“Ryan has now watched my elderly rescue for a few trips I’ve gone on as well as dropped in for day visits and walks. He is extremely professional, attentive, and warm with her and I am so lucky to have someone that I can trust with her care. I recommend Ryan 100000%.”

About: I have cared for lots of different kinds of animals in the past. From puppies, elderly dogs, kittens, and older cats. I have no problem giving them medication or treatments they may need. I work at home so I will be able to walk and spend lots of time with your pet. If you have a set schedule for them I will be able to follow it to a T. I have a fenced in backyard so your dog will be able to run around safely. Also inside my screened area I have a pool, so if they like to swim supervised as well. And for cats that like the fresh outside area the backyard screen provides the perfect space. I have a cat at home but he likes to keep to himself so it’s no problem.
About: I’ve always been surrounded by dogs and cats, and caring for animals has always been something very special to me. I had the privilege of caring for my senior dog until he passed, and that experience taught me patience, compassion, and how to provide extra care for pets who need a little more attention. I also help my roommate with the dogs she cares for, and friends often trust me with their furry family members when they travel. I understand how important it is to have someone reliable, patient, and loving looking after your pets. I’m very intuitive with animals — I pay attention to their personalities, routines, and little details that help them feel safe and comfortable. I treat every pet with cariño, respect, and the same care I would want for my own. 🐾 I work remotely, which allows me to provide reliable pet care throughout the week. I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks, including midday check-ins while you’re away at work, as well as evening walks after 6 PM. My goal is to keep your pets comfortable, happy, and on their normal routine by providing attention, exercise, fresh water, potty breaks, and lots of care while you’re away. 🐶 I always follow the routine their parents already have in place - feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, any special instructions. I keep their space clean, safe and calm 🐶🩵 I can stay in your home when needed, keeping your pets company all day!
“Bridie was amazing. She took care of our little pup like he was her own. They spent the weekend together and he loved her!!!! She was responsive and we would recommend her to anyone that needs a pet sitter!!! 100% recommend”

“I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful dog sitter! My puppy is like my baby, so finding someone I could trust was very important to me. From the moment they met, my pup felt comfortable and even gives her kisses—which says a lot! I feel completely at ease knowing he’s in safe, loving hands. She provides the best quality of care, always sends me pictures, and responds quickly to any messages. I couldn’t ask for more!”

“Shella is wonderful! She took great care of our home and fur babies while we were on vacation! She gave daily updates and plenty of park time for our dog. You can tell she really loves animals. We will definitely book with her again!”

About: I am an animal lover, I was an Adoption Ambassador for the Humane Society of Broward County a few years ago and I really enjoyed fostering dogs and finding them a good home. I keep them clean, well fed and exercised, cuddle and play with them and treat them as part of the family. I participate in many animal rescue events. I am very responsible and give them lots of attention. I had a Corgi (she is the one in the wheelchair), who had degenerative myelopathy and this experience has helped me develop a higher level of care for disabled and sick animals. I do not have children so I love my pets as if they were my children and I will love yours as if they were my own! I am currently working a flexible part time schedule so I fit pet care in very easily. I am only out for a few hours at a time in order to spend time and attention to the pets I have over. I care for all pets as if they were my own. They all get lots of love and attention and I always adhere to the clients wants relating to food, toys, treats, etc.

About: I’ve always had a huge love for animals and have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently volunteer with an animal rescue, where I spend time caring for cats, helping with their daily needs, socializing them, and getting them ready for adoption. 🐾 I also have experience caring for pets in my own home, so I understand how important it is to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while their family is away. I’m patient, responsible, attentive, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or just some company, I’d be happy to give them the care and attention they deserve. 💕🐶🐱 I currently work part-time in the evenings, usually from 4–10 PM, but my work schedule varies from week to week. Because of this, I have good availability during the mornings, afternoons, and on many weekends/days off. I’m happy to work with you in advance to find a time that works best for both you and your pet! I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. 🐾 When caring for a pet in their home, I like to follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any special instructions from their owner. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of attention and enrichment, and a clean and comfortable space. I also understand that every pet has a different personality, so I take the time to let them get comfortable with me and respect their individual boundaries. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐶🐱💕 I myself have two dogs and two cats. I love them so dearly. I grew up with animals, so I hold them close to my heart.
“Rayna is an absolute gem of a pet sitter! We entrusted her with our furry duo, Sparky and Remy, while we set sail on a cruise, and she exceeded all expectations. Not only did she keep us in the loop with regular photo updates, but she also went above and beyond by tending to our fish and eels exactly as we instructed. Her dedication and care were truly phenomenal—our pets adored her! Rayna's attention to detail and genuine love for animals shone through in every interaction. We returned to happy, contented pets, thanks to her exceptional service. If you're seeking a trustworthy and devoted pet sitter who treats your pets like family, Rayna is the one. We wholeheartedly recommend her services and can't thank her enough for the peace of mind she provided while we were away.”

