About: I’ve taught middle school for 10 years, so if I can handle that, your lovely pet(s) will not be a problem at all. I absolutely adore dogs, cats, and animals in general. I’m a quick learner, I always have safety in mind, and I have an incredible amount of patience and energy! It would be a pleasure to hang out with your pet! As a former teacher who’s decided to make a shift into a slower lifestyle, I am 100% dedicated to Rover at this time. I am organized and responsible, and I have excellent time management skills. I will be prompt and attentive to the needs of your pet(s). I look forward to spending time with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). I’ve been caring for pets through Rover for 5 years now, and I’m always attentive and loving, essentially how I would want people to be with my pets. I have two perfect cats that I love and spoil. My boys, Milo and Murphy, are getting up in age, but I’m proud to say I’ve been a consistent and caring cat mom throughout their lives and will continue to do so. About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a child. Not only did my family own dogs growing up, I volunteered at a shelter in college. Friends, family, and neighbors alike have trusted me to care for their pets. My company allows be to work remote; therefore, pet care fits naturally into my routine. While I might not be in a position to own a dog long term, per care comes naturally to me and is something I enjoy doing. I offer pet care in the clients home. I noticed dogs feel more at ease in their home environment. As long a there is Wi-Fi I can work from my clients house and tend to their pets.

About: I’ve always been passionate about dog care, having grown up with golden retrievers and cocker spaniels. As the family’s “dog whisperer,” I could connect with and calm any pup. When I moved to San Francisco, I began pet sitting professionally through Rover, offering boarding, daycare, and dog walking services. I often worked with up to three dogs at a time, ensuring each received the right care. Four years ago, I adopted Phoebe, my constant companion and inspiration for a structured, fun, and active routine. Safety, Trust, and Environment Ensuring the safety, comfort, and happiness of your dog is my top priority. I've designed my living space with that in mind, taking every precaution to create a safe and welcoming environment that your pet will love to call their temporary home. Space and Location I live in a spacious 1000 sq ft apartment with a fenced backyard, perfect for playtime and fresh air. We are conveniently located just two blocks away from Washington Square Park, a fantastic spot for daily walks and socializing with other dogs. Additionally, we regularly visit fenced dog parks to provide a fun and safe environment for your dog to run and play. Active Lifestyle As an active individual, I love incorporating dogs into my lifestyle. Whether it's a simple walk in the park or a hiking adventure, your dog will have plenty of opportunities for exercise and exploration. My golden retriever, Phoebe, and 1-2 other pups often accompany me on these outings, making for a fun, social experience for your pet. Doggy Areas Inside my home, I have two enclosed "doggy areas", each equipped with a comfortable dog bed, food, and water bowl. These areas are separated by baby gates to ensure each dog has their own space and can feel safe and secure. Feeding Time I'm well aware that dogs can sometimes become protective over their food. To prevent any potential conflict, I always feed dogs separately in their designated areas. This method not only helps maintain harmony among our furry guests but also allows me to monitor your dog's eating habits closely, ensuring they are eating normally and maintaining a healthy diet. Pet-Friendly Home My home is a paradise for dogs! I believe in creating a comfortable and relaxed environment for all my furry guests. Dogs are welcome on the furniture here, so whether your pet loves curling up on the couch or sprawling out on a comfy chair, they will feel right at home. Of course, accidents can happen - especially when pets are in a new environment. But don't worry, I am fully equipped to handle such situations. I have all the necessary cleaning supplies on hand to promptly and efficiently deal with any messes, ensuring that the living space remains clean and comfortable for your pet. Transportation and Adventures For those dogs that love a change of scenery, I have a pet-friendly 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan parked in my building, complete with doggy seatbelts for safe and secure travel. If you're comfortable with it, I love taking the pups on hiking adventures in the surrounding area. I ensure that these trips are never more than an hour away, and they provide a fantastic opportunity for your dog to explore new environments and expend some energy! Rest assured, your pet's safety is always my number one concern during these fun outings. Philosophy on Training / Handling Problem Behavior While I take a lot of effort to avoid and problems - we all know that sometimes, shit happens. I don’t believe in any punitive or negative reactions to such behavior - it either exacerbates the anxiety/trigger that caused it, and doesn’t do much to teach them anything. I have separate spaces in my home for a reason to account for this, and will give your doggo plenty of love to put them at ease. I will promptly let any owner about problem behavior - what happened, what I believe caused it, and how I am currently remedying it. I’m very patient with dogs, and haven’t run into a situation I haven’t been able to remedy. If your dog is a rescue with social anxiety, I tend to form a lot of trust with these pups with this approach. With rescue dogs, I view things from the dog’s perspective - any view a lot of their trepidation / behavior as a direct result of what humans did (or didn’t) do for them. I approach these dogs with the utmost care and patience when forming a bond to let them know I’m someone I can trust, and that it’s on their terms. I have a special place in my heart for these pups, so if you have a rescue that’s shy, please don’t be shy in booking!

