Let me know your dogs personality so I can support him/her the best. I am currently between jobs, and am flexible in my schedule to support your pet care needs. I am kind, patient, and will play with your pet. I enjoy going on walks and would love to get out with your pup. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. Growing up with family dogs sparked my lifelong love for animals, which led me to begin volunteering at the SPCA at a young age. There, I gained experience caring for all kinds of pets—dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and more. As a teenager, I worked at Hunt Club Farm, where I cared for horses and farm animals, expanding my hands-on experience even further. Now, as a senior at VCU and a part-time substitute teacher, I’m excited to meet and care for even more furry friends. I currently have four beloved family dogs who mean the world to me! I am spending my summer going back and forth between Virginia Beach and Richmond, so my schedule needs to be decently flexible. While in town I can work as much as possible. Every pet has unique needs. I am prepared to follow strict instructions if necessary to make sure your pets get the care that they need.

About: Growing up, my family always had a house full of pets. I haven’t had a personal pet since then, but thankfully I get to spend time with so many of them via pet sitting. I've done tons of sitting over the years, ranging from a day, to months at a time. I’ve handled a range of breeds of both cats and dogs. I am also certified in first aid and have completed a “Stop the Bleed” course. I’m available most days with a few days notice. About: I've grown up surrounded by animals my entire life, and that hands-on experience is what truly sets me apart. I was raised with three cats (2 indoor, 1 outdoor), caring for them from kittenhood all the way through end-of-life care, including demanding daily routines and administering medication. I also have two dogs of my own: a Mini Australian Shepherd I raised from a puppy and personally trained. He’s so smart he keeps me on my toes, which means I know exactly how to handle high-energy, high-drive breeds and the escape artists of the dog world. The other is a large pitty mix we adopted at age two who came to us with leash pulling, reactivity, excessive barking, and rough play habits, all of which I've worked through and successfully managed. I know how to confidently handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Mike walks Roscoe after breakfast and dinner. Since Roscoe is a senior, we frequently split the two meals into snacks and shorter walks. When the cats are interested, they climb into the backpacks and go see the world with us. I pay attention to the animals' behavior and routines. Consistency in feeding and bathroom breaks has made my pets very comfortable with my work and social routines. I have the flexibility to meet your routines and maintain the consistency you expect with your family while away from home. I recognize when it's time to stop playing, reduce the mileage, or go to the vet.
