“My pup was very happy when i picked him up and seemed to have enjoyed his stay with Amy. She kept me updated, and gave me a rundown afterwards. The experience exceeded my expectations.”

“Our 18 month old dog had never stayed with anyone other than my husband and me and had tremendous separation anxiety. Ekaterina communicated with us prior to the first visit in order to be prepared for his needs. She made every effort to comfort our dog on his first stay, keeping him by her side most of the time. She also sent updates and photos. The 2d and 3d visits went very well. She is very caring and gentle and has an excellent manner with animals. We can't wait to have our dog stay with her again-he feels the same way!”

“I had an excellent experience leaving Mila with Gillian. She was very attentive and kept me updated with photos throughout the stay, which gave me great peace of mind. She also took the time to ask about Mila’s preferences and any special instructions, showing how much she truly cares. Gillian is both professional and kind, and I would absolutely trust her again for future care. Highly recommended!”

“I dropped off Rubio for a couple of hours with Sasha and Jessica to help warm him up for longer stays in the future. I could tell that Rubio was very happy and comfortable there. Sasha and Jessica are both so kind and experienced. I’m very grateful for how well they cared for him, and Rubio will definitely be returning for a longer stay soon. Thank you!”

About: I have over 28 years of experience caring for animals and a degree in Biology, which has given me a deeper understanding of animal behavior, health, and well-being. Throughout my life I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, fish, and small pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently have my own dog, cat, birds, and fish, so caring for animals is a natural part of my daily life. I understand that every pet has unique routines and needs, and I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or extra patience, I’ll provide attentive, reliable care as if they were my own. I’m happy to send regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing your pet is in caring hands. I’m self-employed with a flexible schedule and spend a significant part of my workday at home. This means your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will receive plenty of attention, care, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. I understand how important consistency and routine are, and I treat every pet like part of my own family. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I have a secure, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy supervised outdoor time. My home is clean, calm, and pet-friendly. I share my home with a friendly 2-year-old Goldendoodle who loves other dogs, a healthy 15-year-old cat, a parakeet, and two betta fish. I also have two respectful children who have grown up around animals and understand how to be gentle, calm, and kind with animals. Because I care for several different animals every day, I understand the importance of routines, supervision, and creating a safe environment for every pet. I carefully introduce dogs when appropriate, never leave pets unsupervised in the yard, and always follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and special needs. I’ll also provide regular photo and video updates, so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

“Wendy graciously took my chihuahua for the day with little notice. She took the time to send me pics that made me smile at work. She was caring and loving to my pet. She is the first person I will look for when I need doggie daycare again.”

“Sarah was great!! I was nervous about the heat wave and wanted my dog to stay somewhere with AC. I found Sarah pretty last minute, but she was so open to pet sitting! My rescue dog has made incredible progress with her behavior and anxiety, but I am still nervous about leaving her with new people because she takes a while to warm up to people and I know not everyone is okay with that. Sarah totally put my mind at ease and sent me lots of pictures throughout the day. Mattie had a great stay!”

“Paola was great with Betty and Charlie. This is the first time they ever went to doggy daycare. The first day Betty was a little nervous but Charlie looked after her. By the third day both Betty and Charlie were so excited to see Paola when she came to pick them up. I have another day booked for them with Paola. I highly recommend Paola!!”

About: I have taken care of all kinds of dogs since 2009 , i fostered dogs of all ages and sized from petsmart as I grew up. I’m currently working full time but I’m available after 6 Monday through Friday and on the weekends all day. I work from home but I can come to you. I have an open relationship fenced yard due to the fact that I live in an apartment but my apartment is open for all dogs. The pets would still be token outside for play time in the yard but would have to be on a leash.

This was Leo's first time with Amy, and she made us both feel so welcome. She sent photos and updates throughout the day, and at pick-up she gave me a detailed report about how Leo was doing, what he did during the day, and how he was feeling. It was very reassuring and showed how much she genuinely cared about him. Leo is a senior dog, and Amy was very patient and attentive to his needs, which meant a lot to me. I really appreciated her warmth and attention, and I would be happy to have Leo stay with her again.

Paola was great with Betty and Charlie. This is the first time they ever went to doggy daycare. The first day Betty was a little nervous but Charlie looked after her. By the third day both Betty and Charlie were so excited to see Paola when she came to pick them up. I have another day booked for them with Paola. I highly recommend Paola!!

I had a wonderful experience with Diane! She took such great care of my dog and kept me updated with photos, a daily progress video and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. You can tell she genuinely love animals and treats them like family. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

I had an excellent experience leaving Mila with Gillian. She was very attentive and kept me updated with photos throughout the stay, which gave me great peace of mind. She also took the time to ask about Mila’s preferences and any special instructions, showing how much she truly cares. Gillian is both professional and kind, and I would absolutely trust her again for future care. Highly recommended!

This was my first time ever getting a sitter for my dog. He’s only 1½ years old and is used to being with me and our family all the time, so I was naturally a little nervous. From the moment I spoke with Felipe and his wife Laura, I felt completely at ease. They were so kind and welcoming, and they made me feel confident that Zeus would be in great hands. Communication was always clear and open, and they reassured me that he was being well taken care of. They also sent me pictures while he was with them, which meant so much and truly helped me relax. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better sitters. Thank you both for taking such good care of my baby and making him feel safe and comfortable. I would absolutely hire you again to watch Zeus! 🐾💛

Ariana took my cavapoos for the day and was great. She clearly loves dogs, was understanding about my pups' individual needs, and was very open and flexible in terms of scheduling and meeting. We did a meet and greet and a day of daycare and I will call on Ariana again for dog walks and drop in visits.

I was in such a pinch as Leo isn’t allowed on lot of tourist stuff around Miami and also on the hop on hop off bus and I was hoping that my family from out of country don’t miss out on what Miami had to offer . Karen came as a saviour where I could leave Leo behind and I was surprised . The way she took care of Leo kept us updated of his every schedule and even Leo loved staying there. I am going to use her for boarding Leo whenever I am in town . Highly recommended.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hollywood commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
