“Vanessa’s level of care and thoughtfulness she provided was like nothing I’ve experienced on Rover before. The organization, the communication, the updates - it went above and beyond each time. Our two boys looked so happy and loved with her. HIGHLY recommend and will absolutely ask her again to stay with Ghost and Rooster in the future. 10/10”

“Gabriella was amazing. Fun, kind, and Milo loved her. She helped take care of our baby on our wedding day, even came to the venue to take pictures with him and drove him back! Thank you!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 12. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. We've plenty of time to play with your pups! It is important for us to know whether your pet gets along with other dogs and is friendly with kids. We would also want to know if your pet has a tendency to dig or chew on furniture or shoes so we can make the necessary accomodations. Also it’s important to know if your pet has any preexisting medical conditions and/or requires any medication or supplements to be administered We have a fenced in front and backyard. However, dogs are allowed both inside and outside our home. We also believe in taking dogs on multiple walks a day to give them the exercise they need.
“Audrey is a great sitter for my cats. She even took care of my tanks too. My cats are safe and happy. I got informed everyday and never got worried for my babies. I will definetly book her again”

“I am so thrilled that Rho took care of Mr.Jake Nibbles, Panther and Stella. My husband's boat didn't sail so I only had her for a couple of days, but she stayed with Jake when it was thundering all night. She's kind and considerate and my dogs really enjoyed having her around. I wish she would have had them for the scheduled 2 weeks, but she did a great job. I would highly recommend her!!!”

“Stella was phenomenal. I needed her last minute and she was available! Came over to meet the dogs, then was on time and hanging out with them the entire time I needed her there. Sent pictures, was very responsive, and left the house in perfect condition. I will definitely use her again. Thanks again!”

“I am so grateful with Marina. She came home on time and was so attentive and took care of Candela as she was me. Experienced with elderly and medically compromised dog. She sent pictures and videos so I was informed about my dog at all times. Candela had a stress free time when I was away. ? Thank you, Marina”

I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, leashed walks, basic care, and providing calm companionship. I take this responsibility seriously and will always prioritize your dog’s comfort and well-being. As an entrepreneur with a flexible schedule, pet care fits seamlessly into my routine. About: I’ve been caring for dogs every since I was young. I love playing with them, walking, and making sure they get fed well. I can give oral medication as well if needed. I will care for yours like I care for my own. My schedule is very flexible. I’m experienced with taking care of small dogs and big dogs alike. Im also a big cat lover! I can do anything from long term set schedules to last minute calls. I will gladly do at home stays. My place is too small to take in anymore fur babies, but I will be happy to do overnight stays in your home while you are away.
“This was my first time using River to house sit my 5 fur babies. I was scared to try it out and to trust someone who I didn't know but Ernesto was such a nice and genuine person not only to me and my family but to all my Doggies as well. He naturally has an aura to animals, and they loved him since day one. Ernesto knew it was my birthday and left me a beautiful detail on the table for me to see when I came back from my trip. Thank you Ernesto for all the love, communication, videos and photos of the doggies throughout the day and giving me peace of mind while I was away.”

“We were able to schedule with Arial last-minute for a week-long house sitting. We have an elderly dog and a highly anxious dog that both have medical problems requiring multiple medications. Not only did Arial take this information in stride, but the dogs took to her immediately! This rarely happens with our anxious dog. We already felt relieved by this, but even more so by the frequent updates she provided us throughout the week. We came home to a house that was just as we left it (if not, more clean!). We plan to book with Arial in the future”

“Sarah and her partner Embry really came to our rescue when our original house sitter bailed halfway through our time away. We reached out to them day-of with an urgent request for a new house sitter and they were very responsive and understanding of our situation and so patient as we worked together to coordinate a remote handoff of our spare key and house/pet care instructions. Even though they were just finishing a stay with an existing client, they came over as fast as they could and went above and beyond with their care. They checked in often (which was so appreciated since we were abroad and scrambling to make sure everything at home was ok), followed our pet care instructions to a tee, and even took the time to do some cleaning/laundry which we were not expecting but were so thankful for. Connecting with Sarah and Embry turned a stressful situation into a positive experience and we're happy to have met such reliable and caring sitters! We will definitely be reaching out to them for help again in the future.”

“Denys took amazing care of our dog Rocky while we were away. He was reliable, caring, and kept us at ease knowing Rocky was in great hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog. Highly recommend!”

