About: Hi! My name is Mariana and I am going to be a junior at UMass Amherst. I am currently living on Cape Cod for the summer, looking for pet care opportunities in the Eastham/Cape Cod area. I am very enthusiastic about my love for dogs and have experience with many ages, breeds, and sizes. I have 3 male Rhodesian Ridgebacks at home, named Mo (7), Bernie (2), and Frankie (2 months). Currently, I’m working part time at the Chatham Dog Club. In the past (From Jan 2025-Aug 2025),I had the pleasure of caring for a local family’s dogs: two German Shepards (Mo and Solo) and a Yellow lab (Hubert). Given their differing temperaments and high energy, I was able to orchestrate a safe and fun environment for all 3 dogs. Tasks included preparing meals, cleaning kennels and any other surfaces/food dishes as needed, and observing and participating in play time. Along with many other experiences, this one was truly so enjoyable and reinforced my love of dogs and everything that comes with caring for them. I would love to help you out and give your dogs the loving care they deserve! I am available all summer until the last week of August. I am also very flexible so I am willing to work with you or your schedule if needed! I am able to take your dog on walks with a leash, crate them if needed, play with them in any fenced in or closed off area, learn and give them any training commands they know, feed them, give them treats and pets!

I'm fully available on weekends and Wednesdays for dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight stays. Whether your dog is staying in my home or I’m caring for them in yours, their comfort and well-being come first. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality, routines, and needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free. I will treat your home and your pup with complete respect. I follow all your instructions closely, from feeding to medication to where your dog likes to nap. I keep things tidy and make sure your dog feels safe and relaxed while you’re away. I’ll also send regular updates so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing.

My days provide good flexibility to accomodate walks, let-outs, and canine slumber parties. I have a 12 year-old Pyrenees/Border-Collie mix, who loves to get out and move around, so I'm no stranger to the 4-5 walks/day schedule ;) Maintaining your trust, and your furry family member's safety will always be top priority. I will always defer to owners and their guidance, since parents know best! Home care will focus on meals, finding comfortable spots in lieu of a potentially awkward new setting, and lots of love and support. I know how anxious I get when I leave Oreo (my pup) alone for 15 minutes to run an errand, so I hope to alleviate those concerns and ensure that your pup will have a blast.

About: I am a very active 49 year old mom with adult children and two small dogs. I grew up with animals my whole life, and my family even owned a chain of pet stores when I was growing up, where I worked. My family is packed with doctors and vets. I move to the Cape full time and am available to walk dogs, house sit, and board small to medium sized animals in my home in Orleans. We have a fenced in backyard and lots of space to run on the beach. I work remotely, part-time as an attorney and set my own schedule. My true love is animals! My flexibility gives me plenty of time to care for pets, in your home, in mine, or just for a walk. I take my dogs for a daily run to on the beach and am happy to take along another. I can also care for your dog alone in your home (and leave mine home with my amazing family). Finally, I am available for walking your pup, most days in your neighborhood or mine. We have an acre of land and half is fenced in for dogs. We have extra cages if desired. Ours never enjoyed their crates. We will follow your schedule and treat your pet like a member of the family. We invite interviews in advance to ensure we are the right fit for your pet.

The house was nice and most importantly, Roxie was clearly well cared for with belly rubs and attention as she seemed to not want to leave!
