About: I’m a veterinary technician with 2 years of experience. I also have a background in wildlife rehabilitation and have furry friends of my own! I’m comfortable reading animal behavior, caring for pets of all ages, including nervous pets, administering medications, and making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll care for your pet like my own and keep you updated with throughout! I’m a university student with a flexible schedule outside of class. I have plenty of time to provide dependable care, whether it’s walks, drop in visits, overnight stays, or weekend care. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, whether that includes walks, playtime, meals, or medications. My goal is to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away.

“Loved the communication we had throughout the day! Always was quick to respond with photos and information. Our pup was happy to be safe at home and Bridget was respectful of our space. We will 100% book her again!”

“Izabela was wonderful! She was prompt, very communicative and asked really good questions to prep for the stay. She was attentive to Kayla and followed all the specific directions with our senior dog. We’ve already hired her again!”

“Bree watched Ernie for a few days this week - it was the second time she stayed with the little guy, and it went famously. Since she already knows where everything is in the house, and Ernie is super comfortable with her, this was a no-brainer for me. I'm very happy with her communications, her high level of responsibility, and the cute photos she sent while I was away. I'm glad Bree was free to watch Big Ern again, and will call on her for future trips!”

“I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful dog sitter! My puppy is like my baby, so finding someone I could trust was very important to me. From the moment they met, my pup felt comfortable and even gives her kisses—which says a lot! I feel completely at ease knowing he’s in safe, loving hands. She provides the best quality of care, always sends me pictures, and responds quickly to any messages. I couldn’t ask for more!”

“Isabel was an absolute delight! I was a little nervous booking with someone new, but the moment she came over to meet our dogs, I felt completely at ease. She kept us updated throughout our trip and sent plenty of photos. It was clear they were getting lots of love and attention—when we got home, they were relaxed and happy, so I knew they’d been well cared for. She will be my first call the next time I need someone to watch my boys.”

“Marissa was fantastic and great with communication. She took such good care of our dog and 2 cats. She provided frequent pictures and checkins. I highly recommend and trust her for future needs.”

About: I have 8 years of experience as a professional dog trainer, with additional hands-on background in dog boarding. That experience has given me the ability to work with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments, create structured routines, and calmly handle behavioral issues. I now bring those skills to dog walking, house sitting, and pet sitting—providing confident, consistent care for puppies, seniors, and every dog in between. Pet care is a flexible and integral part of my routine. My part-time job allows me to prioritize the care and attention pets need. I schedule my days around walking, feeding, and ensuring pets are happy and comfortable, regardless of my other commitments. I provide attentive and reliable care in my clients’ homes, ensuring pets are comfortable in their familiar environment. For dog walking, I focus on safe, enjoyable outings tailored to each dog’s needs. When pet sitting or feeding, I follow the owner’s instructions closely, providing companionship, and playtime, and maintaining feeding schedules to keep pets happy and stress-free.
“Rose is a wonderful and trustworthy young lady. She was gentle and sensitive to my Lollipop’s needs and routines. We texted daily and provided pictures of their walks. Our final communication( she left my house before I came home), Rose left me a beautiful note summing up her day with Lolli. Besides all that… she left me with a clean and organized home; I greatly appreciated that! I certainly will be calling on her again!!”

“Ariela is Fantastic - took great care of my dogs! I have a mean 15 yo chihuahua/jerk mix and a delightful 6 yo shih tzu. Both get medicine and it’s nerve wracking finding someone when you are new in town. She was able to dose and feed them everyday, sent me a lot of photos, and checked in repeatedly. Her care and competency allowed me to leave with confidence and to enjoy my trip without worrying. She did great with my challenging dog, which was such a win. Ariela also cleaned up as she left, cleaning stuff and stripping the bed and putting the sheets in the laundry.Thoughtful person - Highly recommend!”

“Ari did a great job with our chihuahua rescue. She did an overnight stay at our house and Maya seemed very comfortable after meeting her a few times in the weeks before. Ari sent us regular updates and pics throughout the day and texted us with any questions she had. Ari is very calm and gentle with pets which is great for our anxious chihuahua. We would highly recommend her and will use her again on our upcoming cruise in May!”

“I only needed a sitter for one night, but I was so happy with how Tazzy was when I got home! Tazzy is an anxious pup and can be a little particular about new people and changes to his routine, so I’m always a little nervous leaving him with someone new. When I came home, though, he was completely himself—happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. You could definitely tell he got plenty of attention and cuddles while I was gone. 🥰 Everything at home was just as I left it, communication was great, and most importantly, I came home to a happy Tazzy. That’s really the best review I can give a sitter! I would absolutely feel comfortable having her watch him again.”