About: Since middle school I have dog walked, house/pet sat, and cared for animals. it is my FAVORITE gig. The last 4 years I have cat-sat from January-April for a kitty who just this year moved south, so I have been missing the animal love. My family has always had cats and dogs, and I’ve cared for deaf dogs, dogs of every size, and cats for years. I have been told that when I leave a house sitting gig, the animals are very calm and relaxed when their parents arrive home. I am currently a full-time student doing an internship locally. I will have various availability but look forward to making sure I meet your scheduling needs! I travel occasionally on weekends as well. Nights and early mornings are my most accessible time. I work full-time but have gaps in my day where I can check on your fur babies and make sure they are thriving in their home. About: Pet owner from a young age: dogs and cats. My last two dogs have been rescue pit bulls named Misty and Lucy. I’m an avid walker (10k+ steps per day) and love having pets join me on my daily strolls. My work is part time and remote with a flexible schedule so I can adjust to your pet’s schedule. Fully available on weekends as well. I have a partially fenced waterfront home on a non-busy street. My home has one extremely animal friendly pit bull named Lucy. She is 12 and enjoys relaxing on the couch.

About: I am my neighborhood's resident dog lover and have known every dog in the neighborhood by name since I can remember! In 2020, I finally got my own two dogs, Teddy and Lily, and started house sitting and dog walking for other dogs in the neighborhood. I have never loved anyone more than my dogs, and I feel the same way about all of the other dogs I care for. I would be delighted to give your dog my full love and attention when you are away! I have a very flexible work from home schedule, so your dog would be my first priority! I rarely leave the house when I am dog sitting. I am experienced with walking dogs both on leash and off leash, depending on the needs of the dog and the environment. I am used to spending virtually all day at my clients' homes and only leave for very short periods of time.

About: I have grown up with a mix of big and little dogs my whole life. I am comfortable with up to four dogs at a time. Comfortable with puppies and dogs with lots of energy. I'm currently taking classes at TCC. I work at a restaurant at the oceanfront at night. And I tend to split up my time between Norfolk and Virginia Beach pretty evenly. But I love animals, and I'm so happy to help people take care of them. I’ve grown up with a variety of animals, including reptiles. I feel comfortable with almost any animal. And I have no fear. I’ve also grown up with some special-needs animals like diabetic cats and stuff like that.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets and critter friends for over 10 years. Friends, family, neighbors, and neighbors' friends and families have relied on me to walk, sit, bathe, play, and provide love and compassion to their animals. It brings me much joy to be able to share the same love and energy from pets as their parents do :333 I’m currently working part time as a muay thai instructor with dreams and aspirations of becoming a professional fighter! I train and coach Muay Thai at East Side Muay Thai. My training and coaching schedule allows me to choose a work schedule that supplements my needs without sacrificing my training and coaching hours! I have caring experience in friends and families homes and check off all the tasks and routines they normally have implemented for their fur-children, while leaving their space and pet better off than I found it.

About: I was nine years old when I got my first dog which was a Golden Retriever who taught me everything I needed to know about love, loyalty and tenderness. I’ve had many wonderful dogs and cats as companions in my lifetime. I recently retired from hospice nursing and look forward to the joy of babysitting my granddaughter, bird feeding and hiking. I have plenty of time. I keep a watchful eye on my cat Arlo when he goes outside. All animals are curious and can get in to trouble or get lost. I have a 6' fence and he wears a collar.
