We first arranged for a Meet and Greet to ensure that Lucy and JK got along well and they hit it off the second we got out of the car! JK asked to take the leash from me so that she could take control of Lucy on a short walk around the block. JK was very thorough and asked good questions about how Lucy would react if encountering other dogs or kids in public and also wanted to know if she had any other particular needs. I felt much more comfortable leaving Lucy with JK for daycare knowing that she would do her best to care for our girl as well as we would at home. About: I am retired as of a few years ago, and we just lost our Bailey girl at 14 years old a few years back. I haven’t adopted a new dog since and instead am taking care of our kids dogs when they go out of town but do miss having a dog around. I’ve cared for about 6 dogs over my lifetime, and would love to care for your pup too. We have a huge yard that is fenced in for them to go out and play and a large neighborhood great for walks. A few of the dogs I have taken care, love to run in our backyard because there is room for them to run. Since I’m retired I have plenty of free time to take care of and play with pups. I love dogs and enjoy interacting with them. I want them to be happy and safe. I have a large, fully fenced in backyard and a separate fenced in side yard both of which can be closed and keep the dog inside. I also welcome any crates if a dog feels more comfortable in a crate at night. If a dog is well behaved at night, they could also bring a bed and sleep next to our bed.

Growing up, my family had three rescue dogs that I helped raise and care for while my parents were busy with work. Watching them grow into perfect, well-behaved family pets has been incredibly amazing to watch. In college, I help care for two cats and two guinea pigs, and this past school year I also pet sat for my neighbor’s two dogs. Being around animals has always been one of my favorite parts of the day. No matter how busy I am, coming home to pets instantly makes my day 100x better!! The only dates I am unavailable are June 27–28, when I will be out of town for the weekend, and July 1–6, when I will be attending a family wedding. About: I've taken care of my friends' dogs for years and adopted my own puppy 3 years ago! I've learned a lot about dog training the past few years, including loose leash walking, clicker training, working on reactivity, recall training, and getting through the puppy and teenage phase! I am familiar with positive reinforcement training and balanced training and can help keep up any training you have been working on with your dog while I take care of them! I'm familiar with various collars - regular, prong, slip, gentle leaders, and harnesses. I'm currently taking a work hiatus from being a pharmacist! So I have flexible scheduling during the day & evenings to help take care of your pup! I'm typically at the ceramics studio on Fridays, but if you let me know 2 weeks in advance of the Friday you need me, I can make arrangements. I am here to help your pets feel as safe and happy as they can while you're away. Just let me know their normal routine (no matter how detailed) and I'm happy to keep it the same for them! I can help administer medications if needed, and can put together multi-step meals with toppers as well!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a little kid, I was always watching my neighbors pets. Since then I was a dog dad to a German Shepard/Rottweiler mix. I currently walk dogs on the WAG! app as well and have 18 five star reviews. Pet care fits into my daily routine very well. I am a full time photographer and create a schedule to fit my photography and pet care. I treat all pets as if they are my pet. I love to give pets and scratches but will make sure the pet is healthy and well taken care of.
