About: Hi, My name is Michael M. I just moved backed home to Miami. Since my first memories we have always owned dogs. My mom had a habit of picking up stray dogs. Her heart always broke when she saw a furry defenseless dog begging for food or needing shelter. My mom's big heart exposed me to many types of dogs all different sizes and temperament. I have been dog sitting for a while now and it's one of my favorite things to do. I am a realtor and I am able to work from home during the day while clients are working and when I am away it's for only a few hours at a time. I have a fenced yard. Like I said my dog loves social interaction with other friendly doggies and would love to find friends he could play with. I am a real estate agent with my office at home. I will be able to watch over them while they play.
“Andreina & Mercedes were absolutely great and provided 5 star service. Great communication with detailed updates and pictures throughout the stay. Would definitely recommend and book again. Thank you so much!”

“First time ever leaving my dog alone and I’m so happy with how this all turned out and she is an amazing dot sitter. Would definitely use her again if I left my dog alone.”

About: I’ve been in love with animals since I can remember. They are the most pure being on earth. My parents got me a German shepherd before I was even born, and I’ve spent all my life since then adopting dogs and caring for them. I lived in Argentina until I turned 19, I had 3 dogs when I was little, I took care of them and played with them every day of their lives until their passing. After that I adopted 3 more dogs and enjoyed every second with them until life said enough. I love having them around me at all times, no matter what I’m doing. I love to make them feel like they are part of my day and of the things that I do. Today, I have a frenchie that I rescued off the streets while I was at work. I took him to the vet every week for two months to make sure he was fully healthy. Today he sleeps with me as I’m someone who always sleeps with their dogs. I can adapt to any pet’s personality, I am attentive and patient and I could never ever get mad at an animal. I understand them and I can adapt to them as I know that they all have different personalities since each one of them are special in different ways. I am comfortable with pets of all sizes and temperaments. My schedule is highly flexible right now, so I can easily accommodate short-notice bookings, weekdays or weekends, whatever works best for your pet’s daily routine and needs. I like to stay close to the dogs I care for at all times. Of course I take them out for walks, but when we’re at home I stay right there with them, keeping them company and playing with them so they never feel alone and because I love it. I also follow any house rules the owner sets, like rooms or areas that are off limits, in case that is what they want that. But I love having them around me so I will spend my time where they are. I’m also happy to just lie down with them, giving them attention and affection, and I like to think they can feel how much I love them.
“Vanessa took great care of my two high maintenance kitties which included following some very specific instructions! She communicated with me constantly and asked questions if something wasn't clear to make sure everything went well while I was away. I would definitely recommend her and have already booked for future house/pet sitting!”

“My only regret is that I can only leave five stars. The experience was outstanding from beginning to end. All my expectations were blown away. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy our vacation and taking care of our pets while we were gone.”

“This was my first time using River to house sit my 5 fur babies. I was scared to try it out and to trust someone who I didn't know but Ernesto was such a nice and genuine person not only to me and my family but to all my Doggies as well. He naturally has an aura to animals, and they loved him since day one. Ernesto knew it was my birthday and left me a beautiful detail on the table for me to see when I came back from my trip. Thank you Ernesto for all the love, communication, videos and photos of the doggies throughout the day and giving me peace of mind while I was away.”

“Charlene was wonderful with our animals and sent plenty of pictures and updates during her stay. She was quick to reply to my messages, offered to meet up a couple times before the stay to make sure all the animals were comfortable with her, and she made sure our house was cleaned up before we got home, as if we had never left! I will definitely recommend Charlene for anyone who needs a pet sitter!”

Rhokia was a wonderful dog sitter who took amazing care of my very attached Cavalier, Jax, while I was away on a work trip. Each day, she sent detailed updates about their walks and excursions, along with photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She even brought him toys! She made sure he was well-fed, gave him treats and plenty of affection, and most importantly, truly cared for and loved him while I was away. She was also a respectful guest in my home and left everything just as she found it—clean and organized. I can’t say enough great things about Rhokia and the exceptional care she provides. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter.

Our dear Norman was taken care of in our home for the day and Jasmine and Manuela did a wonderful job. Followed all instructions and were very careful with him. He is a special needs dog so we were worried but all was well when we got home! We are glad we put our trusting in them and intend on hiring them again. Thank you ladies for your care.

We couldn’t be happier with the amazing care our 2 dogs received! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brianna stayed in our home and cared for our fur babies while we were out of town for 4 days. She came for a meet-and-greet prior to our trip, and from the moment we met, we (and the pups) felt completely at ease. She treated our pups like family—lots of playtime & cuddles, —and kept our home spotless and peaceful. The updates and photos she sent each day were such a comfort and let us see just how relaxed and happy our dogs were. We were able to enjoy our trip thanks to the peace of mind that our dogs were in her loving and capable hands. We are booking with her again to stay during an upcoming trip! We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind-hearted, and reliable sitter. 💕🐾

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Pembroke Pines on Rover is $39.45 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 4,404 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pembroke Pines. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pembroke Pines walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pembroke Pines maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pembroke Pines choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
