“Andy and his Dad Julio were phenomenal. They gave me updates and my dog got to play with other dogs! They even let him on the couch since he’s hypoallergenic and doesn't shed. They sent pictures and updates. And most importantly tried to keep him as cool as possible in the hot Miami heat. That goes a long way. Definitely recommend. I will be booking again.”

“As a dog mom, we get very nervous about leaving our doggy babies. Today, I was fortunate to meet Xavier and his mom and they were a joy. Milo was a little timid at first but once he saw Xavier’s mom he was mushy. They kept me updated with pictures and communication was great. I’m very happy with the service we received and comfortable with letting Milo stay with them again.”

“María Gabriela went above and beyond with my pup Lucas! She even picked up Lucas from campus after me and my family took our grad pics. Lucas looked so relaxed and at ease with Maria Gabriela. I definitely recommend her to watch your fur babies ?”

“Honestly couldn’t ask for a better sitter. She takes such good care of my puppy and I can tell he’s happy and comfortable with her. It makes leaving him so much less stressful knowing he’s in good hands. Super grateful we found her 🤍”

“This was my first time leaving my dog so I was a bit nervous. Julie sent me regular photo updates and spoiled her rotten. When I came to pick her up, my dog had no desire to leave!! Julie is very evidently a huge animal lover and very caring. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!”

“I could tell my shy, sweet girl really enjoyed her time at Penelope's house. The pictures she sent of my girl smiling while being with the other dogs, really assured me I picked the perfect sitter. Penelope is dope 😊. Her house & yard were perfect and exactly what my girl needed. Maggie slept so soundly, like she had worked a 13hr shift. We will definitely book with her again & again.”

“Sarah and Embryl minimized our anxiety and made us felt at ease with our first experience leaving our sibling pupply labradoodles in a doggy day care. Appreciated the thorough and detailed updates and photos throughout the day. We are definitely leaving our puppies with Sarah’s care.”

About: I have pets of my own and know how important it is to find someone to care for them when we have to travel or have busy schedules. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family throughout the years and enjoy it very much! My daughter loves to help out and is also a volunteer at a vet clinic twice a week. We will care for your furbabies just as if they were our own. I work from home therefore I have a flexible schedule and am home most of the time. This allows me to be available to dedicate my time to your pet! Everyone in my home loves animals and see them as part of the family. I have a friendly dog and cat who get along well with other animals. I have a fenced yard with plenty of space. I also live a walking distance from 2 parks where I like to take my dog for walks and to get some exercise. I will make sure to follow any meal and walking schedules as requested. I make sure to give them a comfortable place to relax and rest, and also to take time in the day to pet and play with them. If we visit your home, we will make sure to follow any specific instructions for feeding, walking, or playing with your pet. My goal is to help them feel safe and comfortable when I am caring for them.
“Paola was great with Betty and Charlie. This is the first time they ever went to doggy daycare. The first day Betty was a little nervous but Charlie looked after her. By the third day both Betty and Charlie were so excited to see Paola when she came to pick them up. I have another day booked for them with Paola. I highly recommend Paola!!”

“Took amazing care of my Toto! Constant updates every few hours with fun pictures and a report on his (great) behavior! Toto really enjoyed his time & even cried a little after I picked him up! They are a loving family and I would definitely make Sebastian Toto’s permanent sitter !”

“Marielys did an amazing job with my baby 🐾🐕 major. She took great care of him. I love that she kept sending pictures updates on how he was doing for the day. I knew my baby had a great time when he didn't want to leave. I will be booking her for my next trips to watch my baby major. She is awesome. Thank you soooo much 😘”

“This was our first day care visit with Gillian. We were able to do a Meet & Greet prior to make sure both dogs and people were comfortable. Gillian has a beautiful home and very safe and dog friendly. She provided pictures of their day together and was able to do two walks(!). Monty came home happy and tired…he ate all his dinner with no belly issues. We have already booked our next stay. Gillian has our highest recommendation! We are very thankful that we found her.”

“Andrea was amazing! This was our first time using Rover and it exceeded our expectations! Our dog is very anxious, nervous l, and particular about who he stays with, so we were hesitant to leave him with someone he wasn’t familiar with. Andrea offered to meet him before which was great! When we left him with Andrea for a few days, he warmed up to her quickly! She sent us pictures throughout his stay and kept us informed. We will definitely be leaving our dog with Andrea again. She was wonderful!”

About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is that i actually love the whole job not only the cute parts. Im patient when it comes to puppies who are still learning and are very playful, gentle with older dogs who need a slower pace, and calm when pets are anxious and shy. Im great at following the routine like giving pets meds and sensing when something is “off”. Basically I treat every pet like theyre my own with lots of love and care. Pet care fits very well into my daily and weekly routine. My schedule is very open, which allows me to provide consistent attention, walks, feeding, and companionship as needed I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved. At my home, I have a friendly cat and a fenced yard where pets can run around and play safely with supervision. I stick to their normal feeding and potty schedules, give them plenty of playtime and attention, and make sure they’re always comfortable. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine closely so pets feel relaxed and at home. I handle feeding, walks, playtime, and basic care as instructed.

Jules had a wonderful time. We were in town and neededa sitter on short notice. Monique accommodated us and we were much appreciative and she sent updates throughout his stay. This was extremely comforting for us since this was our first time using Rover or a sitter for Jules. Will definitely call again if the need arises.

Leaving our boys, Rex and Remington, for the first time was nerve-wracking, but Penelope was absolutely amazing! She sent us tons of pictures and videos throughout the day, and it was clear they were having the best time. She even did a back-to-school photoshoot with them! We were so worried to leave them, but Penelope made us feel so comfortable, and we now feel great about leaving our boys with her. We can't thank her enough!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Andover commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
