“Amy was amazing. She clearly loves dogs. Throughout the day, she gave me updates on my sweet puppy. She offered advice with him, since she knows I’ve only had him a few days, and she also offered to help train him. She goes above and beyond and I highly recommend her.”

“Ekaterina was great! My dog loved her and she gave me updates consistently. I have a senior dog and she was gentle with him and always tried to walk him when it wasn’t too hot outside. Gave him his eye drops and fed him and let me know! I will be using her again!”

“Miss Denise is the best thing that’s ever happened to us! My dog is finicky and they bonded since day 1. True romance! I trust her wholeheartedly. Nice long walks and lots of TLC and picture updates. We couldnt ask for anything more, we are blessed to have her in our lives.”

“Andrea was amazing! This was our first time using Rover and it exceeded our expectations! Our dog is very anxious, nervous l, and particular about who he stays with, so we were hesitant to leave him with someone he wasn’t familiar with. Andrea offered to meet him before which was great! When we left him with Andrea for a few days, he warmed up to her quickly! She sent us pictures throughout his stay and kept us informed. We will definitely be leaving our dog with Andrea again. She was wonderful!”

“Paola was great with Betty and Charlie. This is the first time they ever went to doggy daycare. The first day Betty was a little nervous but Charlie looked after her. By the third day both Betty and Charlie were so excited to see Paola when she came to pick them up. I have another day booked for them with Paola. I highly recommend Paola!!”

“I was in such a pinch as Leo isn’t allowed on lot of tourist stuff around Miami and also on the hop on hop off bus and I was hoping that my family from out of country don’t miss out on what Miami had to offer . Karen came as a saviour where I could leave Leo behind and I was surprised . The way she took care of Leo kept us updated of his every schedule and even Leo loved staying there. I am going to use her for boarding Leo whenever I am in town . Highly recommended.”

“This was our first day care visit with Gillian. We were able to do a Meet & Greet prior to make sure both dogs and people were comfortable. Gillian has a beautiful home and very safe and dog friendly. She provided pictures of their day together and was able to do two walks(!). Monty came home happy and tired…he ate all his dinner with no belly issues. We have already booked our next stay. Gillian has our highest recommendation! We are very thankful that we found her.”

“So if he had another amazing visit with Alex and her family. We received photos and videos, and they took her out for several walks. We recommend them to anybody and their fur babies.❤️”

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life – my family has had them for as long as I can remember. Caring for them is not just a responsibility for me, it’s something I truly enjoy. I love going for walks, feeding, playing, and paying attention to all the little details that make a dog feel loved and happy. I connect easily with dogs of all personalities and temperaments, always respecting their habits and needs. Safety, care, and comfort are my top priorities, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. My work schedule is flexible – some days I work mornings until early afternoon, and other days I work afternoons until the evening. This allows me to adjust pet care to fit your dog’s needs and routine. During my free hours, I dedicate my time fully to walking, playing with, and caring for dogs. My husband, who works a regular 9–6 schedule, is also happy to help when needed. This means your dog will always be in loving and attentive hands. When dogs stay at my home, I create a cozy and safe environment for them. I strictly follow all instructions from their owners regarding feeding, routines, walks, and any specific habits. Any suggestions I make are always discussed and approved by the owner to ensure their wishes are respected. My goal is for each dog to feel completely at home – calm, happy, and safe.

10/10 experience! Jimena took amazing care of Manolo and treated him like her own. She was extremely responsive from the very beginning and provided timely updates throughout his entire stay, which gave us total peace of mind. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and highly recommend her!

I had an excellent experience leaving Mila with Gillian. She was very attentive and kept me updated with photos throughout the stay, which gave me great peace of mind. She also took the time to ask about Mila’s preferences and any special instructions, showing how much she truly cares. Gillian is both professional and kind, and I would absolutely trust her again for future care. Highly recommended!

Ariana took my cavapoos for the day and was great. She clearly loves dogs, was understanding about my pups' individual needs, and was very open and flexible in terms of scheduling and meeting. We did a meet and greet and a day of daycare and I will call on Ariana again for dog walks and drop in visits.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hallandale Beach commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
