About: Hi! We’re a dependable, dog-loving family offering in-home dog boarding and dog sitting on Cape Cod. If you’re looking for a safe, attentive, and comfortable home for your dog while you’re away, you’ve found it. We both work from home, so your dog will never be alone. We have a small, friendly Labradoodle who loves other dogs and is very used to sharing his space. Because of that, visiting dogs typically adjust quickly and feel right at home here. We’ve cared for many friends’ dogs over the years, including puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. We’re comfortable with different temperaments, energy levels, and routines, from active dogs who need lots of playtime and walks to more relaxed dogs who just want a calm, cozy environment. We have used pet sitters several times for our own travels, so we know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your beloved fur baby with a stranger. We will make your dog one of our family and give you regular updates, including photos. We know how important it is to trust who you leave your dog with. This allows us to build our day around the dogs in our care rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Our typical day includes morning potty breaks and walks, followed by a relaxed workday where dogs have plenty of supervision, companionship, and opportunities to go outside as needed. We take breaks throughout the day for playtime, short walks, and attention, depending on each dog’s energy level and routine. In the evenings, we usually incorporate longer walks, playtime, or wind-down time, making sure dogs are settled and comfortable before bedtime. Because dogs are part of our home environment, they’re included in our daily rhythm—not treated as an afterthought. On weekends, we’re generally home and maintain a similar routine, with even more flexibility for walks, outdoor time, and one-on-one attention. Overall, having dogs in our care is something we genuinely enjoy and prioritize, and our schedule allows us to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day and week. We care for every dog as if they’re our own, with a focus on keeping their routine consistent, their environment safe, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. Before any stay, we take time to understand your dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any quirks or preferences—so we can mirror what they’re used to at home as closely as possible. In our home, dogs get: Plenty of supervision (we both work from home, so they’re rarely alone) Regular potty breaks, walks, and playtime based on their energy level A calm, safe environment with space to relax or socialize Lots of attention and affection throughout the day We’re also comfortable administering basic medications if needed and following any specific care instructions you provide.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs prior to having kids, in my early 20’s. Summer residents and Nantucket residents where we resided before relied on me to walk and dog sit their pets. I’m currently home full time with my two boys. My oldest will be going into kindergarten in the fall and my youngest will be going to daycare part time and be home home with me the majority so I’m available/flexible. I am responsible and very protective of my kids along with clients pets. I do not have a fenced in yard but I would love to take your pet for nice long walks during the days on leash.

About: I am a very active 49 year old mom with adult children and two small dogs. I grew up with animals my whole life, and my family even owned a chain of pet stores when I was growing up, where I worked. My family is packed with doctors and vets. I move to the Cape full time and am available to walk dogs, house sit, and board small to medium sized animals in my home in Orleans. We have a fenced in backyard and lots of space to run on the beach. I work remotely, part-time as an attorney and set my own schedule. My true love is animals! My flexibility gives me plenty of time to care for pets, in your home, in mine, or just for a walk. I take my dogs for a daily run to on the beach and am happy to take along another. I can also care for your dog alone in your home (and leave mine home with my amazing family). Finally, I am available for walking your pup, most days in your neighborhood or mine. We have an acre of land and half is fenced in for dogs. We have extra cages if desired. Ours never enjoyed their crates. We will follow your schedule and treat your pet like a member of the family. We invite interviews in advance to ensure we are the right fit for your pet.

About: I grew up with animals. As a result, I have had the responsibility of animal care since I was 6 years old. It is a part of my core self. I trained a rescue pit bull in my adult life. Through this process I learned a lot about the psychology of dogs and how to be a responsible dog owner. I had 12 wonderful years with her. I lost her in May and i am missing that canine connection. When I am not, at home, my office is a 7 minute drive away. Well behaved dogs can come to my office me. I have a small home that is primarily one floor. It has a yard (not fenced). I do not have children or other pets. I live a quiet and calm life and I am able to attend to animals with full attention.
