“Kun, “JK”, took great care of our energetic yellow Labrador, Lucy. We first arranged for a Meet and Greet to ensure that Lucy and JK got along well and they hit it off the second we got out of the car! JK asked to take the leash from me so that she could take control of Lucy on a short walk around the block. JK was very thorough and asked good questions about how Lucy would react if encountering other dogs or kids in public and also wanted to know if she had any other particular needs. I felt much more comfortable leaving Lucy with JK for daycare knowing that she would do her best to care for our girl as well as we would at home. JK took many pictures and videos throughout the day to provide periodic updates and was super responsive to any messages, too. I highly recommend her services.”

“Kaylee took really great care of Toby yesterday. From her pictures, he seemed very relaxed, happy and comfortable with Kaylee n her dog. I would definitely recommend Kaylee.”

“Mickey sent photos throughout the day and pickup/dropoff was very smooth and easy. Leia looked like she had a great time with the other dogs at the daycare and she came home happy and tired!”

“Repeat customer here. I came back to Junping because she really cares for pets like it’s her own. She’s very caring and now my dog gets excited when he knows he’s going to see her. Her kids are also very loving and caring towards JB. Makes him feel like he’s at home!”

“Donna and Mike were so loving and caring for my dog Sedona! She is a puppy and was on her first heat cycle, and Donna and Mike were so caring and knew their way around doggy diapers and gave me tips on how to use doggy diapers more efficiently. They sent me photos throughout the day, and were reliable and communicative. Sedona had a great time with them!”

“Ying is a graceful person with a welcoming approach. My little Shiba Inu immediately felt confident to enter their home and be part of their family for the evening. Her teenage daughter also seemed so sweet and I was happy knowing Loomi would be in great company and have the space to play. The neighborhood itself is all doggy friendly, quiet and offers space for long walks and great smells. Thank you Ying for the updates and caring for my little one. 🐶🩷”

“We really appreciate Pili accommodate our very last minute request and being flexible. She takes great care of our puppy. She was very diligent with frequent updates and pictures and our puppy was very happy when we picked her up at the end of the day care!”

“First time using Rover app. We have never left my dog alone in the 5 years he has been with us so it was a bit nerve racking for me as I am so close to my dog Enzo. Enzo is a Cavapoo. Kimberly allowed us to do a meet and greet a few days before so that we are more comfortable. Enzo enjoyed his time with Kimberly and her dogs and we will definitely use her again. Thank you Kimberly.”

About: I am retired as of a few years ago, and we just lost our Bailey girl at 14 years old a few years back. I haven’t adopted a new dog since and instead am taking care of our kids dogs when they go out of town but do miss having a dog around. I’ve cared for about 6 dogs over my lifetime, and would love to care for your pup too. We have a huge yard that is fenced in for them to go out and play and a large neighborhood great for walks. A few of the dogs I have taken care, love to run in our backyard because there is room for them to run. Since I’m retired I have plenty of free time to take care of and play with pups. I love dogs and enjoy interacting with them. I want them to be happy and safe. I have a large, fully fenced in backyard and a separate fenced in side yard both of which can be closed and keep the dog inside. I also welcome any crates if a dog feels more comfortable in a crate at night. If a dog is well behaved at night, they could also bring a bed and sleep next to our bed.

“David is an excellent sitter for my dog Willow! He is very nice, easy to communicate with, & responds quickly to all questions and inquiries. He sends me many pictures throughout the day of my dog and I greatly appreciate that . I can definitely see that she is having a great time with David and his family! Most importantly, I know that she is safe and well taken care of by David each and every time I drop her off. I highly recommend David and am very happy to have found a great, dependable sitter for Willow!”

“I booked Mengmeng for a last-minute dog sitting for my 7-month-old puppy, and she was absolutely amazing! She watched him for 12 hours and was incredibly flexible with both pickup and drop-off, which made things so easy for me. She sent me lots of adorable photos and videos throughout the day, which really put my mind at ease. He looked so happy and comfortable! On top of that, she gave him a fresh bath and the cutest little trim—he came home clean, happy, and looking extra cute! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and attentive sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“I took a "test drive" with Mark, leaving my dogs with him for a day. He was a great match for my 2 older dogs. He knew how to match their energy and had a very calm presence when they first met him. My pups will usually bark at people when they first met them but not at Mark. They were fine with him for a full day. He took them for a walk and they were fine for him. My "party pup" wanted more pets from Mark before we left. I definitely recommend Mark for a calm & comfortable person & place of care.”

“It was a pleasure to meet Naoko and to see how our dog liked her from the first meet and greet. Naoko kept us informed of Lexi’s day with photos and messages. Will definitely book a stay again.”

About: I used to work at an animal hospital and have attended formal training on pet care. I’ve been a pet lover all my life. Caring for animals is my passion! I work from home full-time so I have constant presence around the pets I babysit. My 7yo female (spayed) Calico stays with me and loves having access to me all day, and if you have a social pet, then I’m here for them too! I know which stuff are bad for pets so you’re guaranteed a safe stay with us. I am home all day so there will be constant care and guidance

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Silverado
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 3,987 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Silverado. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Silverado commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,987 sitters in Silverado, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
