“I was glad Paris was available to watch my cat while I was traveling during the busy holiday season. It was a relief to know someone would check on Clover everyday, allowing her to stay in a familiar environment. Paris sent me lots of pictures which I really appreciated and provided updates on how things were going. She communicated well about her schedule so we could plan with flexibility and even stayed a bit longer on some drop ins to give extra attention to the kitty. She also asked questions when unsure and was great about responding to my messages, questions, and suggestions. Luckily after the first couple days, I didn’t feel as anxious about leaving my cat at home or needing to check in on her too much, which made for a more restful vacation. Paris showed she was comfortable with taking care of cats - feeding, watching behaviors, tidying the litter box, etc. My kitty gave her some trouble with taking pills, so we opted to just do meds in the food to be safe. Despite that hiccup, they made good friends quickly and got lots of cuddle time and some play sessions. I know Clover was happy to see her everyday for food and lap time. And I was happy to stay updated each day. Additionally, Paris did well managing the entry/exit and security of my house responsibly. She was kind to forgive the clutter and everything seemed in place when I returned. And I think our working together helped keep things as normal as possible for my cat while I was away. Of course we pet parents might always prefer to be the ones always watching after them, but it’s great to have good supplemental caregivers when you need them. If you’re in the area and need a pet sitter, I’d definitely consider working with Paris.”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a pre-teen, but fell in love with animal care fully in my junior year of high school, after I began volunteering at the Everett Animal Shelter. Since then, I have changed positions and worked as a post-surgery volunteer with PAWS, transporting and handling anesthetized animals after they underwent surgeries. This summer I am also interning at PAWS again, this time as a Foster Care Intern, where I manage the entire foster care system behind the scenes. Additionally, I have worked with large animals such as horses while volunteering, managed and milked dairy cattle, and took care of pigs as my job on the side. I will continue to grow my portfolio, as I am a Pre-Vet Animal Science major at Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian one day. I am currently on summer break in my hometown (Everett) and have pretty open availability. I intern at paws from 8am-12pm on Sundays & Mondays, and 12-5pm on Thursdays, but other than that, I am free for walks, house sitting, or drop ins! Safety is extremely important during both house sitting & walks! For walks, I like to make sure dogs stay on the side of the sidewalk away from the road, as well as being properly harnessed and equipped with essential needs like poop bags and water incase of an emergency. I also keep a sharp eye out for other dogs to steer clear from unwanted interactions. Additionally, during house sitting, outside doors stay locked at all times, and your pet is watched 24/7. No escapes will happen on my watch! I am open to following any other rules, expectations or suggestions you have regarding your pet & house’s safety!

About: My name is Angela, I have been around dogs since my college days. I have taken care of my aunts' dogs previously, lived with dogs from my roommates and cared for them every so often. I have also cared for dogs in a professional ambiance through Rover and other clients on the side. I took care of 2 loving furry friends consistently from 2020 through 2022 in their home. I also dog walked and boarded a few clients through Rover that later became friends! I can provide care of older senior dogs and high energy puppies. I can also provide care to furry friends that have an ailment and administer medication if needed. I’m a teacher, so summers I’m free and flexible. My partner works from home so during the school year he’s available during the times I’m at work. On weekends sometimes we may go outdoors to the park, on walks, hikes, or hang out at home or with friends. We also go to church in the morning for a little bit sometimes. We don’t have any pets of our own so when we Rover, your pet will become part of our family and we will take care as such. I will provide the necessary physical activity that you recommend and beyond with play time, plenty of walks, lots of attention and affection, be attentive to the required nutrition depending on their diet. “Melody was wonderful. We left our Nemo with her for 4 days, this was a first since we adopted Nemo. We got picture updates everyday which made my heart smile to see he was having a good time and being taken care of like he was her own. He was having such a good time that when we went to pick him up, it took a minute for him to realize it was time to go, I think he wanted to stay. hehe. Thank you again Melody and we will for sure use you again when we go out of town.”

“I could!'t be more happier that I left Kuni with Helen and Nikita. We had an hour long meet and greet, and they are there to answer all of my questions, and Kuni meet their dogs Kuuki and Baci, they immediately become best friends! I got tons of photos and super detailed updates about Kuni every day. I know how he is doing when I first drop hime off, who he plays the most with, and how he gets along with all the other dogs. Kuni does not do well with the crate over the night, so they created a gated area for him to help him get used to the house and later let him sleeps wherever he pleases. Kuni is happy and comfortable staying at Helen's places and made a lots of friends. This is definitely one of the best Rover experiences I have so far!! Highly recommended!”

I would adore taking care of your pets at your home and taking them on adventurous walks with playing throughout the day.
