About: Growing up my family always had a cat since we lived in a rural area and field mice could be a problem. My current cat, Penny was an orphan. From bottle feeding to bum wiping - I raised her from just hours old. Penny has always had an attitude and prefers to be left alone by anyone other than me. About: Hello! My name is Emma and my family currently own seven dogs ranging from various sizes. We have a 10lb teacup doodle to a 80lb golden retriever. I have actually raised 5 of them from when they were puppies to now. I have been dog sitting my own dogs from 6-7 years now when my parents go on vacation for a week or longer. I feed them, take them on walks and such. I also started accepting other clients 4-5 years back for over night stays or week stays. I don’t leave the dogs alone unless I have work or school. I also walk my friends’ dogs when they get busy so I have a lot of experience. I am unable to offer for pets to stay at my place because I have an apartment but I do not mind staying over to make sure your dog(s) are well taken care of. I always make sure to follow the schedule given to me by the owners and make sure that they get plenty of exercises and play time. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to take them out and watch after your dogs. I usually let them out in the morning around 6ish for the first time and will feed them around 8ish. After that I let them out whenever they went when I’m at home or about every 3-4 hours if I’m working. I feed them around 5/6pm and let them out one last time around midnight if needed. I also prefer to take walks early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid other dogs and avoid the heat. I don’t offer to board dogs in my apartment but at the client’s home, I do think the dogs are more used to and know what they can and can’t do. I will do my best to make sure there aren’t harm that will come to them but usually a fenced in yard or I can take them out on a leash as needed. I also can put them in crates as needed but usually that is not a problem.

Special accommodations can be made for dogs who are not able to do either of those. == WALKS == While it is our goal to make sure each dog get proper exercise and socialization, we do not provide walks during boarding due to liability and risk factors involved with walks (dogs escaping from harness, eating something off the side walk, coming into contact with an unfriendly dog, etc). We do, however give them plenty of outdoor time with the other dogs or solo to socialize and play, which we find is ample exercise for the pups that stay with us. We understand vaccines are not bulletproof and that some illnesses may have an extended incubation period but we highly recommend the vaccines to create the safest experience. *Please know that we are unable to care for sick/contagious dogs. If your pup shows any signs of disease or illness, please let us know beforehand so we can make sure you receive a proper refund. If we discover that your pup is exhibiting obvious symptoms of disease with the first 12 hours with us, your dog will need to be picked up and no refund will be issued. I am a stay at home mama. I pick up and drop off my children at school and have the rest of the day free to help take care of your dogs. I grew up with two dogs - a cockapoo-terrier mix named Baxter and a collie-husky-shepherd mix named Rocky - and and two rescue cats and now that I live away from home, I miss them terribly! We would love to be able to dog sit your pup while you're away :) I have previously volunteered at the SPCA and have dog sat for years, although had never done so through a company, more so by word of mouth. I have now been sitting on Rover for over 12 years. We currently live in a 5 bedroom, 2 story house on half an acre with a fenced in yard and the pups love it! My husband and I love animals and we can guarantee your dog will be happy and healthy staying with us! We do have two cats but they are very friendly and are great around dogs. I can assure you that your dog will be in a great and safe environment staying with me and will have a great time away from home! I am available most nights and weekends for pet-sitting and would be happy to bathe, walk/run, administer medicine, etc while you're away. About: I have had pets since I was about 12 years old. My fiancé and I now have our own 2 year old golden. I love all dogs and have experience dog sitting family and friends dogs throughout the years. I work full time from home, so I can be flexible depending on my work meetings for the day. I will be able to give your pup lots of attention. I will follow whatever rules you provide me with when walking or checking in on your pup. I like to keep your dogs routine the same as you like to keep them from being overwhelmed. I have experience with reactive dogs, so please share with me if your dog is reactive to other dogs or humans so I can be aware of that.

About: I like animals more than people and I’ve never met an animal I couldn’t make friends with! While I am new to Rover, caring for animals is not new to me. As a kid I helped my dad raise three litters of puppies, which taught me early on about responsibility, patience, and proper animal care. Over the years, I’ve always had anywhere from one to four dogs and one to two cats at a time. In addition to dogs and cats, I currently have or have had bunnies, turtles, fish, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, and cows. I also have experience caring for and riding horses. I’ve helped with the birth of puppies, goats, and piglets. While I’m not a veterinarian nor do I have formal veterinary training - having owned and cared for a plethora of animal species, I have learned a lot about animals and gained a lot of hands-on experience. I’m comfortable caring for sick animals, administering basic medical care, and monitoring health concerns. Animals have always gravitated toward me — especially the shy, anxious, or less trusting. I’m patient, calm, and genuinely enjoy earning their trust. While your pets are my responsibility, they will be spoiled, loved, safe, and well cared for. I recently decided to leave my people-y career after 15 years. Again, I prefer animals to people so I can’t think of a better way to spend my newly acquired free time! My schedule is pretty open with a day or two notice. Your animal(s) and home will be loved, cared for, and respected. About: Dogs have always been a part of my life! At one point I had 5 shepherds! I’ve always volunteered (or was paid 🤭) to walk my neighbors dogs when I was younger or watch/play with friends and family pups. My energy has always matched theirs! I’ve watched pups for extended periods of times while friends were out on a boat DET or deployed (cats too!). Animals have just always had a special place in my heart 🫶🏼 I’m active duty military and when I’m home, I’m not a big traveler so I am home a lot. The extent of my travel has always had something to do with my dogs. Hiking, trail running, Going to the beach- if I can bring them, I’m doing it! My husband owns a gym with a HUGE fenced in dog yard that he takes our 3 shepherds to every day. So that is an option if you’d like your pet to have the freedom to run around with other dogs and be around people every day! Let’s chat and we can work something out! I work from 9-2 and my husband works 5am-12.. the rest of the day we are at home playing with the pups, taking them to run around dismal swamp (it’s more like a park) or building things. We don’t travel much, our pets are our world so we like to be here with them and take them on adventures! They have to live their best life too, right?! My availability is very open and I look forward to playing/caring/watching your pet! Customer (and dog owner 😉) service and satisfaction is my goal! I have a fenced in yard with 3 loving GSDs that we have had since they were pups! They sleep in our bedroom with us at night and there isn’t a kennel in our home. If your dog sleeps in a kennel or needs to be kenneled when no one is home- that’s perfectly fine too! We have extra comfy doggy beds for your pup when they’re boarded as well! My home is a safe, loving environment so rest assured, your pet will be treated like they’re my own!
About: I have had many different pets growing up. I am very comfortable around pets of all sizes and ages. I also have had years of experience at different pet boarding facilities. This includes playtime, exercise, feeding and medicating many different pets on a daily basis. I am currently focusing on school at the moment so I pet sit part time on the side. I do mostly online classes so this doesn’t take away from caring for pets. I do prefer pets to be crate trained but not necessary. I have a small senior dog at home that is dog/cat friendly so if you wish to board your pet they must be small dog friendly.

Tazz seemed happy in all the photos shared over the seven day period. She was happy and healthy when we returned to pick her up. We have discovered that dropping Tazz off in Elizabeth City as we head north to Washington DC adds only 15 minutes one way to the drive. I would definitely leave Tazz with Christianna again.”
