“Jessica is so caring about Tashi (and takes wonderful daily photos of him!) and easy to work with. She's responsive to all my messages and the way she cares for Tashi shows through. I have no reservations about leaving my pet in her care, which definitely makes it that much easier when I have to be away. Highly recommended!”

“Vanessa’s level of care and thoughtfulness she provided was like nothing I’ve experienced on Rover before. The organization, the communication, the updates - it went above and beyond each time. Our two boys looked so happy and loved with her. HIGHLY recommend and will absolutely ask her again to stay with Ghost and Rooster in the future. 10/10”

About: $$$$ >>>>I can give you $20 OFF your first booking $$$$$ send me a message to ask me how <<<<<<<< . These are the reasons why you should book with me: 1) I am a very patient and calm person, very emotionally controlled. With me, you can have peace of mind that your baby is being very well treated, no matter what. I do not believe in physically correcting or punishing dogs. 2) I am a very honest person that doesn’t negotiate values and moral. I will always respect you, your home, your pet and follow your instructions thoroughly. 3) I LOVE being around cats and dogs. This is not a job for me, it is more like a hobby, honestly. Your pet will receive a lot of cuddles and kisses (if they like it). I guarantee you and your furbaby will love me! I work from home for my own business so my schedule is 100% flexible, I choose the time I start and finish working everyday based on my client’s dog’s needs. I do not have a fenced yard but I have a big front yard and can take your dog on leash for bathroom breaks. I will always be around and careful with what I have in the house that could cause them harm.

“Arial was Amazing! If I could give her 10 stars I would. She goes above and beyond when taking care of your lil fur baby. My pup has chronic allergies and requires a special diet plus daily medication and Arial did a great job catering to my pups needs. She followed all instructions carefully and went beyond my expectations. Arial has great communication and provided me with picture updates throughout the day everyday. If I ever needed to get ahold of her she was quick to respond or answer my call. She even went out of her way to clean my house leaving it spotless and looking better than it did before I left. 10/10 recommend booking with Arial.”
“Alaina was professional, responsible and my pets all loved her. She even went above and beyond when an unanticipated, difficult situation arose. I would recommend her with confidence.”

I can do anything from long term set schedules to last minute calls. I will gladly do at home stays. My place is too small to take in anymore fur babies, but I will be happy to do overnight stays in your home while you are away.
“This was the first time that I trusted my cats to be taken care of by anyone other than my family, and in the future Allison will be my go to person. She is extremely detail oriented, punctual, and caring. I received daily pics/videos and she was very communicative. I look forward to a lasting sitter relationship with her….highly recommend!!!!”

“First time ever leaving my dog alone and I’m so happy with how this all turned out and she is an amazing dot sitter. Would definitely use her again if I left my dog alone.”

“Tetiana was amazing and super caring for our dogs. one of the dogs got pneumonia 2 days before our trip and was it was very hard feeding him his medicine. although challenging Tetiana managed to give him medicine and keep his mood upbeat even while sick. She also was very understanding of our situation as we just moved and had many packed boxes in the house. She would keep us up to date with pictures and videos of our pets and we never felt more relieved. I cannot thank her enough and would definitely recommend her for your pets. She has a hidden talent of calming dog who go crazy once locking eyes with a squirrel, by the time we came back our dog was trained and not pulling. It was absolutely shocking how much calmer he got with Tetiana training in place. ❤️”

About: Hi! My name is Milena, and caring for animals has been part of my life since I was a child. I’ve been around pets since I was 6 months old and have experience with different breeds, including German Shepherds, Chow Chows, Yorkies, Poodles, and Bulldogs. In addition to my personal experience, I have also cared for pets while living in Ireland and New Jersey, helping families with walking, playing, feeding, and giving attention and love to their animals. Due to moving between countries, I couldn’t always have my own dog, so caring for others’ pets became something truly meaningful to me. I currently work as a nanny, taking care of young children, which means responsibility, patience, and trust are a big part of who I am. If families trust me with their children, you can be confident your pet will be in safe, loving hands. I treat every pet like my own — with care, attention, and genuine love. My goal is to make them feel comfortable, happy, and stress-free while you’re away I currently work as a nanny, which has made me very responsible, organized, and attentive. My schedule is flexible, and I can adjust it to your pet’s needs. I’m available on weekdays and weekends, and I always make sure pets get enough attention, walks, and care throughout the day. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your instructions, keep a clean and calm environment, and pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs. I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved, whether in your home or during walks.
About: I am a nurse by day. I have had a dog of my own for the past 14 yrs and would love to help you with yours! I am currently working remote and have most time available in the morning, throughout the afternoon. Flexible if I need to be and am open to same day bookings if you are close enough! I have an apartment, no harmful chemicals or toxic products are present in my space. However, I am currently not offering dog sitting services. Thank you.
About: I'm a big cat mother, but I've had dogs & cats for over 20 years, so I'm exceptionally prepared to take top notch care of your furry friends. On top of playtime and walks, I am familiar with administering oral medications to dogs & cats here and there. I always prioritize safety for pets; I'm aware of what may be dangerous for them to eat, and when dog walking I've always walked with a leash and remain aware of our surroundings and other animals in the vicinity. As of right now, I'm available at just about all times! So if you're in need of someone to take care of your pet, please don't hesitate to reach out. For starters, closed doors are an obvious big priority. When letting a dog into a yard I stay in said yard to keep an eye on them just in case. When walking them, I keep them close on a leash and do not let them socialize with other dogs unless given the go ahead by you in advance - safety is a massive concern! With dogs and cats alike, I can administer oral medicine, as I've had to do it many times over the years. I understand its rarely ever a pleasant experience for the pet, but I remain patient & gentle with them for their well being.

