About: A lifelong lover of animals of all kinds, I recently moved to the Cape with my 14 year old cat, Anya. I’ve had cats on and off my whole life, and for eleven wonderful years shared my life with a rabbit named Fiona. I have experience caring for special needs (Anya has IBD and Fiona was blind in her later years) and administering medications. I have enjoyed pet sitting for friends and neighbors, and am also a volunteer at a wildlife rescue where I help care for raptors, turtles, snakes, and an absolute queen of a porcupine. While I love dogs, I have less experience with them, so would be better fitted to smaller and/or calmer canines while I get some more experience under my belt. As an overprotective cat mom, I can assure you that I will care for your fur children as if they were my own, will follow your instructions to the letter, and will stay in communication with you so that you can enjoy your time away without worrying about your little ones. I’ve recently moved to the Cape and currently have lots of availability. I can currently not offer overnights, as I have my own fur child to care for, but would love to come for extended visits or walks! I will follow your instructions meticulously. I am used to caring for injured birds, so am extremely conscientious about making sure animals stay safe in their homes and on the leash.

“Debbie took our 2 dogs ( German shorthair pointer and chocolate lab) on nice long walk for two days in a row over the weekend. Debbie arrived on time and communicated with me and followed all of my little tips in a note I left for her. She was even able to switch up the arrival time on the second day as needed. Our pointer has to be crated and Debbie was able to easily access and secure the crate. The same dog is young and strong with a tendency to pull on walks and Debbie was easily able to walk both our dogs together and control them. I would definitely book Debbie again.”

This year in addition to our dog they watched last year, they also had our ‘new to us’ rescue pup who came with his own set of challenges. :-) Andrea and Bob were so patient and thoughtful in making sure he was comfortable and happy. “Madaket was fantastic, we arrived at the property and my dog Olympia started sprinting around with her dog Millie. The property was also very large, which gave Olympia plenty of room to enjoy herself. Madaket sent several pictures and videos throughout the day. There is nothing better than feeling confident that your dog doesn’t miss you because you know they are having such a good time ?! I’d be happy to leave Olympia there any time! Plus she gave Olympia a little blue bandana ?”

“I am so pleased with the care my cavapoo,Kirby, received from Katie and Jesse. He fit right in with their dog as they played, had a walk, and slept near each other. The family was loving and calm and their son was gentle and attentive to both dogs. The overnight stay was smooth with no mishaps or behavior issues. When we picked him up the next day, Kirby greeted us happy and tired. He watched his new friend as we drove away. I definitely will contact them again when we need doggy daycare or an overnight stay. It was a wonderful reassuring experience with others caring for our family member.”
