“Audrey did a great job caring for our Great Dane for almost two weeks while we were away (stayed in our home w/the dog). Routinely updated and sent photos; didn’t hesitate to ask questions or request clarifications on food/activities/routine; and, probably the best feedback anyone could want, our neighbors asked for her contact info so they could hire her, too. Will book again and highly recommend.”

She took excellent care of our pets during the holidays, followed all instructions carefully, and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our dog and cats were clearly comfortable and well cared for, and she was very attentive to their needs. On top of that, she kept our home very clean and tidy, which we truly appreciated. Marina is responsible, thoughtful, and clearly loves animals. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, so caring for animals has always been a huge part of who I am. From a young age, I’ve been responsible for feeding, walking, playing with, bathing, and giving my dogs the love and attention they need. I’ve always formed incredibly strong bonds with my pets and genuinely see them as members of the family. More recently, I rescued a French Bulldog who has become my absolute best friend. She has taught me even more about being patient, attentive, and understanding of a dog’s individual personality, needs, and routines. I’m someone who pays close attention to the little things—whether your pet is feeling nervous, needs extra cuddles, has lots of energy, or simply wants someone to keep them company. When your pet is in my care, I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re being treated with the same love, patience, and care I give my own dog. 🐾❤️ My schedule is flexible, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I’m very reliable and will always make sure your pet’s routine is followed as closely as possible. I’m also happy to provide regular updates, photos, and lots of love along the way! 🐾❤️ My goal is to make your time away stress-free while keeping your pet happy, comfortable, and cared for. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. 🐾 I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, preferences, and any special instructions before caring for them. I make sure they’re in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed and loved. I’m especially mindful of doors, gates, leashes, food, medications, and anything else that could affect your pet’s safety. I also understand that every pet is different, so I never force interaction and always give them time to feel comfortable with me. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your fur baby is doing. My goal is for you to feel completely confident and at ease knowing your pet is being cared for like family. ❤️🐶

About: I’m new to professional dog sitting, but I’m extremely responsible, detail-oriented, and committed to following care instructions exactly as requested. I understand how important routines, safety, and clear communication are when caring for someone else’s pet. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, leashed walks, basic care, and providing calm companionship. I take this responsibility seriously and will always prioritize your dog’s comfort and well-being. As an entrepreneur with a flexible schedule, pet care fits seamlessly into my routine. I’m home often, work from my phone, and enjoy building calm, consistent days that include walks, check-ins, and quality time with pets. I focus on caring for pets in their own home, where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow routines closely and treat each home with care and respect.

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a golden retriever, and my Australian shepherd was my best friend from the time I was 21 until I recently lost him. I've spent a lot of time around high-energy dogs like Aussies and doodles, I helped raise and train a hyper little mini doodle for a friend, walking him, teaching him tricks, and potty training him every day. I've also watched my neighbors dogs for long hours while they were at work, so I'm used to dogs who need company through the day. And I know what it's like to care for a dog that's slowing down. My Aussie had Degenerative Myelopathy and dementia toward the end, so I have real patience and experience with senior dogs who need extra help getting around. Whether your dog wants a long walk or run or just gentle, patient attention, I'll take good care of them. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to give your dog attention throughout the day. I'm available daily or on weekends: morning, night, or anytime during the day. In my home: I live in a second-floor apartment with a quick, easy exit to outside. There's a huge lawn and walking area right nearby, so getting your dog out for potty breaks and walks is simple. Inside, I keep toys on hand, always have fresh water and food available, and the apartment stays cool and comfortable with AC. In your home: I'll respect your space and stick to your dog's normal routine feeding, walks, playtime, and potty breaks on their usual schedule. I'm happy to follow any house rules or instructions you leave, keep things tidy, and make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own environment.
About: I've been taking care of dogs for friends, family, and myself since I was 13. I've had rescues, older dogs, dogs with separation anxiety, and puppies. I've done basic obedience training and potty training with small and medium sized dogs and I've also taken care of older foster dogs I'm currently in between jobs so I have plenty of free time to watch and play with your furry family. I'm home full time 7 days a week and I live with my two retired parents I have a fenced backyard so they can run and play to their hearts content without any outside worries. I don't currently have animals of my own. I have no problem with crating a dog if requested, but I prefer to let them roam and be in the same room as them to watch over and play with.
The median cost per night for house sitting in Pembroke Park is $50
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pembroke Park
Megan and Trevor went above and beyond when caring for our 14 yo Shorkie Teddy! This was our first time using Rover and someone outside of family. I couldn’t have felt more comfortable on vacation knowing he was receiving the best care. They sent frequent updates and pictures that melted my heart. I highly recommend them and will no doubt use them again.

Jessica is so caring about Tashi (and takes wonderful daily photos of him!) and easy to work with. She's responsive to all my messages and the way she cares for Tashi shows through. I have no reservations about leaving my pet in her care, which definitely makes it that much easier when I have to be away. Highly recommended!

Taylor was simply amazing with Mulan. She was kind, attentive, and it was clear how much she truly loves animals. Mulan felt so comfortable with her, which means everything to me. But what made the experience truly special was the beautiful detail at the end—she gave me a collage with photos from the days she spent with Mulan… it honestly made me cry. I wil definitely rebook with her again

Izzy watched our senior cat, dog & frog for a week and was amazing! Highly recommend her to everyone. She sent daily pictures and even took our pup to the beach and on different adventures. They all loved their time with her so much and my wife and I fully trust her! It’s never easy letting someone new into your home but she was the perfect fit. Thank you Izzy! 10/10 experience

10/10 would recommend! Eliza went above and beyond all expectations this weekend for my dog and I. She asked all the right questions prior to her stay which was an immediate green flag. My dog is very cautious and sensitive around new people. Eliza used techniques to familiarize and comfort my dog. I recommend her to anyone, she is professional and her love and knowledge with animals shows in her work. She sent me lots of pics and updates, was flexible when I had to adjust my schedule. So glad I found her!!

We had an excellent experience with Diana. She was punctual, and so sweet. She stayed in our home for several hours, and we felt completely comfortable having her in our home. Our dog usually doesn't engage immediately but she was truly patient and understanding. We will absolutely book her again, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pembroke Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pembroke Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pembroke Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pembroke Park. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
