About: I have taken care of animals since I was a pre-teen, but fell in love with animal care fully in my junior year of high school, after I began volunteering at the Everett Animal Shelter. Since then, I have changed positions and worked as a post-surgery volunteer with PAWS, transporting and handling anesthetized animals after they underwent surgeries. This summer I am also interning at PAWS again, this time as a Foster Care Intern, where I manage the entire foster care system behind the scenes. Additionally, I have worked with large animals such as horses while volunteering, managed and milked dairy cattle, and took care of pigs as my job on the side. I will continue to grow my portfolio, as I am a Pre-Vet Animal Science major at Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian one day. I am currently on summer break in my hometown (Everett) and have pretty open availability. I intern at paws from 8am-12pm on Sundays & Mondays, and 12-5pm on Thursdays, but other than that, I am free for walks, house sitting, or drop ins! Safety is extremely important during both house sitting & walks! For walks, I like to make sure dogs stay on the side of the sidewalk away from the road, as well as being properly harnessed and equipped with essential needs like poop bags and water incase of an emergency. I also keep a sharp eye out for other dogs to steer clear from unwanted interactions. Additionally, during house sitting, outside doors stay locked at all times, and your pet is watched 24/7. No escapes will happen on my watch! I am open to following any other rules, expectations or suggestions you have regarding your pet & house’s safety!

About: I cared for my dachshund Chili for 16 years before he passed away, and saw him through a range of health conditions and all of the age categories that require different types of care. My dog meant everything to me and deserved the best - I know what it's like to expect that as an owner and will do the same for your pet. I'm attentive to changes, will never take risks, and will be quick to act if necessary. I currently have my own medium-sized dog who we're training to be less reactive, so I understand having the occasional surprise during walks. I've worked in petting zoos and wildlife rehab centers, and I've been taught to handle everything from alligators to horses. Nothing phases me! Someday, I hope to run a nonprofit that provides mental health services while caring for rescued animals including dogs, and Rover will be a great experience. Currently I'm caring for pets full-time. My partner can watch our pets while I take yours on walks or stay with them overnight. The best way to keep animals safe AND happy at the same time is to have your eyes and attention on them as much as possible. I treat every animal as cautiously as possible, ready for every possible bolt, even if they're the most well-behaved good pup or kitty.

About: With one dog and three cats in our home, I am ready for your fur baby to have a fun playdate. I will love yours like it’s my own. I am currently not working so I am available anytime but Wednesdays. I can help last minute as well. Your fur baby will love to play with mine. I have a large house with plenty of room and pet-loving family. I have two litter boxes for cats and a large yard for dogs.
