Jennifer was a LIFESAVER for us during our recent trip to Chatham! We needed some help while we took a trip into Boston and Jennifer made sure our almost 3 year old lab was walked, fed and loved during our time away. Excellent communication, even stopped by the day prior for a meet and greet and went above and beyond with care and patience with our girl. It was a beyond hot day and Jennifer came to our home twice to get our pup out walking then even cooling down with ice cube treats! We had a great day at Fenway knowing our girl was in good hands. Would use again in a heartbeat! Cannot say enough good things and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We hired Laurie to bale us out when we were in a situation, one with a broken leg the other with the darn upper respiratory virus. She was great. Very take charge, warm and friendly and our dog loved her. She gave good feedback about her walks and even helped catch our little sneak when she escaped our yard before her walk. I highlyrecommend Laurie!

I have worked with a doggy daycare as well and loved every second. I know how important it is to find a pet sitter that really cares! I can go on long or short walks depending on the dog’s ability. I have cared for puppies to senior dogs, so I know the different activity levels. If away, I will make sure your animal is eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom normally, and I will always let the owner know if something seems wrong. I will also gladly send pictures when asked! Can administer medication. I am also fully insured! I will always make sure pets are safe and secure when leaving homes. I can crate dogs if ever needed. I will feed on schedule and go on walks accordingly. I will follow all protocols given by owners, and I will clean up messes from the animals if that ever happens. Your pet will be in good hands, and if anything seems wrong with the animal while you are gone, I will call the owner or, in case of an emergency, bring she/him to the vet. I am currently working part-time, so I have lots of time to play with your animals! I am available on weekends and weekdays. I am always willing to fit you in around my open schedule! I provide attentive care tailored to your pet's needs. This includes regular feeding, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection. Elizabeth has been awesome with Toby. She’s been coming twice a week to walk him and although he’s a little scaredy-cat and sometimes doesn’t want to walk very far, she is very patient and will go at his own pace. Toby loves her and we can’t speak more highly of her kindness and work ethic. We hope to have a very long relationship with Elizabeth.

About: I’m a lifetime animal lover, and get along terrifically well with dogs. My house is the go-to for friends and family needing a place for their pups to stay. I am retired with volunteer jobs part-time (2mornings), during the week. I’m never away from home for more than a few hours during which time my dog-friendly feline can either ignore your dog or keep them company. Im home the majority of the time. Cozy corner in my den for bed. Seems to be everyone’s favorite hangout. Living room has multiple Sunny-spots Several neighborhood walks a day and if dog and owner are willing, I go to Thompson’s field in Harwich where they can romp.

Debbie took our 2 dogs ( German shorthair pointer and chocolate lab) on nice long walk for two days in a row over the weekend. Debbie arrived on time and communicated with me and followed all of my little tips in a note I left for her. She was even able to switch up the arrival time on the second day as needed. Our pointer has to be crated and Debbie was able to easily access and secure the crate. The same dog is young and strong with a tendency to pull on walks and Debbie was easily able to walk both our dogs together and control them. I would definitely book Debbie again.

  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
