Perfect Nanny For Dogs! Full-time

My name is Michelle and my love for animals is what inspired me to enter the wonderful world of pet care. I worked as a vet assistant at an animal hospital for some time and gained a lot of experience that has helped me take care of pets that have special needs. I was born and raised in Florida and studied vet tech in Miami-Dade College so I have a lot of experience and knowledge on pet care and any pet illness or disease. I love what I do and get to apply a lot of the knowledge I learned in school and experience I learned working in a vet clinic into all the pets I take care of especially elderly pets. I do Rover full time so I am dependable and will spend full time with your babies, which is perfect if your pup suffers from anxiety! I have no pets and no children. I have very flexible hours so I can care for your pets according to their schedule. Their routine will become mines! I am originally from the Wag! App and I decided to give Rover a chance! I have been a pet caregiver with Wag! for 6 years now. I have now been doing Rover for almost 4 years. I can’t imagine myself doing anything different. I love what I do so much and that shows in all my reviews and the amazing things my clients have to say about me. I love all the people I’ve met and all the animals I take care of and that special bond I build with your pets and you! I will take the best care of your babies and treat them as my own! I keep your pets routine the same so they stay comfortable and happy while you're away! I have experience taking care of elderly dogs, deaf dogs, blind dogs, diabetic dogs, dogs who are pee pad or diaper trained, have anxiety, especially separation anxiety, and I am experienced in giving any type of medication whether it’s oral, topical, or injections. I am experienced also in taking a dogs blood for glucose levels. I have experience administering any kind of medicine and changing diapers! I am experienced in taking care of farm animals as well, chickens, geese, goats, donkeys, cows, horses and I am able to feed them, clean up after them, and administer medication if needed. I also have experience taking care of smaller pets such as birds, fish, bunnies, turtles, bearded dragons, ect. I am a very patient person when it comes to all animals and I am dedicated to them fully. I love what I do so much it really shows in the way animals are easily drawn to me. Se habla español! I speak some sign language!

Aww Michelle was excellent with my Zoey. My chihuahua is a rescued dog and has separation anxiety but Michelle won her heart. I was very confident that Michelle had the skills to take care of my baby while we went on our cruise vacation for 8 days and she surpassed our expectations. Zoey warmed up to her quickly allowing her to get close and second morning already she was following her everywhere. Michelle is very nice , very loving to pets and has a very calm demeanor. I felt so much confidence with her just talking to her at the meet and greet that I was convinced right away that she was the right person to care for my Zoey. She was continuously updating me with photos, videos, text messages and voice messages about Zoey’s progress even starting from the moment I left her there. She also gave my baby her medications for allergy every day with no problem. Michelle is trained in all skills for this job. She took Zoey on walks continuously. I even thought my Zoey wouldn’t even recognize me when I returned because Michelle gave her so much love and attention and Zoey was always giving her kisses, it was so lovely to see on her videos. I recommend Michelle 1,000% to care for your dogs.

Michelle was on time and stayed the whole time taking care of Ellie to let her out and ensure she went potty. She even filled her water without asking! Thank you so much!

Michelle was so great to work with- communicative, friendly, and our pets loved having her stay for the weekend! She provided detailed daily info about how everything was going, as well as pictures throughout her stay. Michelle handled our senior dog's medications perfectly and ensured he was healthy and well-taken care of the whole time. Our cat also warmed up to her quickly, which isn't always the case. Things couldn't have gone any better and we already rebooked for another stay!

Some important information I need to know ahead of time is if your pet takes any medications, what is their eating/walking schedule, their food portions, and any triggers I should know about when I’m on walks so I can be on the look out. For example, pets that like to eat random things off the floor, pets that get triggered by lizards, squirrels, or other dogs, if they pull on the leash, all this just so I can take extra precautions on the walk !
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
