About: I’m a veterinary technician with 2 years of experience. I also have a background in wildlife rehabilitation and have furry friends of my own! I’m comfortable reading animal behavior, caring for pets of all ages, including nervous pets, administering medications, and making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll care for your pet like my own and keep you updated with throughout! I’m a university student with a flexible schedule outside of class. I have plenty of time to provide dependable care, whether it’s walks, drop in visits, overnight stays, or weekend care. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, whether that includes walks, playtime, meals, or medications. My goal is to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away.

“Loved the communication we had throughout the day! Always was quick to respond with photos and information. Our pup was happy to be safe at home and Bridget was respectful of our space. We will 100% book her again!”

“Shaneka was wonderful with my pup. She gained her trust quickly, even though she is very skitish. I was surprised at how fast they bonded. I booked her for House/Dog sitting and Shaneka followed all my instructions to the T and I will deffinately be booking again and soon!!!”

“I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful dog sitter! My puppy is like my baby, so finding someone I could trust was very important to me. From the moment they met, my pup felt comfortable and even gives her kisses—which says a lot! I feel completely at ease knowing he’s in safe, loving hands. She provides the best quality of care, always sends me pictures, and responds quickly to any messages. I couldn’t ask for more!”

“Ryan has now watched my elderly rescue for a few trips I’ve gone on as well as dropped in for day visits and walks. He is extremely professional, attentive, and warm with her and I am so lucky to have someone that I can trust with her care. I recommend Ryan 100000%.”

About: I’ve always had a huge love for animals and have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently volunteer with an animal rescue, where I spend time caring for cats, helping with their daily needs, socializing them, and getting them ready for adoption. 🐾 I also have experience caring for pets in my own home, so I understand how important it is to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while their family is away. I’m patient, responsible, attentive, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or just some company, I’d be happy to give them the care and attention they deserve. 💕🐶🐱 I currently work part-time in the evenings, usually from 4–10 PM, but my work schedule varies from week to week. Because of this, I have good availability during the mornings, afternoons, and on many weekends/days off. I’m happy to work with you in advance to find a time that works best for both you and your pet! I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. 🐾 When caring for a pet in their home, I like to follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any special instructions from their owner. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of attention and enrichment, and a clean and comfortable space. I also understand that every pet has a different personality, so I take the time to let them get comfortable with me and respect their individual boundaries. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐶🐱💕 I myself have two dogs and two cats. I love them so dearly. I grew up with animals, so I hold them close to my heart.
“Rose is a wonderful and trustworthy young lady. She was gentle and sensitive to my Lollipop’s needs and routines. We texted daily and provided pictures of their walks. Our final communication( she left my house before I came home), Rose left me a beautiful note summing up her day with Lolli. Besides all that… she left me with a clean and organized home; I greatly appreciated that! I certainly will be calling on her again!!”

About: I have cared for lots of different kinds of animals in the past. From puppies, elderly dogs, kittens, and older cats. I have no problem giving them medication or treatments they may need. I work at home so I will be able to walk and spend lots of time with your pet. If you have a set schedule for them I will be able to follow it to a T. I have a fenced in backyard so your dog will be able to run around safely. Also inside my screened area I have a pool, so if they like to swim supervised as well. And for cats that like the fresh outside area the backyard screen provides the perfect space. I have a cat at home but he likes to keep to himself so it’s no problem.
About: I’ve always been surrounded by dogs and cats, and caring for animals has always been something very special to me. I had the privilege of caring for my senior dog until he passed, and that experience taught me patience, compassion, and how to provide extra care for pets who need a little more attention. I also help my roommate with the dogs she cares for, and friends often trust me with their furry family members when they travel. I understand how important it is to have someone reliable, patient, and loving looking after your pets. I’m very intuitive with animals — I pay attention to their personalities, routines, and little details that help them feel safe and comfortable. I treat every pet with cariño, respect, and the same care I would want for my own. 🐾 I work remotely, which allows me to provide reliable pet care throughout the week. I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks, including midday check-ins while you’re away at work, as well as evening walks after 6 PM. My goal is to keep your pets comfortable, happy, and on their normal routine by providing attention, exercise, fresh water, potty breaks, and lots of care while you’re away. 🐶 I always follow the routine their parents already have in place - feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, any special instructions. I keep their space clean, safe and calm 🐶🩵 I can stay in your home when needed, keeping your pets company all day!
“Nydia responded promptly to my request for dog sitting. She came to meet us right away for a meet and greet . We discussed a schedule and and went over pancakes routines. She came every time she promised she would sent lots of pictures. She put my mind at ease knowing my pancakes was being taking care of well we were out of town. I will be scheduling her again for my next trip out of town.”

