“Ashley was so easy to coordinate drop in visits with and very flexible and understanding with last minute changes to our travel plans. She kept us updated while we were away and our pups had the best time with her, couldn’t recommend her enough!”

About: i’ve had dogs growing up my whole entire life. I’ve volunteered in multiple animal group organizations. I absolutely adore animals all types. I have biggest love for them. They’re like love without speaking and I absolutely think they deserve everything and they just have my heart. at the moment, I am currently unemployed, so your babies will be my full attention. I absolutely cannot wait to meet all your babies and have the best time with them! We will have lots of fun i absolutely love having outside time ! i have a dog park 8 minutes away ! nap time always my favorite lol I have a backyard all fence up , i like taking my babys on car rides and having cute little pup cup dates super adorable . definitely make sure they are hydrated at all times and feed , make sure they have done their .. duties lol !! 💩
“Ariel was great. We scheduled a 30 minute mid day visit. Ariel was right on time, gave us many photos and an update of the visit. We will definitely rely on Ariel in the future.”

“Kelly accepted another short notice request, then extended it a day after my work schedule changed last minute. She is a natural with the dogs, and I was able to focus on my job while out of town knowing the pups were well attended to.”

About: I have owned and taken care of pets since a young age. Even through college, I cared for a hamster and a hedgehog! Ive always had dogs, cats, and small animals in my life! I have been around all sorts of breeds of dog, large dogs, small dogs, and everything in between. I understand and respect the temperament of different breeds and do not expect all dogs to have the same personality! I have also had cats most of my adult life and have helped take care of family pets throughout my years when in need. I currently work from home - So pet care is all day, especially when they want to cuddle near my work space! Pets get plenty of daily attention and love! We live next to a pet friendly park where I currently walk my own dogs and will get plenty of walking time. I also have a bedroom that can be used as a "safe haven" if needed where they can be fed and sleep if they're not comfortable out in the open space of the home. Your pet will be treated like family and I will ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible!
“Jazmin was an amazing sitter for our little girl. Our cat is very shy and stand offish but Jazmin made sure she was well cared for fed and loved. Best cat sitter in south fl.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter for our cat, Yodi. At 18 years old, she needs medication and a little extra care, and Ariela handled everything wonderfully. Yodi usually doesn’t warm up to strangers, so it meant so much to see how relaxed, happy, and comfortable she looked in the photos and videos we received while we were away. It was clear she was getting plenty of love, attention, and excellent care. The updates gave us tremendous peace of mind, and we came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty. We would absolutely trust Ariela with Yodi again! 🐾💕”

About: I’ve taken care of friend’s and family’s pets by feeding, walking, playing, and putting them to bed. I have volunteered in animal shelters and have no problem cleaning up messes and giving unique diets. I have great attention to detail and will make sure your pet is happy and taken care of. I’m available from 7 am-10 pm currently. In august I will be available from 1 pm-10 pm. All I need is a two hour notice beforehand! I will listen to your pet’s cues and give them space or care. I can crate your pet and give them all the enrichment they need.
“Lori has watched my cats several times now and she does an awesome job. My cats love when she comes to visit them. I know when I leave them for her to visit they will be taken care of with care.”

About: I work at a veterinary clinic as a receptionist and I have volunteered at the humane society and the K-9 unit. I am very passionate about cats and dogs and is working on my certification as a veterinary technician! I know the basics on taking care of animals especially since I have a cat of my own! I also know how to administer medications if needed! I currently work full time at a vet clinic but I am still flexible enough to do drop-ins to feed and walk your pet! I will always treat your pet like how I treat mine. Give them some love and attention as well as walking and feeding them! With cats, I will clean their litter while they eat. If your pet has medications I can assure you I will be able to administer it to them just like how I do it to my cat!
“Aleanna is the best! Always on time and very friendly. Goes above and beyond and even vacuums up where our cat is messy which is SO appreciated! Our Nova girl loves her! Highly recommend!”

About: A Safe, Loving Home Away From Home We know your dog is not “just a pet.” They are family, and trusting someone else with them is a big decision. When your dog stays with us, they will be treated with the same love, patience, respect, and attention we would want for our own animals. My wife and I both work from home, which means your dog will rarely be alone and can receive plenty of companionship throughout the day. Whether they are happiest following us from room to room, getting endless hugs and belly rubs, playing outside, or relaxing quietly, we will make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. Dogs staying with us can even have their own room, giving them a peaceful space to sleep, decompress, or simply enjoy some quiet time when needed. We also have a yard with a pool. Dogs who love the water are welcome to swim and have fun, but they will never be left outside or near the pool unsupervised. Their safety will always come first. What Sets Us Apart From Other Sitters? We recently had to say goodbye to our three dogs, who were a huge part of our family and our everyday lives. Our home feels different without them, and while no animal could ever replace them, caring for other people’s dogs gives us another way to share the love, attention, and affection we still have to give. We are not simply looking to keep your dog fed and watched while you are away. We want them to feel like they are part of our family during their stay. We pay attention to their personality, routine, comfort level, and individual needs so they can feel as relaxed and at home as possible. You can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is in a home where they will be protected, supervised, loved, and probably a little spoiled—in the best possible way. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine because my wife and I both work from home. That allows us to provide frequent potty breaks, meals on schedule, supervised outdoor time, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods or treated like an item on a checklist. We can adjust our routine around their normal schedule, energy level, and comfort needs. Whether they want constant companionship, a quiet room to relax in, time in the yard, or supervised swimming in the pool, we are able to give them consistent care, safety, and affection from morning through evening. In our home, pets are treated like part of the family. My wife and I both work from home, so we are able to provide frequent potty breaks, meals on schedule, playtime, walks, supervised outdoor time, and plenty of affection throughout the day. We follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding instructions, medications, exercise needs, sleeping preferences, and any special care requests. Pets can also have their own private room if they need a quiet, comfortable space to relax. We have a yard and a pool for dogs who enjoy swimming, but pets are never left outside or near the pool unsupervised. Safety always comes first. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s space. I make sure they are fed, exercised, comfortable, and given plenty of attention while keeping the home clean, secure, and exactly as it was left. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

Caleigh was absolutely wonderful. She took great care of our two cats, checking on them every day, feeding them, refreshing their water, playing with them, and making sure everything was perfect before she left. She was incredibly communicative, sent the sweetest photos and updates, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We would happily book her again and highly recommend her.

This was my first time ever doing this and Eduardo was very nice to my cat and followed all instructions. Kept in touch and also cleaned the litter box and fed my cat everyday. I was also sent multiple pictures of my cat daily. Would have his services again. 👍👍👍

Kristen was fantastic. She took such wonderful care of our 4 fur babies while we were traveling for the holidays. She sent daily pictures and updates and made us feel at ease. We highly recommend her services and look forward to booking with her again in the future!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tamarac. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