About: I absolutely love dogs and I’ve taken care of many throughout the years for my neighbors, friends and family members. I am trust worthy to take good care of your dog. I currently work part time down the street from my apartment and I have enough free time to keep your pet company and active as needed. There’s a nice big, clean dog park in my community and I always keep dog owners up to date with pictures, videos and even FaceTime calls as needed.
About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was lucky enough to have a Doberman Pinscher, a Chihuahua Shih Tzu mix, and a cat, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. As an adult, I got a dog of my own, a Pitbull Lab mix, and she’s been my best companion ever since. I’m naturally very comfortable around animals and have a calm, confident approach to handling dogs. I believe in being firm but gentle, creating structure and boundaries while making sure a dog always feels safe, loved, and understood. I’m attentive to each dog’s personality and needs rather than taking a one size fits all approach. I especially love going on long walks and letting dogs experience the world around them. I’m a big believer in allowing dogs plenty of time to stop, sniff, explore, and take in their surroundings. Walks aren’t just physical exercise, they’re important mental stimulation too! Whether your dog needs an energetic walking buddy, some extra love and attention, or simply a calm and dependable person to keep them company, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. 🐾 Pet care is my primary focus, so I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and extended stays. I’m able to accommodate different schedules and routines and can often be flexible with timing. I’m happy to work with each pet parent to find a schedule that works best for them and their pets. My priority is making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. I follow the owner’s instructions closely and make sure to maintain their pet’s normal routine as much as possible. I’m happy to provide whatever care they need, whether that means long walks, playtime, feeding, letting them outside, or simply giving them lots of love and affection. I understand that every pet is different, so I’m always happy to follow the owner’s preferences and instructions to make sure their pet receives the kind of care they’re used to.
About: I'm Jamila, owner of Professor Fleming's Petcare. I've spent 9 years caring for dogs and cats professionally — walking, sitting, boarding, and daily enrichment — so your pet isn't just supervised, they're actually looked after by someone who reads their body language. I specialize in small-to-medium dogs and cats of all personalities (yes, even the ones who "don't like anyone"). My approach is force-free and rooted in behavior science — no punishment-based methods, ever. If your pet has a routine, a quirk, or a specific need, I'll match it rather than ask them to adjust to me. Licensed and insured through Professor Fleming's LLC. I keep a flexible schedule and prioritize consistency — same walker, same routine, every time. I'm typically available for walks and drop-ins on short notice, and I plan boarding stays around a Meet & Greet first so we can make sure it's a good fit for everyone, including my own pets at home. As the owner of Professor Fleming's Petcare, I carry my own insurance and follow a documented care routine for every stay — the same standard I hold my own pets to.

Amber is an absolute angel! At our initial meet and greet, she put me and my animals so at ease that I felt completely confident that she would be a perfect fit. Our first booking went as smoothly as expected and, for the first time, I didn’t find myself worrying about my animals while I was away. She followed the care notes, sent pics, and kept me apprised of all pertinent details. I was so pleased with the experience, I’ve already booked her for another upcoming trip and I’ve no doubt my animals will be super happy to see her again.😊

We used Ashley for an extended vacation that we took that we were able to have a relaxing trip knowing that Bailey was in great hands. Bailey loved Ashley from the moment she met her as she is a very shy and cautious girl initially. Ashley had the patience and knowledge with how to put Bailey at ease while we were out of town we felt that our home and our Bailey were both safe in Ashley’s hands. Highly recommend her services! Bailey is going to miss you!

Vincent saved the day. The original babysitter cancelled. 15 minutes before we got on the plane. I had to call Vincent at the last second before we got on the plane with no question asked, be went over the house and took care of my animals. I am definitely going to use him again very polite and nice guy. Thank you for everything.

This was my first time using Brandon and of course was a bit nervous but he went above and beyond. Made sure to update and send pictures throughout the whole stay. He was tidy and clean. Left my house just how I left it. I highly recommend Brandon you won’t be disappointed. Thank you so much for keeping my best bud safe.

Kristina was absolutely amazing!!! She has so much energy, which is so valuable since I have 2 huskies. She took them on multiple walks a day, took them to the nearby dog park + played with them in our backyard. One of my dogs takes medication for his epilepsy, and she was a pro at administering. She was very communicative, giving me regular updates + photos. She also goes over + beyond!! I didn't expect or request any cleaning, but she insisted, washing bed linens + remaking the bed, cleaning the bathroom, and vacuuming the house! She also thoroughly brushed our dogs, making their coats look better than ever! She even left us all treats on her way out!! My pets had a blast with her + it was great to have someone so reliable + trustworthy so that we could focus on enjoying our vacation. We can't wait to hire her again in the future!

I needed a last minute sitter because I was leaving town for a couple days and Amor was able to help me take care of my Uzi boy! I was nervous because I wasn’t sure how my dog would do given he didn’t know her but she was great and Uzi loved her ! She sent me constant photos and updates on my boy and was very thorough throughout the whole process all the way down to how he ate and what he liked to do. She made sure he was always comfortable and super kind and compassionate towards him.Very thankful for her and will definitely continue working with her in the future when I need a sitter !
Kassandra was fantastic watching our dog over the Thanksgiving break We were nervous about leaving our Bailey girl home during Thanksgiving, but Kassandra made the entire process seamless. They stayed at our house and treated our pup like their own. We got daily photo updates, which gave us total peace of mind while we were visiting family. We came home to a happy, tired dog and a spotless house. If you need someone trustworthy to watch your pets over the holidays, Kassandra is the one to call!"

Deniro was great from start to finish. During our meet and greet, he had a nice, positive energy, and I could tell right away he was a responsible young man. My dog can be a bit of a handful, she’s injured, full of energy, can’t go on walks, and doesn’t like being alone. She also needs daily medication. Deniro managed all of that beautifully. His communication was excellent, and he sent me thoughtful updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind. I never had a single concern while I was away. I highly recommend him and would absolutely have him watch my dog again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Margate walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Margate maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Margate choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