“Stephanie watched on senior german shepherd while we went on vacation this summer. Her care of Leo was nothing short of 5 stars. Her thoughtfulness through her stay and beyond is what truly makes her stand out. Would absolutely have her watch Leo again. He is family and it is so important for us to trust who we leave him with. Happy to say we’ve found just the right person.”

“Mackenzie was WONDERFUL!! Great communication, my dogs seem to love her, and she left my house in fantastic condition ( she stayed over 3 nights ). I’m so happy to have found her, we will definitely use her again ❤️”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for all kinds big, small, shy, and super energetic! I’ve helped friends and family with dog sitting, walks, feedings, and giving meds when needed. What sets me apart is my patience, genuine love for dogs, and attention to detail whether that’s sticking to their routine, keeping their space clean, or making sure they get all the belly rubs and playtime they want. I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! Pet care easily fits into my routine, I plan my day around walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins to make sure pets feel safe and loved. I follow each pet’s routine closely including feeding, walks, play, meds if needed and create a calm, loving environment whether in my home or yours.
About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have two bunnies, an 11-year-old male and a 7-year-old female, as well as a 2-year-old male cat. I consider them my actual children and treat them with an incredible amount of love and care. Because I’m a fur parent myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. I know how much peace of mind comes from knowing that your pets are safe, happy, and in good hands while you’re away. I also regularly care for two dogs for a family friend. One is a senior dog who requires additional support and attention due to medical conditions, including receiving medication throughout the day. The other is an 8-month-old puppy who needs extra supervision, patience, and attention. Caring for them has given me experience with both senior pets who need additional support and young puppies who need more guidance, supervision, and patience. I’m currently attending a professional pet grooming school three days a week during the day. Through my program, I work with many different breeds and personalities and am continually learning how to safely and patiently handle dogs with different temperaments and needs. I also volunteer once a week for three hours during the morning at the Broward County Humane Society, where I help with dog bathing. This experience has helped me become more comfortable working with a variety of dogs and has taught me the importance of patience, communication, safety, and adaptability. If I’m caring for your pet in my home, I have a large fenced-in yard where they can run, play, and enjoy potty breaks. I do have an unenclosed underground pool, so I’m extremely cautious and always supervise pets closely to keep them safe. When caring for pets in their own home, I’m a quick learner and adaptable to their routine and individual needs. I’m comfortable with basic pet care and happy to accommodate special requests with clear instructions. As a fur parent myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. My goal is to provide loving, attentive care and give both you and your pet peace of mind while you’re away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sunrise
First time using Rover and could not have made a better choice by finding Rosa. She was beyond wonderful, felt very comfortable having Rosa stay in our home and care for our dogs. Came home to a clean home and happy pups, they miss her already. Highly recommend and will be booking again for all future travels! A+++

Stephanie went absolutely above and beyond for my dog Nikita. She was incredibly responsive, filled my inbox with pictures, and was very clean when she was boarding my house. You could just tell she cared for Nikita and loves what she does. I have used other pet stores before and she blew everyone out of the water. I will definitely be using her again and I recommend anyone that really cares for their pet do the same.

Nydia responded promptly to my request for dog sitting. She came to meet us right away for a meet and greet . We discussed a schedule and and went over pancakes routines. She came every time she promised she would sent lots of pictures. She put my mind at ease knowing my pancakes was being taking care of well we were out of town. I will be scheduling her again for my next trip out of town.

She is really amazing girl Kiko loves her a lot because when I met him back after one month with the Francesca, he was really good. I feel it that he was treated real good with her. She stayed at my house for one month and when we came back, the house was immaculate clean thank you very much for everything.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Crystal. While I was out for the evening, she went above and beyond to make sure George was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She took him on multiple walks, spent quality time playing with him, and kept me consistently updated on how he was doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear from the moment I got home that George had a wonderful time—he was relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. He truly enjoyed her company and has already made a new friend. I would absolutely trust Crystal again and look forward to having her watch George in the future. Highly recommend!

Lexie was very kind and willing to help us on short notice during an unexpected family emergency, and I really appreciated her flexibility. There were a couple of times when I needed to provide reminders about their established routines, particularly the dogs’ potty schedule, so they didn’t have to go long periods between breaks. However, everything ultimately worked out. My senior dog also has additional medical needs, and she was consistent about making sure he received his medication every morning and night which took a huge weight off my shoulders. She also sent update photos which was appreciated. Overall, I’m grateful she was able to help us during a very challenging week. Thank you, Lexie!

The average cost for House Sitting in Sunrise on Rover is $41.73 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 4,604 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sunrise. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sunrise walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sunrise maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sunrise choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sunrise. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
