About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life. I have experience with all ages and senior care, as my childhood dog is now 13, and I frequently pet sit and care for her. I have taken care of family and friends dogs as well, from the ages of puppies all the way to senior. With always being around various breeds, sizes, and temperaments, I have learned many things throughout the years. I have experience walking reactive and nonreactive dogs. As well as, bathing, playtime, potty breaks on and off leash, and, of course, giving lots of love and snuggles! I also have experience giving pills if needed. I would love to help with any needs you and your babies may have! I am currently free almost any day and time during the week. I am an ultrasound technician, and I am taking a break from working full time. I stay home and care for our home, and get to love on my doggy in the meantime. I have lots of availability to help out anyone who is looking for a caring person who will give their baby lots of love, and care for their unique needs. My dog Chili is a two year old rescue who was previously abused and became a stray. We had to help her overcome her anxiety through trust and training. We trained her to walk and potty on a leash, crate training, dog and people socialization, commands, and to be off leash. I have learned lots of patience and training skills to help her become comfortable with us and others. Now she is my little velcro dog and protector haha! I have learned throughout the years to always earn a dog’s trust to help ease any anxiety when meeting them. Boundaries are very important to me as well. If any are stated to me, they will be upheld. I appreciate those that listen to mine, so I will always listen to others.

About: I'm a high school math teacher and my wife works from home full time. Looking to watch after your little guys so we don’t have to get another one. Our dog Penny, has recently passed however we would like to keep her pictures and memory alive on this profile*. Most days I'm up early and dont mind being active and taking morning walks. Experience wise ive taken care of neighbors cats and dogs as a teen and have had 2 dogs myself over my adult years as well as turtles if you care about that. Dropping off your pet at my place seems like the best but I'm open to stopping by your place if need be. One of us is almost always at home full time to care for your pup. My wife loves snuggles and always looking for another blanket buddy We have a large yard and one friendly toddler looking for her next best friend. Overall it is a quiet home with lots of space.

With us, you can be sure that your dog will be in the hands of someone who enjoys dogs and their loving nature! == MEET AND GREETS == We personally do not require meet and greets but are more than willing to accommodate your request to have one, as we understand and value a mutually harmonious fit between all parties. Meet and greets will take place in the front yard and be limited to 10-15 minutes. Also, please know that we do not give tours due to liability reasons, however there are pictures on our profile to reference if needed. Our home is spacious, safe, secure and clean! We are committed to have a dog loving and caring life while balancing our "weekends". We are typically able to accommodate changes in your schedule/needs to adjust pick up and drop off times. Please let us know as soon as possible about any adjustments needed. == DURING YOUR PUPS STAY == Upon a dog's first arrival, we strictly monitor their interactions with any other dog to be aware of any dynamics we need to be concerned about. We do not hesitate to separate dogs into different play areas if anything seems off. Our property is fully fenced on all sides, and we have gates to keep even the best escape artist pups safe. Dogs have full access to our entire downstairs which open up to a well-maintained fenced in yard. == FEEDING == During feeding time, your dog will fed in their crate or a play pen area to prevent food aggression and upset stomachs caused by consuming foreign dog food of other pups. == SLEEPING == Crate-trained dogs will sleep in crates (please specify if your dog is used to a certain size, as we have a wide variety of sizes available. Dogs who are not crate trained will sleep in a pen. Special accommodations can be made for dogs who are not able to do either of those. == WALKS == While it is our goal to make sure each dog get proper exercise and socialization, we do not provide walks during boarding due to liability and risk factors involved with walks (dogs escaping from harness, eating something off the side walk, coming into contact with an unfriendly dog, etc). We do, however give them plenty of outdoor time with the other dogs or solo to socialize and play, which we find is ample exercise for the pups that stay with us. REQUESTED INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR PET Prior to dropping off, please fill out your dog's bio as much as possible. == THINGS WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR DOG == -Is your pup sick and/or contagious? -Quirks or habits that would be helpful to know (humping, chewing on paws, separation anxiety, excessive barking, etc). -Current or past illnesses, injuries, or traumatic history/triggers. -If they are taking any medication or require any special care instructions. -Is your pup up to date on vaccinations and flea & tick medication. We understand vaccines are not bulletproof and that some illnesses may have an extended incubation period but we highly recommend the vaccines to create the safest experience. *Please know that we are unable to care for sick/contagious dogs. If your pup shows any signs of disease or illness, please let us know beforehand so we can make sure you receive a proper refund. If we discover that your pup is exhibiting obvious symptoms of disease with the first 12 hours with us, your dog will need to be picked up and no refund will be issued. I am a stay at home mama. I pick up and drop off my children at school and have the rest of the day free to help take care of your dogs. We live in a very clean two-story home, fenced in yard, and all the necessities required to properly care for your pets. You will not need to worry as they will be in safe and good care during their appointments. I love to be outside and can travel for drop-ins, walks, and even in home sitting!

About: My family has had many dogs I have had to take care of. Other family members and friends have relied on me many times to take care of their pets while they were away! I am currently a full time student at ODU completing my pre-reqs for nursing school. Despite my school schedule, I am still available for your pets needs and am able to stay with them as well! About: From a young age I've been helping my mother take care of the many dogs we owned. Through the years we've also had everything from horses, cats, chickens, pigs and even rodents. It just seems fitting now that I'm an adult I would become an animal caretaker. I am willing to take care of almost any animal, if you have something unusual just ask. However I do prefer to not have to take care of certain reptiles. I'm currently unemployed so I am available most times of the week. I'm able to come take care of your pets whenever you are in need. About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of this year :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours WEDNESDAY thru SATURDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Sunday thru Tuesday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. Quality. Compassionate. Care. is what I provide pets. I want them to have the creature comforts that make them feel all warm and comfy and content.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 5 years old. I would go walk dogs with my grandpa and he would let me walk them. I am currently not working. I have plenty of time to spend with your cute pets. Those little fur babies will fit right on in with my day. If you need your little fur baby to be in a crate before I leave I am able to get them in nice and calm.
