About: Mike's first job was caring for his neighbors' pets. Mike has had pets since he was 10, and travelled around the world with his dogs and cats during his military career and regional sales role. Roscoe, Higgins, and Freyja are living the dream in the Pacific Northwest with frequent road (work) trips and cross-country visits to the family in Indiana and Massachusetts. Let me know if we can help you with your fur babies. Mike works from home and is an early riser. While the coffee is brewing, all the animals are waking up with bathroom breaks and breakfast. Mike walks Roscoe after breakfast and dinner. Since Roscoe is a senior, we frequently split the two meals into snacks and shorter walks. When the cats are interested, they climb into the backpacks and go see the world with us. I pay attention to the animals' behavior and routines. Consistency in feeding and bathroom breaks has made my pets very comfortable with my work and social routines. I have the flexibility to meet your routines and maintain the consistency you expect with your family while away from home. I recognize when it's time to stop playing, reduce the mileage, or go to the vet.
“Kirra has been an amazing Rover since day 1! She is great about updating me with pictures and how my pups are doing when she comes by. She has also been great about last minute changes and remaining flexible with schedules. I recommend her to anyone!”

“Meagan took such great care of our German Shepherd!! She was very professional, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure he got his energy out while we were away. Would highly recommend her for all of your pet care needs!”

I carefully follow the owner’s instructions, maintain routines, ensure doors and gates are secure, and keep pets in a calm and safe environment. I treat every home and pet with responsibility, care, and attention.

Whether it’s a daily walk, weekend getaway, or just some extra care during busy times, you can trust me to keep your pets happy and safe. Let me take care of your pets like they’re my own! As a stay at home mother I have the flexibility to be there when you need me. Short notice visits and care are always welcome. I am happy to continue your crate training or provide a free roam environment. We have a fully fenced in yard for potty and play time. I am also familiar with breeds that are unable to do long walks (such as frenchies) and can accommodate minor special needs.
“Whitney is fantastic! She offered to meet me and my puppy first before the first time she walked her. She is punctual and takes my girl on a nice long walk during the short time they are together. When I come home my girl is still snoozing in her crate. Thanks for taking good care of my Tilly girl!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for pets, including pet sitting for family friends and friends’ pets. I’m responsible, caring, and experienced with providing pets with the attention, care, and companionship they need while their owners are away. I work part-time currently, so I am able to fit pet care into my schedule mornings and/or nights. I will definitely share my schedule to figure out what time(s)/date(s) works best for the both of us! I decided not to care for pets at my home because my dog is an only dog and is not a huge fan of other dogs. About: Growing up, my family always had a house full of pets. I haven’t had a personal pet since then, but thankfully I get to spend time with so many of them via pet sitting. I've done tons of sitting over the years, ranging from a day, to months at a time. I’ve handled a range of breeds of both cats and dogs. I’ll gladly adjust my schedule to fit your pet’s needs (early/late hours for feedings, medication, etc.). I’m currently working part-time and can flex hours, so I have plenty of time to play with pets! I’m available for boarding on both weekends and weekdays as well. Just reach out and let me know what you need and I’ll make it work! I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex, equipped with a dog park and a washing station. I live in a large two-bedroom apartment with no pets, so you don’t have to worry about them getting along with another fur baby! When it comes to visiting or staying at someone’s place, I’m extremely careful to keep the doors locked at all times.
“Devi is fantastic! She arrived early, covered more mileage during her walk than any other walkers we’ve used, and she even brought water for my dog! She has her own special leash system to ensure dogs cannot pull away. I am really happy with Devi and trust her completely with walking my wild dog. I appreciate how professional she is, and would recommend her for anyone looking for a reliable Rover booking.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
