequent updates and photos of Tashi, which made me feel more comfortable leaving my fur child for an extended period of time. We did have one hiccup where I wasn't able to get in touch with her for a day, but Tashi was fine and all was well.

Rhokia was a wonderful dog sitter who took amazing care of my very attached Cavalier, Jax, while I was away on a work trip. Each day, she sent detailed updates about their walks and excursions, along with photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She even brought him toys! She made sure he was well-fed, gave him treats and plenty of affection, and most importantly, truly cared for and loved him while I was away. She was also a respectful guest in my home and left everything just as she found it—clean and organized. I can’t say enough great things about Rhokia and the exceptional care she provides. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter.

Michelle was awesome. She took care of Dulce making her confortable with her, playing with her in the backyard and eventually with walks around the neighborhood. Dulce was her happy self when we came back. We look forward to Michelle taking care of Dulce again this coming April.

Adrienne was super sweet and took such great care of my boys! She sent pictures and made our trip feel less stressful knowing that she was at our home taking care of them. When we got home the dogs were happy and you could tell they were loved on well! Thank you Adrienne!!!

Our dear Norman was taken care of in our home for the day and Jasmine and Manuela did a wonderful job. Followed all instructions and were very careful with him. He is a special needs dog so we were worried but all was well when we got home! We are glad we put our trusting in them and intend on hiring them again. Thank you ladies for your care.

Amber did an amazing job taking care of our boys for our 2 weeks trip, first time we use a sitter for that long of a period but we didn’t have any concerns while we were overseas, she was very responsive even with a crazy 13 hours time zone difference. Will definitely keep booking Amber for our upcoming trips if she’s available.

As of August 2026, there are 4,297 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Miramar. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Miramar walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Miramar maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Miramar choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Miramar. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