About: I am full time at home. I grew up with dogs, macaws, parakeets, rabbits, and tortoises. Each animal has its own unique personality just like us humans and I find that fascinating. I have taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was very young. I would love to spend time with your paw babies. **If you have a high energy pup I can run with your dog** Being home full time, allows me to give your pet all the attention they deserve and need while they are in my care. Having plenty of time and flexibility allows me to give them company, playtime and walks with them. I'm available for boarding on weekdays and weekends. I have a fenced yard and two dog parks within a 2 minute walk. As well many grassy areas for them to walk comfortably. I have plenty of indoor space for your pets bedding or crate if needed as well.
About: My name is Josh, and I can’t wait to meet your dogs! 🐾 I’m 37 years old and recently moved back to South Florida from Alaska to help care for family. I grew up with dogs and started dog-sitting for my neighbors when I was just 7 years old. Over the years, I’ve had experience with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and breeds. I also have experience caring for special-needs animals and administering various types of medications. Most recently, I’ve been dog-sitting and walking dogs throughout the Boynton Beach and Hollywood areas through Wag!, Rover, and word of mouth for the past year. I truly love all dogs and have a 5-year-old, super-friendly mini Goldendoodle of my own named Goose Berry, who lives with me and my wife. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member, and I’ll treat your dog with the same care and attention I give my own. Feel free to message me with any questions—I’d love to meet you and your pup! 🐶 I currently work from home and can be fully attentive to your pups all day. My wife and I have a mini golden-doodle together that can be a new friend to your pup or we can keep them separate based on your needs. I live in a spacious 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment on the second floor. Our home is located just 5 minutes from a dog park, making it easy to provide plenty of opportunities for exercise, playtime, and fresh air.
About: I have a genuine, deep love for all pets in this world… mine have been the most important part of my life. When my baby kitty Lenny crossed the heavenly rainbow bridge last year, Gideon and Einstein rescued me. My focus is specific and consistent: “What does your best friend need? How can I provide this need to them? Is the environment low stress? Your fur babies are so important to me because I truly understand how important they are to YOU. Having no human children myself, believe me, fur babies are EVERYTHING! I put my absolute best effort into making sure your pet feels safe and experiences the least amount of anxiety as possible. I also assist with Senior day care cleaning, shopping etc. References upon request if needed. I am available to work five days a week and weekends if necessary. I’m grateful to have a flexible schedule; I’ve earned the trust to have access into peoples’ homes to care for their animals. I treat every single animal and pet as if they were my own. I make sure to have every day fulfilled with at least a little bit of furry affection or my day just isn’t the same! I have a pet-friendly, pet-safe, pet-happy home! Making sure all the fur babies in my home have what they need is “what I DO!” My sweet cat Gideon couldn’t get more nurturing! He’s very healthy, independent and gentle with his guests”! My philosophy with my home and my animals is: When in MY care, your baby’s safety, good health, and comfort is guaranteed in the anxiety-free environment I provide. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pembroke Park
Wow. We have never used a pet sitter with any of our dogs before, but we had a trip planned and recently rescued a puppy, so we had to leave him for a week. We were so nervous about leaving him with someone, especially being so young. The moment we (and our pup) met Vanessa we felt at ease. Throughout the entire process she was professional, so kind, thoughtful, and loved our puppy as her own. She sent us pictures and videos several times a day, which really put us at ease. When we returned, our puppy was so happy and you could very clearly see how well he was taken care of. We truly cannot say enough positive things about Vanessa and the love and care she provided our puppy. Would HIGHLY recommend her and will definitely be planning trips around her availability in the future! Thank you so much, Vanessa!

Jessica is so caring about Tashi (and takes wonderful daily photos of him!) and easy to work with. She's responsive to all my messages and the way she cares for Tashi shows through. I have no reservations about leaving my pet in her care, which definitely makes it that much easier when I have to be away. Highly recommended!

This was my first time using River to house sit my 5 fur babies. Thank you Ernesto for all the love, communication, videos and photos of the doggies throughout the day and giving me peace of mind while I was away.

Taylor was simply amazing with Mulan. She was kind, attentive, and it was clear how much she truly loves animals. Mulan felt so comfortable with her, which means everything to me. But what made the experience truly special was the beautiful detail at the end—she gave me a collage with photos from the days she spent with Mulan… it honestly made me cry. I wil definitely rebook with her again

Sarah was very responsive to my queries and provided frequent updates and photos of Tashi, which made me feel more comfortable leaving my fur child for an extended period of time. We did have one hiccup where I wasn't able to get in touch with her for a day, but Tashi was fine and all was well.

Izzy watched our senior cat, dog & frog for a week and was amazing! Highly recommend her to everyone. She sent daily pictures and even took our pup to the beach and on different adventures. They all loved their time with her so much and my wife and I fully trust her! It’s never easy letting someone new into your home but she was the perfect fit. Thank you Izzy! 10/10 experience

10/10 would recommend! Eliza went above and beyond all expectations this weekend for my dog and I. She asked all the right questions prior to her stay which was an immediate green flag. My dog is very cautious and sensitive around new people. Eliza used techniques to familiarize and comfort my dog. I recommend her to anyone, she is professional and her love and knowledge with animals shows in her work. She sent me lots of pics and updates, was flexible when I had to adjust my schedule. So glad I found her!!

We had an excellent experience with Diana. She was punctual, and so sweet. She stayed in our home for several hours, and we felt completely comfortable having her in our home. Our dog usually doesn't engage immediately but she was truly patient and understanding. We will absolutely book her again, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.

Rhokia was a wonderful dog sitter who took amazing care of my very attached Cavalier, Jax, while I was away on a work trip. Each day, she sent detailed updates about their walks and excursions, along with photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She even brought him toys! She made sure he was well-fed, gave him treats and plenty of affection, and most importantly, truly cared for and loved him while I was away. She was also a respectful guest in my home and left everything just as she found it—clean and organized. I can’t say enough great things about Rhokia and the exceptional care she provides. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter.

This was my first time ever leaving my dog with a sitter, and I was honestly very nervous. He sent me so many photos and videos, which made me feel calm and reassured the entire time. I always knew what was going on and that my dog was safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m very grateful for the constant updates and truly appreciate the care and attention he gave. Highly recommend.

As of July 2026, there are 4,453 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pembroke Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pembroke Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pembroke Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pembroke Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pembroke Park. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