About: I’ve been watching animals my whole life, but more specifically my own pets for the past six years I have two cats and I previously had two dogs as well that got to a very elderly age, very healthy and happy until the moment they unfortunately passed. I have also Volunteered and worked for animal care and hospitality in the past including a cat cafe and a wildlife center. I’m currently in between moving spots and staying with my parents so I have a lot of free time to play plenty with your lovely pets:) I have two cats and I’ve had a few dogs when growing up so I’m very familiar with different types of animals. I’ve also worked an animal care industry for a few years as a volunteer and I love all different types of animals. I know how to properly care for your individual pet.
“Julissa was an amazing sitter and watched our babies over the holidays! She was great with communication and made sure that all their needs were met during the stay! Highly recommend her! ❤️”

“I only needed a sitter for one night, but I was so happy with how Tazzy was when I got home! Tazzy is an anxious pup and can be a little particular about new people and changes to his routine, so I’m always a little nervous leaving him with someone new. When I came home, though, he was completely himself—happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. You could definitely tell he got plenty of attention and cuddles while I was gone. 🥰 Everything at home was just as I left it, communication was great, and most importantly, I came home to a happy Tazzy. That’s really the best review I can give a sitter! I would absolutely feel comfortable having her watch him again.”

About: I am an animal lover, I was an Adoption Ambassador for the Humane Society of Broward County a few years ago and I really enjoyed fostering dogs and finding them a good home. I keep them clean, well fed and exercised, cuddle and play with them and treat them as part of the family. I participate in many animal rescue events. I am very responsible and give them lots of attention. I had a Corgi (she is the one in the wheelchair), who had degenerative myelopathy and this experience has helped me develop a higher level of care for disabled and sick animals. I do not have children so I love my pets as if they were my children and I will love yours as if they were my own! I am currently working a flexible part time schedule so I fit pet care in very easily. I am only out for a few hours at a time in order to spend time and attention to the pets I have over. I care for all pets as if they were my own. They all get lots of love and attention and I always adhere to the clients wants relating to food, toys, treats, etc.

Amber is an absolute angel! At our initial meet and greet, she put me and my animals so at ease that I felt completely confident that she would be a perfect fit. Our first booking went as smoothly as expected and, for the first time, I didn’t find myself worrying about my animals while I was away. She followed the care notes, sent pics, and kept me apprised of all pertinent details. I was so pleased with the experience, I’ve already booked her for another upcoming trip and I’ve no doubt my animals will be super happy to see her again.😊

We used Ashley for an extended vacation that we took that we were able to have a relaxing trip knowing that Bailey was in great hands. Bailey loved Ashley from the moment she met her as she is a very shy and cautious girl initially. Ashley had the patience and knowledge with how to put Bailey at ease while we were out of town we felt that our home and our Bailey were both safe in Ashley’s hands. Highly recommend her services! Bailey is going to miss you!

Shaneka is the best cat sitter ever! I highly recommend her! She's great with my cats and leaves the house nice and clean! I get pictures and updates every day! She follows instructions and administers medicine to my older cat! I never worry when Shaneka is caring for my cats! Highly recommend!

Emma was amazing and cared for our dog deeply while we were away…couldn’t have gone any better! Her compassion, communication, & cuddles were top notch. Emma was very loving to our boy Brinx Kelli g us in the loop on his play time & walks etc via pictures we loved to receive while we were away.

Vincent saved the day. The original babysitter cancelled. 15 minutes before we got on the plane. I had to call Vincent at the last second before we got on the plane with no question asked, be went over the house and took care of my animals. I am definitely going to use him again very polite and nice guy. Thank you for everything.

I had an amazing experience with Tanaysia. From the very beginning, communication was clear and reassuring. She was attentive, responsible, and truly cared for my dog as if he was her own. I received regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away.
Maria took great care of my kittens over Thanksgiving weekend! They warmed up to her quickly and I knew they were in safe hands which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She sent me cute videos and updates daily and I wouldn't hesitate to trust her again in the future to take care of my fur babies!

Marilyn was perfect with our three cats! When we first met her it felt like we’ve known her forever. The cats warmed up to her right away (especially our spicy tuxedo lol). She knew exactly how to take care of them and how to meet each of their needs. Marilyn played with the cats, gave them extra love, and made sure they were well fed (even with their usual mid day treats). Such a great experience!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Tamarac on Rover is $72.15 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 4,649 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Tamarac. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tamarac walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tamarac maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tamarac choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tamarac. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
