“Amber did an amazing job taking care of my cats! She was reliable, caring, and treated them like they were her own. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while I was away. She kept me updated, made sure they were well cared for, and I came home to happy, relaxed cats. I highly recommend Amber to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you, Amber!”

“She was very nice, it was a meet and greet, but she met my cats, was very patient and listened to everything we told her. Very soft voice so my cats were not scared. We will contact her for future visits.”

About: As a recent graduate of the Zoo Animal Technology program at Santa Fe College and a former professional dog bather, I can provide care that goes beyond the basics. I am working toward my goal of becoming a zookeeper, and my education has given me hands-on experience caring for not only dogs and cats but reptiles, birds, small mammals, and horses. During my time working at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo, I learned animal care and training techniques, proper sanitation maintenance, animal behavior, enrichment practices, and how to recognize signs of illness, injury, or stress. I will use these skills to ensure that your fur babies are receiving the best care possible. I've owned dogs my entire life and have experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. My family has an 11-year-old German Shepard mix and 3 years ago I adopted a German short haired pointer mix. I understand that every animal is unique, and I am committed to providing safe, attentive, and compassionate care while you're away. Whether your pet needs exercise, enrichment, medication administration, or simply plenty of love and attention, I'll treat them as if they were my own. I'm currently working part-time on Wednesdays-Saturdays; however, I still have some availability during those days to spend time with your pups. I am completely available Sundays-Tuesdays! I will replicate your dog's normal routine so they feel comfortable and safe while you are away. With my training as a professional dog bather and my degree in Zoo Animal Technology, I have the knowledge and experience to understand animal behavior, recognize body language, and respond appropriately to each dog's individual needs.

Whether it’s taking regular walks, playtime, or cuddle sessions, I easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. Caring for animals brings me joy while working from home and i love the companionship they provide. I mostly care for pets in my own home, which is safe, pet-friendly, and peaceful. I create a calm environment, follow their routines closely, and always prioritize their comfort, health, and happiness. I give updates to owners regularly for peace of mind and carefully follow any special instructions to ensure a great experience for both pet and parent.
“We hired Kim to care for our cat, who requires twice-daily insulin injections while we were away for 10 days. This can be a challenging task, and our cat ended up being more difficult than expected, she was not too happy getting shots from a stranger, even though Kim followed the routine we gave her. Kim kept us updated and clearly put in effort to administer the injections despite our kitty being terribly upset. There were a couple of times when the injections were unsuccessful, but she kept us informed and continued trying. Overall, we appreciate her willingness to take on a challenging job, her consistent communication, and her honesty along the way.”

“Mariana is a great sitter. This is our first time using her and our dog warmed up to her by giving her Minnie 🤗 hugs. She was punctual and her communication with us was on point. I will definitely book with her again.”

“John did an amazing job with our pups. The cute updates were highly appreciated! It was much easier to enjoy our vacation knowing everyone was well taken care of. We can’t wait for next time!”

“Nicole is a great cat sitter. My (3) cats took to her right a way! She is very communicative because she sends pictures of all the interactions she’s had with my cats. When contacted she responds in a very friendly and timely manner. Definitely will hire her again in the future.”

About: I grew up with two 130 pound dogs and now have one of my own! I believe animals should be treated with respect and love. I would love to spoil your fur babies as I do my own. <3 I am free all day Sunday Monday and Tuesday and available evenings every other day! Whatever is needed to entertain your animals, I will do. “Gabriella took amazing care of both of my dogs while I was away. She was always punctual, incredibly reliable, and her communication was outstanding. I received detailed updates with every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing exactly how my dogs were doing. Most importantly, my dogs absolutely loved her! They were always so happy and comfortable with her, and it was clear she genuinely cared for them and treated them like her own. I came home to two happy, well-cared-for pups, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Gabriella to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