To be around animals is the best thing could happen to me

About: I have been taking care of a neighbor's house with three dogs and one cat and suddenly I realized this can be a job that I'm comfortable in! The cat is a kitten, so I am a little hesitant with cats. (Have never dealt with adult cats) If you leave me instructions everything is good to go! I currently have a lot of free time because of online classes. I have a very flexible schedule, and I am very happy to work with you! :) I have a closed fence and two potty trained dogs. Normally about every 3ish hours I will take the dogs out in the yard. When the dog's kind of tell me through their behavior that they want to go outside I let them. I also take them out on walks so
“I am so grateful with Marina. She came home on time and was so attentive and took care of Candela as she was me. Experienced with elderly and medically compromised dog. She sent pictures and videos so I was informed about my dog at all times. Candela had a stress free time when I was away. ? Thank you, Marina”

“Elizaveta is so sweet. She came right on time, spent time learning Gucci's routine and sent us lots of pictures throughout her stay with Gucci. She provided many updates and followed his routine with precise detail. We will continue using her when we need a sitter for Gucci. We highly recommend Elizaveta!!”

“Chris did a wonderful job sitting for our sweet, nervous Standard. He was so patient and kind with her as this was the first time she’s been left her with others. He provided constant communication/feedback and took some of the best photos I have, to date, of my Pup. My home was left in perfect order and Birdie was completely comfortable upon my return. Would recommend Chris to any of my friends.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hollywood
Wow. We have never used a pet sitter with any of our dogs before, but we had a trip planned and recently rescued a puppy, so we had to leave him for a week. We were so nervous about leaving him with someone, especially being so young. The moment we (and our pup) met Vanessa we felt at ease. Throughout the entire process she was professional, so kind, thoughtful, and loved our puppy as her own. She sent us pictures and videos several times a day, which really put us at ease. When we returned, our puppy was so happy and you could very clearly see how well he was taken care of. We truly cannot say enough positive things about Vanessa and the love and care she provided our puppy. Would HIGHLY recommend her and will definitely be planning trips around her availability in the future! Thank you so much, Vanessa!

Jessica is so caring about Tashi (and takes wonderful daily photos of him!) and easy to work with. She's responsive to all my messages and the way she cares for Tashi shows through. I have no reservations about leaving my pet in her care, which definitely makes it that much easier when I have to be away. Highly recommended!

Aleja has taken care of our dog, Lola, several times while we’ve been away traveling, and every experience has been excellent. She is responsible, trustworthy, and dependable, which gives us complete peace of mind whenever we’re away. She is also incredibly loving and caring with Lola, and it’s clear how much she genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. The best part is that Lola absolutely loves her, which says everything. We highly recommend Aleja and will definitely continue booking her in the future!

Taylor was simply amazing with Mulan. She was kind, attentive, and it was clear how much she truly loves animals. Mulan felt so comfortable with her, which means everything to me. But what made the experience truly special was the beautiful detail at the end—she gave me a collage with photos from the days she spent with Mulan… it honestly made me cry. I wil definitely rebook with her again

10/10 would recommend! Eliza went above and beyond all expectations this weekend for my dog and I. She asked all the right questions prior to her stay which was an immediate green flag. My dog is very cautious and sensitive around new people. Eliza used techniques to familiarize and comfort my dog. I recommend her to anyone, she is professional and her love and knowledge with animals shows in her work. She sent me lots of pics and updates, was flexible when I had to adjust my schedule. So glad I found her!!

Rhokia was a wonderful dog sitter who took amazing care of my very attached Cavalier, Jax, while I was away on a work trip. Each day, she sent detailed updates about their walks and excursions, along with photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She even brought him toys! She made sure he was well-fed, gave him treats and plenty of affection, and most importantly, truly cared for and loved him while I was away. She was also a respectful guest in my home and left everything just as she found it—clean and organized. I can’t say enough great things about Rhokia and the exceptional care she provides. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter.

This was my first time ever leaving my dog with a sitter, and I was honestly very nervous. He sent me so many photos and videos, which made me feel calm and reassured the entire time. I always knew what was going on and that my dog was safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m very grateful for the constant updates and truly appreciate the care and attention he gave. Highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Hollywood on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 4,428 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hollywood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hollywood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hollywood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hollywood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hollywood. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
