I’ve spent over 9 years caring for my dog, Frida (since she was a mischievous pup!), and have lovingly looked after the pets of friends, family, and others along the way. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for a range of animals. I guess you could call me a jack-of-all-pets! I’m responsible, reliable, and will treat your pets like they’re my own. Whether it’s belly rubs, a cozy lap, or handling the quirky needs of your feathered or scaly friends, I’ve got you covered. My partner and I went on vacation earlier in the year and were nervous about leaving our beloved Tiny in the hands of another person for the first time. But, Mercedes eased all of our anxieties, helping Tiny stick to her routine and sending us consistent updates on our baby.Tiny is climbing up in age so sometimes she can struggle to make it out of the apartment to use the bathroom. But, Mercedes handled the handful of accidents with patience and understanding. We will absolutely be reaching out to Mercedes again next time we are out of town.
No complaints here! Mercedes took great care of my three cats while I was away. I cannot recommend Mercedes highly enough! She cared for my three cats during a relatively long home visit (about 3 weeks), and her professionalism and care exceeded all expectations. From the start, Mercedes was incredibly respectful of my home, leaving everything spotless and just as she found it. My cats, who can be quite shy around new people, absolutely adored her. She took the time to understand each of their personalities and quirks, ensuring they felt safe and loved. Mercedes took care of my dog, Belle, for over two weeks on last-minute notice. I cannot thank her enough for the amount of care, thoughtfulness, and commitment she showed towards Belle. I called her twice a day to check in (probably more often some days!), and she answered me with kindness every time. She called on FaceTime to show me Belle anytime I asked, and I could tell Belle was as happy as ever in her care. When it was time for Mercedes to go home, Belle didn't want her to leave! I cannot recommend Mercedes enough as your future pet-sitter: she's simply the best!

Schedule
I am a recent Harvard grad and artist alternating a part-time in-person position and a remote job, so I have plenty of time to entertain your pups (or other creatures)! I can swing by for walks, playtime, or daily care if housesitting is not your style.
