About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. Friends and family have come to me to help take care of their animals. I love all breeds and sizes! I am available every day to care for others pets! I can drop in, walk, and bathe all sizes of dogs and am willing to move my schedule around to help out! I have experience with all sizes and breeds of dogs and have been around and taking care of animals for the majority of my life. I also have experience with cats, turtles, geckos, bearded dragons, and hamsters. My dog Max has some health issues so I’m experienced in administering medication.
“This is our THIRD time booking Jeannie. We have two dogs with very different personalities and one is old, one is an energetic puppy. They both love her and we feel at ease knowing they are in her care. She is consistent with timing, photos, and updates and shows special love for them. She has a lot of experience and it's great to find someone you trust.”
“Kira is an amazing dog sitter! She’s communicative, punctual, and incredibly kind to our Koa. We trust her completely and always look forward to having her take care of our furry baby. Highly recommend!”

“Laura did an amazing job! She was on time and sent pictures everyday. I was very happy and satisfied with her service and will definitely request her again in the future”

About: I have my own dog named Jake, he is now entering his senior years and just turned 13 this past December. I’ve had him since he was about a year old and we’ve been able to make lots of great memories together. I’ve worked at multiple grooming salons and have had limited veterinary experience. The vet experience has taught me to provide pets with liquid medication as well as pill medication. I have also raised kittens, not only when I was in school, but I now have my own kitten named Oakey, and she’s a fast growing girl! My own dog has problems with arthritis, so I know how important it is to take care when tending to your pets specific needs. Overall, I have strong love for animals and feel that the care I can provide to them will leave both pet and parent happy. I work full time in a remote setting which allows lot of flexibility location wise. My weekends and evenings are where I’m most available to provide care I currently do not do day care stays at my own home, but for care provided in my clients home I would ask for a list of requests so I can give your pet the care you desire. With my own dog, I’ve found he’s most comfortable in his own home, so I am confident that following your pets normal daily routine is the best way to ensure that they feel comfortable and safe while you are away.
“Lara was super responsible and caring with my dog, Winter. She made sure I knew how Winter was doing after each visit and was available whenever I contacted her for any concern. I would definitely book her again in the future and would recommend her for your pets.”

About: Hi, I’m Dayana! I enjoy providing attentive, compassionate care, whether that’s taking your dog on long, engaging walks or ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable in a home environment. I am currently working part-time while pursuing my esthetician license, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule and dedicate quality time to each pet in my care. My goal is to make every pet feel at ease, as if they’re in their own second home. I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s specific needs and routines to ensure their comfort and well-being. I provide a safe, structured, and loving environment for all pets in my care. I have a consistent daily schedule and ensure pets receive morning and evening walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I plan my day around their needs, including potty breaks and exercise. Your fur baby will always be in a secure, supervised environment and treated like family. I currently live in an apartment community without a yard, but your fur baby will enjoy frequent outdoor potty breaks and regular walks throughout the day. I make sure all pets get plenty of fresh air, exercise, and stimulation to keep them happy and comfortable.
About: I've been caring for animals informally for years. I had my own fur baby, Charlie, who was so much more than a pet—he was my best friend for 13 years. He taught me that when it comes to caring for animals, the most important qualities are patience, consistency, empathy, and understanding that no two pets are the same. Since Charlie's passing, I've loved helping friends and family care for their furry companions, whether dogs or cats. One of my favorite parts is getting to know each pet's unique personality and what makes them tick. Whether it's long walks, chasing toys, cuddles on the couch, or simply enjoying each other's company, I love meeting pets where they are and giving them the care and attention they need. Spending time with furry friends has truly become one of my favorite ways to spend the day. I'm comfortable caring for both dogs and cats, keeping them active, entertained, and sticking to their routines. I also have experience giving oral medications when they can be hidden in food or treats. A little about me—I'm a licensed mental health counselor, so patience, compassion, and empathy come naturally to me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. I'll treat them with the same love, attention, and respect that I gave my Charlie boy. Whether you're away on vacation or simply at work for the day, I'll make sure to keep you posted with plenty of pictures and updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. I work full-time four days a week, leaving me three days each week to hang out with your furry family members! I'm available Thursdays through Saturdays for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention. I am also available some Wednesdays in the evenings! I’ll be sure to keep my availability updated! At this time, I'm offering dog walks and drop-in visits in your home. While I'm not currently able to provide boarding, I'm more than happy to come to your pet's familiar environment, where they can feel safe, comfortable, and stick to their normal routine. Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood, playtime in the backyard, a potty break, fresh food and water, or simply a lil extra love and time hanging out while you're away, I'll make sure your pet receives the care and attention they deserve. I'll also treat your home with the same respect and care that I would my own, and I'll always leave things just as I found them.

“I found myself in a last-minute situation needing a babysitter, and Nicole was always available whenever I needed her. She has looked after my cat, Levi, on multiple occasions and has taken exceptional care of him. You can rest assured that with Nicole, you and your pets are in great hands!”

“Min took excellent care of my 3 fur babies (1 dog & 2 cats) while I was away. Min was always punctual for the multiple per day drop in visits in my house. She provided updates and photos each visit, as well as detailed reports of my pets mood, eating & potty habits. My highly energetic Australian Shepherd enjoyed playtime with Min each visit. Min treated my babies like her own. Highly recommended 10/10. Will definitely be using Min’s services again.”
“Lisa was very accommodating when I made a last-minute booking. She made time to come and meet my nervous shy dog. During the visits she took photos and gave updates. Thank you.”

“I cannot recommend Richard enough. We are going through a tough time with our baby girl Missy who is a special needs dog that more recently has become immobile. Richard went above and beyond to provide her top notch care while we were out of town for the weekend. Richard helped her with the bathroom, administered medication, and took great care feeding her. We were in a bind and really came in the clutch for us. Thank you for taking great care of our girl Missy! Highly recommend.”

“Danielle did a great job with all our pets. She was available when we needed, and sent us updates and pictures every time she was at our house. We will definitely be using her again!”

Madison took great care of our cats when we went on a trip. She was on time for every feeding, took lots of pictures, and was communicative throughout her time checking in our cats! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sunshine Acres. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
