“This was my first time leaving my cat alone for the weekend and I couldn’t have been more happy with Rachel! She was super kind, thorough, and communicative with me. I will definitely be using Rachel again in the future when needed!”

“I found Chen through Rover to drop in and take care of my two cats for six days while I was away, and she did an excellent job. From the start, she carefully wrote down all the details I shared about my cats’ routines, which gave me confidence that she truly listened and cared. Every day, she provided thorough and timely updates, including how much each cat ate, their litter box habits, and their energy levels. She consistently refreshed their water, fed them meals and treats as instructed, and made an effort to interact and engage with both cats so they wouldn’t feel lonely. Chen comes across as very responsible, well-educated, and trustworthy. Because of her attentiveness and clear communication, I felt much less anxious leaving both my cats and my home in her care. I highly recommend Chen to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter, and I will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Elizabeth helped with drop in visits while we were out of town. She took such good care of my girls, sent lots of photos and gave them so much love! Will definitely book with Elizabeth again in the future :)”

“We absolutely love shadi and our puppy was so comfortable with her from the first visit. She is very patient and sweet with our high energy puppy. She also is very punctual and reliable. Definitely recommend her.”

About: I have had my maltese, Milky, for fifteen years and unfortunately had to say goodbye to my childhood dog back in 2023. I would love to meet some new dogs and spend more time with some new friends! I have experience working with dogs as I worked at a dog grooming salon. I had always wanted a dog when I was younger and felt a strange connection to dogs, wherever and whenever I saw them. I have also worked with No Stray Left Behind which is an organization that helps adopt abandoned dogs. I’m currently working part-time so have plenty of time to look after or walk your pet! (: My schedule is pretty flexible so it shouldn’t be hard to find availability! I have a fenced backyard that is definitely safer than just letting the dog outside and also live in a cul de sac where I can safely walk the dog if needed!
“David is a patient, kind, and lovely human. He has been working with our protective and reactive dog, Momo, for a few months, and after being rejected by more than one doggy hotel and more than one dog sitter, we are so so happy to see Momo’s progress with David. Momo had her first successful, stress-free weekend by herself with David dropping in and taking her on walks. We are so thrilled and thankful to David for staying patient with Momo’s sass-itude and having his help has improved Momo’s life and our lives significantly! 🩷”

“Always feel great and like my babies are in reliable hands with Bradey! She does such a great job loving on them, feeding them, giving them treats and pets. Thank you, again! They love you!”

“Kylie did a great job taking care of my 2 cats. Sweet, punctual, responsive and overall easy to communicate/work with. I will not hesitate to reach out to her again when I need someone to care for my orange boys.”

About: Hi! I'm Debbie, and caring for animals has been my passion for most of my life. I began volunteering at a veterinary hospital as a teenager and was hired at just 16 years old. I pursued veterinary technology, passed the California Registered Veterinary Technician state board examination in 2011, and have spent nearly two decades working in small animal veterinary medicine. While I no longer maintain an active RVT license, I continue working in the veterinary field and use the knowledge and experience I've gained over the years every day. My background includes caring for puppies and kittens, healthy adult pets, senior pets, and animals with chronic medical conditions. I'm experienced with administering oral medications, eye and ear medications, injections, sub-q fluids, topical treatments, and providing attentive care to pets that need a little extra support. Animals have always been a huge part of my life beyond my career. I'm a proud Mom, wife, dog owner and chicken keeper, and I also have experience caring for parrots and other companion birds. I enjoy grooming my own dogs and have experience with routine grooming, including bathing, brushing, nail trims, and styling. In addition to companion animals, I'm comfortable caring for backyard flocks and many ranch and farm animals, understanding that each species has its own unique routines and needs. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your animals are safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I strive to keep pets comfortable, maintain their routines, and provide plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry (and feathered!) family members are in caring, experienced hands. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, medication, companionship, or care for your backyard flock or small farm, I'd be honored to care for them as if they were my own. Between being a Mom to older children/wife/part-time vet tech, my schedule allows me to fit in jobs to care for other's pets while they are going out of town for the day or longer. I will honor and follow your instructions to care for your pets as you wish. I also am big on sending pics via text with pupdates and for you to see that all is well.
About: I have been surrounded by dogs of all ages my whole life, and have extensive experience in plenty of different scenarios. I helped train my dog when she was a puppy, I’m responsible for bathing her, feeding her, picking up her poop, walking her, and more - all the responsibilities of owning a pet. I am also the go-to dog sitter for my friends, family, and colleagues, as I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and do a great job at it. I have experience dog sitting for senior dogs, dogs with special accommodations, dogs who need medication, puppies, hyperactive dogs, standoffish dogs, pretty much every dog under the sun. I have no problems with any situation and can handle anything thrown my way! I have a very flexible part-time job where I can pick my hours, so pet care fits anywhere into my weekly routine where I may choose it. I tend to go above and beyond when pet sitting in the sense that I spend most of my time with the animals, so complete attention and pet care won’t be a problem. I could only care for pets in the client’s home, as my own dog stays at my house and is a solo act, but in a client’s home I would care for pets as if they were my own. I would expect to have access to resources I’d need to properly care for the pets, but I could also bring anything of my own if needed. I am determined to create and maintain a comfortable, safe, and loving environment for any pets that I’d be lucky enough to watch over.
About: I’ve had a dog since age 10 (now a sweet old boy!) and have fostered puppies! From shy and snuggly to playful and curious - I’ve met them all! Student at UH studying botany in my last year! Pretty flexible and looking to spend time with the pups of the island - originally from California with a good boy at home - I’m looking to cure some homesickness with your doggy! At home, my dog enjoys a fenced yard with plenty of sunshine for his sunning and naps with my cat (supervised of course) and both animals have free reign of the house. In your home all rules placed for your pets will be respected and any accidents cleaned before you can say “woof”!
“Erica is wonderful! She takes care of our dog, cats, and turtle when we are out of town and they all love her. After the visit, Erica always writes how the visit went, how our small zoo is doing and sends pictures of everyone. :) They all love getting pets and cuddles from Erica when she visits!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 4,441 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Silverado. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Silverado. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
