“Annie is great I highly recommend her. She graciously took our Max on very short notice due to a mishap with another sitter. Our Max took to her right away and didn’t cry when we left him.”

“Robin was absolutely phenomenal caring for our Cavapoo, London! She went above and beyond by sending regular updates with heartwarming photos of their time together. It was so reassuring to see London happy and well-cared for in her capable hands. Robin's attentiveness and genuine love for pets truly shines through. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a trustworthy and caring pet sitter who we would welcome back into our home without hesitation. If you're looking for someone who will treat your fur baby like family, look no further than Robin - she's simply the best!”

About: Hi! I have taken care of dogs almost my entire life. I got my first dog when I was 12 and from there on out I have always had at least one. I have always pet sit for family and friends when needed and now I’m looking forward to expanding my services to others. I live in a home and have a fenced in yard. I am used to giving medications if needed and can also care for senior dogs (I have one myself!) I have 2 dogs as of now so your dog will always have someone to play with 😊 I work from home so I am home nearly all day unless I have an errand to run I work from home so I am always home! I also have a backyard where they can run around whenever they want. I usually leave the door cracked for easy in/out access and I have a fully fenced in yard I have a fenced in yard and do frequent potty breaks! If your dog is crate trained I can keep them on whatever schedule they are used to at home. Throughout the years I’ve had to administer my fair share of medication so if your dog needs any medication I would be more than happy to administer! If they come to my home, they will always have a friend to play with since I have 2 dogs myself 🙂

About: Hi, I’m Samantha—your pet’s new favorite human. My friends voted me “Most Likely to Come Home from a Girls Weekend with a Dog,” and I wear that title proudly. I’ve been caring for animals my whole life—from horses and dogs on my grandparents’ farm to fostering pets and building cat walls in my spare time. I speak fluent cat and dog (yes, I understand the slow blink and the “where are you?” meow). I’m upbeat, funny, and dependable—and I’ll treat your fur-kids like family. When Auntie Samantha visits, pets get greeted first. It’s not personal—it’s priorities. I aim to build respectful, lasting partnerships with pet parents, and I’ll keep you updated with pics and notes so you always know your pet is safe, loved, and maybe a little spoiled. Since I work from home and for myself, my work schedule is very flexible. I enjoy helping others care for their four legged kids, since I remember never having enough time when I was younger. Our fur kids are very used to new siblings coming in the home. We have been fostering for PACT FOR ANIMALS for years. They provide foster homes for military personnel.
About: Hello, At our home we are really down to earth and love dogs. I am home most days so I play with the pups often and always know what is going on. My husband is home after 3pm on weekdays and always on weekends. Our home has A/C and heat if needed. We have a spacious backyard so dogs can run, play and explore as much as they want. The dogs have the option to come in and out as they please. We are ok with the dogs on couches and beds. We have one dog, Stevie, who is a rescue and very sweet border collie lab mix who gets along with all dogs. We will treat your dog like part of our family. We will only have one dog and Stevie at a time so as to give extra care and attention. If special circumstance comes up, we may take 2dogs or overlap for few days but will always tell you that upfront. We provide updates via text pic or video and/or email if you wish. About: I grew up with dogs and spent 10+ years caring for my own rescue dog, Jack. I spent 5+ years volunteering at an animal shelter, fostering dogs, and taking shelter dogs running. I have completed dog training courses for all of those activities. I understand just how much trust it takes to put your dog in someone else’s care. I’m attentive, patient and affectionate, and I treat every dog as an individual with their own personality, routines and needs. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and the additional care they may require, including administering medications, preparing special meals, assisting with mobility, adapting walks and activities, and following detailed care routines. I’m also very observant of changes in behavior, appetite, energy and comfort. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs—whether that means a good walk, playtime, exploring outside, or simply keeping them company at home. I’m reliable and responsible, and I’ll follow your instructions carefully so your dog can stay as close as possible to their normal routine while you’re away. My apartment is large, spacious, and quiet. I am in the first floor so it is accessible for senior dogs. I have a gated patio which adds security to the front area. My complex is quiet and has walking paths and grassy areas, with very few dog owners - and we keep our dogs separate and away from each other. Your dog will be safe and secure with me. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to spend plenty of time with the pets in my care. I can easily accommodate regular walks, feeding schedules, medications, playtime and companionship throughout the day. I’m active and enjoy walking, but I’m equally happy to adjust my routine for a senior dog or a pet who prefers a quieter day at home. I’ll do my best to maintain your pet’s normal schedule so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I take caring for someone else’s pet and home seriously. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including feeding, walks, medications, household rules and any special routines your pet is accustomed to. I’m attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, mobility or comfort and will communicate with you if anything seems unusual. I’m also respectful of your home and will keep it clean, secure and cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to provide regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, comfortable and getting plenty of attention.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Laguna Hills
We had SUCH a great experience with Saeedeh (Lili) ! This was the first time using Rover, so naturally we were a little nervous. We were so thrilled with how caring and attentive she was and were immediately put at ease! She sent photos all thru out the day, and took such good care of our dog. Will definitely be using her again!

Another fantastic day spent with Chris! Ozzy loves it here and Chris always takes the best care of him. He sends us fun videos that he takes time to edit and Ozzy has gone home with gifts twice! Last time Chris gifted Ozzy a very cool puzzle bowl! Thanks again, Chris!

Shelley was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of my dog today and was incredibly kind, attentive, and dependable. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in such good hands. I truly appreciate the care and attention she provided and would definitely recommend Shelley to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you, Shelley! 🐾❤️

Taro stayed with Ailen, and I could tell she had such a great time! She was always so happy in the pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. 🥰 Ailen also took the time to ask thoughtful questions about Taro and how she should care for her, which was really reassuring. I think Taro even made some new friends! As she’s gotten a little older, she’s not quite as friendly with other dogs as she used to be, so it was really nice to see her enjoying their company and having fun. Ailen is wonderful if you’re looking for someone reliable, caring, and attentive to take care of your fur baby. I would definitely recommend her! ❤️

Yue did such a great care for our fur dog. She took in a last minute accommodation and I greatly appreciate her for it. She sent tons of cute pictures while watching Cannoli and sent me updates as well as questions. Thank you so much Yue and I definitely recommend her of trusting with your loving pet.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Laguna Hills commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
